  1. New to competitive shooting and reloading jumping into open. I wish you luck my friend. I would dry fire, a lot. Get Steve Andersen's book and then get Ben Stoeger's as well. Scavenge every piece of brass you can, you are going to hurting for super brass. Like HP Jack said, get a chrono. Good luck.
  2. On a loaded start you are correct. You could also run that Trojan in single stack minor depending on your equipment, gun weight, and fitting in the box. Either SS minor or limited 10 I recommend you getting 10 rounds magazines so you can utilize the maximum rounds the divisions allow you. P.S. limited 10 with a single stack gun allows 170 mm magazines.
  3. I think the saying goes like this. Splits for show, transitions for dough. Work on target acquisition, I have seen many a SROM do very well by the way.
  4. That 4.25" will get you pretty far. Get the required equipment for what divisions you want to play in and spend the rest on ammo and training. Once you feel that you are proficient enough that you "need" an upgrade you will have a better idea of what you want. Gear is no substitute for practice.
  5. This is what the LGS advised me to do while they were selling me some 700X since I can't find any other powder to load 9mm with after I run out of my current powder. They advised a cheap electric razor. I havn't tried it yet and wonder what more experienced forum members think. Eric Go down to the local pharmacy and look in the feminine hygiene section for something cheaper then a razor...
  6. I have seen some attach a small vibratory motor to the side of the powder hopper while loading flake powders to get a more consistent drop.

    G35 Arrived

Dawson fiber front and fixed rear. I personally have both Heinie and Warren rears on different guns. +1 on the base pads if you don't have them already and you should be good to go for a while.
  8. Those are from the SJC website. I has used them but I don't shoot limited enough to get them myself. The purple one is the same that Tori is using the the above picture.
  9. Sig, it bolts on to the weight and the frame. Same spot that the SJC C-more mount is drilled, actually uses the same internal bushing. Here is a decent picture. I am sure you could run it without drilling but I am not sure how that bracket will hold up to a heavy thumb.
  10. Frame is a standard gen4 but the slide is the same dimensions as a G34-G35. Supposedly fits your production holsters.
  11. SJC 5 port for major/minor switching is my recommendation.
  12. You could shim the lower screw on the DOH in between the holster with a washer to angle it straighter.
  13. Sig, I have played with a *thumb rest [generic]* one before. To me it seems to settle a little nicer and give you a consistent purchase on the gun. Not sure if it was the frame weight or the pedal but my vote is yes. Just that the pedal requires you to drill the frame as well.
  14. I went from factory 115's to 147 to 124 and now I am back on 147's. I suggest trying them both out and using a timer figure out which you shoot better. To me,124 felt more natural coming off of the snappy factory rounds but I perform better with 147's. I've loaded MG, PDelta, Bayou, zero, and black with good results. I do not recommend lead for a stock glock barrel. Powder and primers from powdervalley.

    Glock 35

Basepads, either Dawsone EZ offs or Taylor freelance brass bases. Sights, Dawson's, TTI, Warren, Heine, 10-8 are all good. Magwell is not mandatory but helpful. You could always run .40 minor in production as well.
  16. Factory mags hold 17+1, Brazos tuned hold 20+1 and sometimes hold a tight 21+1. If you want factory "tuned" mags buy some SVI ones. Although those are $127.16 for aluminum followers add $8. These will hold 21 out of the box but you are going to have to modify your frame to accept them.
  17. Jesus, $600 for 4 magazines! Ouch....... I wonder what the deal would be...$400? Deal is $400 for 4. Steep? Maybe but let's run the number's. Mag bodies $55 Base pads $32.49 Grams guts $16.90 Each you are looking at $104.39 just in parts. Deal or not?
  18. The question is, was the price tag the same as it was 4 years ago?
  19. Same with the majority, Dawson's.
  20. Front sight is on the barrel and not the slide, doesn't reciprocate. You end up with a lighter slide and a heavier barrel and some say it is easier to keep focused on the front sight.
  21. Biggest difference in between the Edge and Apeiro is that one is a sight tracker. They feel different in the hand when shooting.
  22. Sight radius helps quite a bit on the longer shots. Very similar to a G17 to G34, M&P9 to M&P9 pro, XDM 4.5 to XDM5. I think there is a reason as to why quite a bit of "gamers" choose the longslide versions over the standards.
  23. In response to your question. Possible but not a good idea. You can buy Golddot, saber, hornady etc. projectiles and load them but I wouldn't. The was a legal case a few years ago where a guy shot and killed an intruder in his home. Because he used reloads the burn patterns from the gun powder on the "victim's" clothing did not match the factory burn patterns. So it was decided that he was much closer when he pulled the trigger than his defense stated. End result he lost. This happened on the east coast in the mid 2000's I believe.
