  1. I LOVE the rts2. I don't notice the small height difference at all. one thing that started to bug me with the 90 mount was my weak hand thumb being crowded and wedged into the mount leg. Ive now got a split thumb nail from that which is permanently split! the rts gives nice clear ejection path, plenty of room on the left for wh thumb and dot is basically as low as a 90 cmore. I just bought a brazos rts mount for the sv and it will soon wear an rts2 as well. I'll probably even stick one on my 22/45 steel gun which currently has an upright cmore. Amatt, if you don't like the cheely rts2 mount check out the Brazos slipstream rts2 mount. I like that it has no shield. I really think when set back the rts2 doesn't need a shield even with Popple holes. I was was planning to replace the cheely mounts on my 2 cks but the offset (which is small) hasn't presented any problem yet. I don't notice it when shooting and haven't yet found any real windage issue with zeroing it. To be honest if I change it'll probably be to get a mount with no shield. I think they look cleaner.
  2. thanks Slimm. That's a cheely setback 90 mount.
  3. I actually don't know who made them. They came on a set of 5 old style sv 140s I bought. They are quite nice. They retain with a set screw in the front that wedges the front of the tube between the head of the screw and the front of the pad. They are nice on 140s for some extra weight and length.
  4. Ok. Firstly excuse the crappy pics. Yes they are not in a stylish background etc but this is what I could do... my current open rigs. Ck thunder ck hardcore svi imm (with long dustcover) the thunder is newest and is now primary. Hardcore is backup and sv is getting a metal grip and rts2 to more closely match the other two in balance/feel.
  5. Bummer! the first one could well be lack of comp clearance. The second one I have no idea if it's a fit/machining issue or just a faulty slide. I hope ck will look after it.
  6. It definitely works on the ced 7000. Fully programmable as is multi-par. It's a nice feature. Start beep, first shot beep, then maybe a reload. Works great to dryfire drills like 4 aces.
  7. If you have a cz just shoot it double action. Or or look at the cool fire trainer. It's a co2 barrel that cycles the gun. Expensive but gives you a real trigger and some recoil.
  8. If you have the $$ a product called regupol is pretty good. It is a manufactured ballistic range surface made from recycled tires. It comes in the shape of pavers so you just grade the surface then lay them with sand. Grippy wet or dry. Very low maintenance. Safe (no ricochets) and slightly forgiving if you tumble. There is us dealers but here's the German page: https://www.berleburger.com/en/products/sports-flooring-special-flooring-indoor-facilites/regupol-shooting-ranges/
  9. Shot coach works for me. Apart from being free I'm confused as to what ways people think this is better?
  10. I don't know what the Koenig enhancement kit is but if you mean the Koenig trigger kit/ultimate trigger kit then it's excellent. I don't have a spartan but there's nothing special about the spartan (apart from the frame being made in Philippines) that would prevent it working nicely. it's a great hammer and the other parts in the kit are EGW and also excellent.
  11. get a pic of the underside showing clearly the disconnector rail. that may help. That is typically where I can spot a difference between say an STI slide or SV slide etc.
  12. xdnok, I'm curious about where your slides cracked too? ejection port? or?
  13. perhaps leupold can supply spare screws?
  14. if cha-lee did that he'd need a second house just to store the empty primer trays!! especially if they are federal primers!
  15. great match at nats. truly top level performance well deserving of your 2nd place (even deserving of a win). NO DELTAS!!! just 2 mikes to max's 10 and just 1 NS (was it on one of the mike targets? M/NS?). Yes you gave up some time but in the end your accuracy is what got you there. Now you just need to find the right balance... after all this sport is really very simple. it's a POINTS PER SECOND game. in this case max simply had a few more points per second but it was so very, very close. Looks at those names behind you. Coley, Koenig, Jonasson... Now you know for sure.... you CAN get that #1 spot.
  16. Fed is undisputed #1. 2nd gets a bit hazy but my feeling also is win would be my 2nd choice.
  17. There are basically 2 options in projie type: jhp or RN cmj (some shoot fmj with exposed base but that will create leading in the comp). Jhp are the premium option but cost a little more generally. Once you choose profile then there are really also just 2 weight options: 115gn and 124/125gn both are popular. Try some of each weight. For powder 3n38 is the premium option. Clean, meters well, plenty of gas, low (for major) pressure. It's a great powder but a little pricey. Hs6 is a popular 'budget' option. A load i like: 124gn RN cmj, 9.1gn 3n38, 1.235 oal, fed srp in starline sc brass. Makes just on 170 pf in my kkm barrels which have 3 popple holes and 3 chamber comp. to develop a load you need to start a bit lower and test with a chrono. But 3n38 with a 115 or 124gn is the Cadillac of 38 super major loads.
  18. Yes unfortunately the publication/prior art messed up your ability to file a patent. It may also affect ammobots ability to patent.
