  1. alpha and wilson, did you get the dominant eye for front sight and target distance for the other? Geezer here.
  2. TTI over Arredondo, much easier to disassemble and you can get them in different colors, so if you load soft or strong loads you can see by the color.
  3. Yea. its enough to drive an hour each way on a weekend to shoot. So competition and practise are the same here.
  4. fishsticks, mostly shots over 100yards on or under a barricade
  5. I was looking for some youtube or other help on how to position your body when shooting the AR in 3gun and came up empty.
  6. Is it like a colt where you can hold the trigger down after the first shot and manipulate the hammer to go faster?
  7. glockworx did a great job with tape on a glock and I bought it from a buddy who is going back to the .45
  8. If you are taking your weak hand and rotating forward and locking the wrist its easier to do that if your index finger is below the guard.
  9. I have an airsoft that is a model of a glock 35. I shoot the the bioecco rounds at boxes in my backyard. Not the it helps me much in competition.
  10. Put some neon red paint on the front and back if they don't come with color.
  11. Its a fast acquisition for targets that are close and you do not have to dial in your scope.
  12. Its like the old stereo argument where the cost of the refinements vs the rate of return starts to go way up in price, may I add reliability?
  13. Use them in cowboy pumps, but use federal for modern 3gun.
  14. I am an older gentleman and I prefer flipping the gun strong side and loading two with my left and the pistol grip gets in the way. I consider myself lucky when I do not rank in the last three. If I were younger and had the time to practice more then I would shoot Taran's benelli as it rocks.
  15. I have both, not fond of the pistol grip for flipping upside down on the shoulder and loading. 1301 comes with some modifications already.
  16. I know you said interchangeable lenses, but if you want a small one check out the Sony rx100. The sensor is 13.2mm by 8.58mm. Zeiss 1.8f lense. Shutter speed up to 1/2000. You will have $ leftover. Sony also makes a small interchangible camera as well, and they have been really playing one up to nikon and canon for the small market.
  17. You know SASS is pretty cool, especially if you have the guns already.
  18. You might be able to buy an airsoft pistol that is a copy of what you use for pistol.
  19. Out of the box the 1301 is there for you. Loading any shotgun is a trip as for any stage it helps to know after misses what you need to load where.
  20. I back ordered a lifter from Brownells and it was delivered quicker than I thought it would be.
  21. I have shot cowboy for years and I am very new to modern 3gun (2matches) so take this with a grain of salt. I played around with different shotgun loading styles for modern and settled on the strong side load two style with the shotgun upside down on the right shoulder. I grab two with my middle finger on the seam between the two so I can jam the second one easier. Being a geezer this method works the best for me. The setup is more expensive no doubt.
  22. Been using walnut and car wax for about an hour.
  23. Have you tried running like 100 rds of factory ammo to rule out the reloads?
  24. Anyone load up a bunch of mags before the match so there is more time for other stuff?
