  1. Did you pee your pants when you got the letter?
  2. Someone (a person) ships to your choice of gun shop(FFL) or meets you at one and you do the FFL paperwork.
  3. I shoot a little north of you. For 3gun you have an AR and you have the 1301. If you can tune the spring in the colt 10 and reload, bet it will serve you well for both. The common advice is to come out and compete=play and take your time on all the equipment choices.
  4. I tried one on two 20 round mags and could not get it to work, assume they don't or my screen names tells the story.
  5. Vortex viper 1-6 with the throw arm and .45 irons and lots of mags, plus very light. Can I get a water bladder too?
  6. I did not go, but a recent all rifle match wanted you to carry a bucket with your loaded mags in it and shoot holding the bucket. I was already tired from the day before. Back on point I'm with KA, index finger on lead side of bullet and guide it in.
  7. I would not want to wash my brass by hand so just reload it or get a tumbler and medium and some trays. Find a cheap case gauge. Load up about 50 rounds and then shoot them to see how they paper and feed. Calibers for max feeding length.
  8. Yea, the slow release on a light spring could make that happen, but when is there a slow release in operation? There is a dynamic between tuning and malfunctioning, but that does not mean you cannot use lighter springs that come with the factory model.
  9. yes on Taran, his girls are good. Do you know about Zev in Oxnard, they do a cool oxide or something coating like a fine sandpaper, very nice.
  10. Never came to mind, but thanks for that.
  11. How often can you go to your car at that range? I always bring too much but leave some in the car or cart. Local club you shoot the target as much as you want, but there is par time and failure to engage issues. Have fun!
  12. Got the redding push through and realize it will not go in a progressive and I had just ditched a single stage taking up room in the garage. I ran the stuff that would not case gauge thru the glock and most of it worked okay, but for competition, will case gauge everything.
  13. Glock, kkm stainless barrel: My once or twice fired starline brass will case gauge like 92 out of 100. Other brass, shot in other glocks will not case gauge better than 60%. Will not seat all the way. The U die will do great, but it rides above the shellplate. I read that someone ground theirs down.
  14. Thought the sheafs got inflamed. Had it with shotgun and used elastic bands when shooting. Probably started with gas powered hedgers and chainsaw. Not a lot of blood flow in tendons so it takes awhile.
  15. most bullets are .401. I have had all sorts of trouble reloading with .40sw. Using range brass lots of problems, using new starline none. The whole bullet bulge is normal. Back to getting range brass to case... Tried the Lee factory crimp die, did not work. Tried the undersize die, did not work, still a little glock bulge, bought the redding push through die and pray I can get range brass to behave itself.
  16. I have to play with this tried using 165 gr bullet, 4.0 hp38, 13lb spring and would like to go lower-1.135 OAL, glock
  17. tg35, yes polymer coated work fine
  18. Revolver works cool, load 2 or three
  19. I need a youtube video that works for 100 IQ
  20. I only use federals and they are available if you look around long enough. +1 on Sarge and seating.
  21. I suppose you could come out even on that. I see lots of people using the 45 degree iron sights. JP makes one that is one piece. You need room on the rail or need to add a rail on your handguard for JP. I was talking to a guy today who has lots of experience, and said I was going to add a rail for JP brand. I use 1x6 and he said given that scope, the speed is about the same between turning between 1 and 6 or leaving it on 6 and using offsets. What HP said about matching equipment to the range.
