  1. Can I take a G40 gen4 MOS and swap out the 10mm barrel for a .40 barrel and am good to go? What about 9mm? Gracias.
  2. I like the design. Wear foam ear plugs and muffs any where near an AR.
  3. It all about how far out the target is and the penalty when you miss it.
  4. I like a long sight picture which means a longer barrel, and the bullet gets more time as well. Glock 40 gen 4 i want.
  5. Okay by me if you do not press check, hope to shoot with you sometime.
  6. +1 for Haltz and springs. Somewhere I found the burn rates for powders, and it helps to compare different powders. I prefer a slower burning powder than titegroup, like HP38.
  7. Yes, the rotary cutter on self healing cutting pad makes cutting old t-shirts to the size needed a fast job. I did find that dress shirts do not do as well as woven material.
  8. Pick one that fits your stuff. Brownells is a little long for my shotgun.
  9. Use 4.1gr of HP38 with 180gr bullet. Local matches in 3gun do not need a certain power factor.
  10. I use HP38 and for light loads use 4.1gr. Shotgun and pistol powder are pretty interchangeable. Titegroup is hotter than HP so I would say make up some rounds up and down from 4.1. You have to tune the powder load and bullet to the recoil spring too.
  11. If you are on a budget, 3gun will break the bank unless you can and are happy with stock stuff you already have. Shooting open will really break the budget +3 for Glocks, add to that a long barrel one like 34 or 35. Reload in 9mm as its cheaper than .40 and less of the brass bulge issue. Use your not perfect reloads for practice. Buy a case gage. There are sources for once fired reloads that are much cheaper than your local store. Carpool is cool as you can chat about shooting at the same time Cowboy 3 gun can be fun Visit a match first, then start with what you have
  12. I get her statement. You are engaged, you spend a lot of time shooting and she does not shoot. She is concerned once you are married you will do your hobby all the time and not do stuff with her. As long as u 2 can talk about stuff and pay attention to what you are both saying or trying to say, you will work it out okay.
  13. Yes, dillon carbide dies. I know some take the dillon sizing die and grind it down to get it all the way down, did not think of tightening the shell plate as well. The push through die runs twice the cost of the EGW, so I will try that first. A lot to learn about reloading!
  14. g35, factory mags only, with stiffer springs. Not sure on the variance. Dillon press with Dillon carbide dies. Chutist, I will look at the EGW U die. As is the sizing die is all the way down to almost touching. Thanks guys! I use starline brass and it does okay, but its the range brass that will not pass the gage.
  15. I finally figured out after getting a case gage for .40 that the range brass had lots of issues with it, so I am springing for a push through sizing die to run stuff through first, and then putting it on the dillon. Had issues with AOL in my glock and realized the 1.135 is the max not the minimum, running like 1.126 or so now. If it hangs in the mag, its bad. For the crimp I take just a case and bullet, run it through the cycle and then pull the bullet and see if I impressed the groove into the bullet, adjust so its not deformed and then do press the bullet into the side of the workbench. This is my current recipe for reloading but I am not the smartest tool in the shed so help me if I am off base. As you can imagine the bullet puller is my friend now.

    Glock 24 versus 35

I would like to have the the longer distance between front and rear sights that comes with those models, but live in CA
  17. So, back to scope...we all use something to correct vision, but what works for looking through a scope or is it a short distance thing?
  18. I heard of Japanese shooters who trained on airsoft (cant use real pistols there) and held the pistol up close, elbows really bent. They practiced as lot, came to US match and did really well. Not sure if its true or not.
  19. I like teklok as well on a the two CR speed belts. I use it for pistol matches too. What Pat said. Quick to change out for the stage at hand.
  20. Can you put in a 13# spring?
  21. Not that I know much, but assuming you buy one rifle, then pick one that fits the ranges you will be shooting at. The longer out the targets the longer the barrel.
  22. online sale today, cyber monday, their website. I like the way the dirt looks after a few people trump around, looks like a bird conference.
