  1. I might have to think about switching powder, haven't seen Unique in a while.
  2. For pistol all I mark are the military cases so I know the crimp has been removed so I don't have to check it closely. For 223 I usually mark so when I pick up range brass I have an idea what was mine.
  3. Think I might try these out in 9mm. I started casting my own bullets recently and have gotten pretty good accuracy but they are a tad smokey. Haven't tried them in a match just stationary plinking so not sure if it's going to mess me up or not. If they do, I will probably use cast for practice only and coated if they work for me for matches. Currently reloading Xtreme/RMR plated for matches.
  4. I have seen this headstamp in a few pickups, can't tell you if I've reloaded them yet or not. Seen them when sorting. Right now only thing I scrap are Amerc and Armscor.
  5. I have about 2500 of the 124gr's down the pipe in my XD. I prefer 124gr projectiles vs 115 especially if you are shooting USPS/IDPA and have to make power factor, 124gr's feel less snappy.
  6. I've shot about 2500 of the 124gr's from them have about another 500 left to load up. Going to pick up another 1k as it's winter time indoors and can't shoot my home cast bullets. They seem to be a good value especially their new lower prices.
  7. Quoted for Truth I run 4 on belt and a 11rd first mag in production. I'd like to get another mag to have a true barney mag that way I can insure round chambers without a doubt. Right now I run my finger over the loaded chamber indicator on my XD.
  8. My Pro Auto Disk throws at worst +/- .1gr of Unique every time, it's usually spot on. I found after a couple hundred cycles it really settled down and is how it is now, there was a lil more variation at first. If you need different loads, modify an existing cavity to throw more powder. Hope the Loadmaster treats you well...I can't justify the gamble on one, I'm sticking with my Classic Turret before I drink the Blue Kool Aid.
  9. Both clubs I shoot at as long as you are helping to reset people go ahead and pick up brass, half or more people are shooting 9mm so people just grab some here and there. I try and get the 45 shooters their brass back since that is like gold. Last match I knew our squads RO from weekly practice I tried to grab him handfuls now and then and threw them in his bag since he didn't have time to pick up.
  10. Got a small Gerber folder in my pocket, love this little knife. My boss asks to borrow it a lot, it was cheap enough I might just get him one for Christmas so he stops bumming mine
  11. Ditto, have 2 pairs of pants and shorts. They regularly have coupons for 10-20% off so they are a steal.
  12. You can add me to the list, I'm currently unclassified. Have only shot 3 matches so far and the first one I dumped it horribly 1.22% I missed 2 targets that I thought I hit. Last match scored a 49.05% other club doesn't do classifiers that much for some reason, not sure if they'll have one this Sunday or not. I'm hoping to start C class....but I probably will start D class. Hopefully the indoor matches this indoor will have some classifiers so I can be classified come spring. A82371 - Production
  13. Yes, most likely too small of bullets or they are being swaged down when seated/crimped. You have to really flare most cases to seat lead without swaging them down at all.
  14. Reading this thread has made me paranoid... I guess I will need to get to the doctor relatively soon and ease my mind. I haven't been to the doctor in over 4 years I think now... I have only been reloading for a year and shooting heavily for about 6 months but I did recently start casting as well. If the doctor asks why I would like it tested...any ideas on other than I'm a gun enthusiast? lol
  15. How early is too early to register for December's match? I can't think of a better way to spend my birthday than shooting If so how do I go about registering? I hear the winter matches get booked up quick. Thanks
  16. Every indoor range I've shot at only allows plated or FMJ.
  17. I'll be there. Can we get some of the swingers/stars at practice nights? I crashed and burned on those at a match this past weekend at LGC.
  18. Camo is a bit odd...but I wear LA Police gear shorts and pants. They are solid colors and not overly obnoxious. I wear them regularly as well because they are really comfortable.
  19. I've had the Classic Turret for about a year now, it was my first and still only press. I reload 9mm on it and some 223 (having issues so haven't loaded much 223). I average about 150-175 an hour going relatively quick but not rushing. I check OAL and powder drops every 20-25 rounds. The Pro Powder measure is throws Unique +/- .1 gr all the time, but I do it for piece of mind. I might add a single stage to the bench for dedicated depriming (I SS Wet Tumble) and resizing cast (just starting this as well) shortly if I can find one for a steal. Since I've just started getting into shooting more heavily (USPSA) I might need to make a switch to progressive eventually.
