  1. I have used CCI 400's in my PCC for awhile now as I was able to get some at while still inflated prices not terrible and safe my actual pistol primers for my pistols. I tried a few rounds in my Glock 17 with light striker springs and they still fired...though honestly it was only a handful of rounds.
  2. Very true, I don't shoot much 9mm pistol in competition currently just PCC and now 40 in Limited. For PCC I'm running semi hot 115gr's so I'm sure factory 115 or 124's wouldn't be too different.
  3. Honestly unless primers start coming down some more like $60 a brick, I'm starting to eye buying cheap bulk 9mm from Targetsports with ammo prime...saving 5 cents a round when I'm really busy even with the 650 seems less appealing. The only way to cut a lil more savings about 2 cents is to try to score deals on blems at American Reloading or something...I usually shoot Blue Bullets. I'm shooting more 40 this year as I switched back to limited which there is still quite a big savings there so I'd rather use my primers there.
  4. Thanks everyone, EGW seems like the ticket. I'll have to figure out which exact one I need (I can't remember the cut on my slide) and get one on order. Probably will wait till after the Michigan Sectional to swap it out. Still up in the air if I'm going to shoot Limited or PCC at it.
  5. I have a Brazo's 2011 I picked up several months ago. It's a sweet shooting gun but thinking I might jump on the LO bandwagon. Not really wanting to mill the slide right now incase I want to switch back to regular limited. I know dovetails aren't as nice/low as a milled slide. Probably will be an SRO or Holosun so would need something RMR footprint.
  6. I picked up a Brazo's 2011 in 40 back in November, I don't mind shooting irons but I do struggle with it. Thinking I'm getting a dovetail mount and slapping a dot on it. It's a sweet shooting gun.
  7. 220 yards is the longest I've taken my 13/16" Taccom out to. It was just for fun, even with relatively hot 115gr's the holds were pretty nuts to hit a 12" plate. Did hit it several times, it was funny shooting and waiting for the faint ding. Then pulled out my red doted 223 AR and everytime it hit the plate it smacked it hard as hell
  8. Blue Bullets primarily for me anymore, still have some RMR's I load up and they are great bullets if you want jacketed.
  9. Well that settles that...I'll have to get one on order. Thanks everyone.
  10. I've been happy with my C-Mores on PCC and RFRO. I run an 8 MOA for USPSA and 12 MOA for Steel Challenge.
  11. Looking for suggestions on a C-More mount, I currently have a railway mounted to the supplied rail and it just sits too high for me. I lose the dot all the time in recoil and it just feels unnatural as I have to hold the gun lower than I'd like. I have no problems shooting a dot on my Glock 17 and tracking the dot...it just feels weird. Suggestions on a sideways or low profile mount I can use to get the dot lower?
  12. Fishing fests, those Khaki vests, UTG vests, etc not a normal jacket, shirt, etc was what I was referring too. It's not something you would normally see at the mall per the rules...I honestly can't believe they used that analogy.
  13. Saw this on an AR15.com thread...so are the vests people normally wear that are trying to be more "gamer" not allowed now?
  14. Very true...I much prefer to shoot 9 as the brass is everywhere and the projectiles are slightly cheaper...but it would take a lot of ammo to make up that difference if you think of the cost of buying brass and more expensive projectiles (about 5 cents a round total).
  15. Maybe? I just bought a 40 cal Limited gun a few months ago so I'm kind of tapped out on funds for a bit...unless they do major then I might get a dovetail mount to give it a whirl and if I like it have a slide milled or another slide fitted.
  16. Thanks everyone, I guess I'll try the 180's first and see if I can just standardize on that.
  17. I'm picking up a nice Brazo's 2011 this weekend for USPSA. I'd like to get some more trigger time in at Steel Challenge matches as well and get away with a little less recoil. I've seen people saying to use 155 and 180's with the same powder charge but what about 165's? Will be using Sport Pistol most likely. I'd like to stick with Blue Bullets as I've found their coating more forgiving and also I order all my other pistol bullets from them.
  18. I don't think you should have issues with any 9mm load. My clubs plate racks fall with 22 even out of my pistols.
  19. I primarily shoot PCC, but when I shoot Carry Optics I run a Glock 17, I carry a Glock 19 when it fits my attire if not Glock 26 (no dot but I shoot this gun just as well).
  20. Is there a takedown thumb rest that is legal for CO on a Glock? Specifically Gen 3's
  21. I prefer 124/125/135 never was a huge fan of 147s...just seemed a lil too slugish in handguns. In PCC however I really got hooked on 115's going 1175-1200...recoil was harsher than 124 but the gun is really flat.
  22. I forgot to follow up on this one, I shot 10 rounds of my PCC ammo through my Gen 3 Glock 17 that I have set up for CO with a 3lb striker spring and it set them all off. Definitely small sample size but I'd be shocked if a stock sprung gun would have any issues.
  23. I'm around 500-600 on my 650, I have to go slow or my press throws my 9mm 3.8gr loads of Sport Pistol all over my shell plate...well it still does but it's not as bad as going faster. Might need to tweak the alignment or play around with it.
