  1. 20-25 I just started middle of last summer however that is what I project to shoot this year, I was shooting 2 a month last year. There will be some weekends that my wife has to work that I might venture to another club match that I don't normally attend as well this year.
  2. The range I took my concealed pistol class at didn't either...guess how many times I've been back since? Sucks too cause it's a nice indoor range and like 3 miles from my house.
  3. I'm more than willing to setup Wordpress, get the essential plugins and a theme setup and customized if my help is wanted at no charge (I won't turn down 9mm brass or beer though ). I can even update the information for awhile if someone sends it to me. I haven't done much freelance lately, but here's my site running on Wordpress none the less - http://deszell.com/
  4. I've really only ran into them on Aquila and Federal cases. I'm sure there are a variety of brands that do this though on certain runs of brass.
  5. For example Area 5 could have a website similar to this built off Wordpress using a free or relatively inexpensive theme that can be customized for our needs. http://www.paisleypanthers.co.uk/ http://theroyalgolfclub.com/ With things like club listings, directions to clubs (via Google Maps), member areas that could be restricted to certain individuals, event signups, photo galleries, etc. Wordpress is very easy to work with and is quite secure.
  6. Wordpress? The Blogging site? There is hosted (wordpress.com) and self hosted (wordpress.org) which you setup on your own server and you can do damn near anything with. http://wordpress.org/ For examples of how flexible it is, check out this gallery http://welovewp.com/ It's much more than a "blogging" platform.
  7. Create the site using Wordpress, there are a lot of extensions you can add to it and it's dead simple to use and customize (to an extent). If you have any questions let me know, I do a lil freelance web design by night and manage e-commerce stores in the day.
  8. Depending on your powder measure Unique can throw just fine (I finally lucked into an 8lb jug today ) Especially if you are just plinking it will do just fine, my Lee Pro Audo Disk throws dead on most of the time, if not the max swings are +/- .1gr Lots of other good suggestions in here as well.
  9. I wish I could mine a berm every now and then...though I guess I've never asked. I do pick up chunks of lead when resetting steel if its just sitting there. I'm not a member at any club currently.
  10. Check out forums like Castboolits. I've picked up lead for $1-1.25 delivered a pound.
  11. I'm seeing primers regularly available however I still can't find any powder for 9mm. I'm going to stack it deep once I can find it, a little worried about the 10k primer limit...but I guess I could see if my Dad would mind keeping 10k in his basement.
  12. I'll have to think about attending...I'll get slaughtered but would be a fun time. Only shot club matches so far.
  13. I plan on coming out on Sunday (1/26) to my first match at Top Gun. Has it been determined which location it will be at? Approx Round Count? Thanks
  14. I almost scooped up some E3 the other day, probably would had if they had any primers cheaper than $35/k at the same place to save on HazMat. I still have enough for a couple thousand rounds but I'll need to re-up in the next couple of weeks, if it's still available I'll suck it up and try it out. Only used Unique so far so I've been hesistant to swtich, but haven't seen any Unique in forever. I have the Lee Pro Auto Disk but might be getting a Dillion press in the coming months, how does it run out of their powder measure?
  15. Usually I tumble in the basement so I dump it down the sub pump hole.
  16. I use 2 sprays of RCBS Case Slick in a container with 9mm brass just to smooth things out. It takes noticeably more effort on my Lee Classic Cast Turret press without the lube to resize.
  17. Not Indoors but come spring - early fall Wayne County Raccoon Hunters in Romulus, MI has practices on Thursdays from 5:30-8pm. http://www.raccoonhunters.org/activities/uspsa-ipsc http://ipsc66.org/
  18. I've been contemplating shooting some IDPA and adding a revolver to the mix to do so. I don't want to get confused with rulings as easily. I don't think I'd like USPSA with the high round count using a wheel gun.
  19. Thanks easternNC4me, saved this to my Google Drive for reference later.
  20. I have some of those same SNS bullets to load up and try here soon so I will keep an eye on this thread. For my self cast bullets, 127ish grains @ 1.12 OAL 4.3 gr of Unique (most accurate) 4.7 gr of Unique (still accurate but had a few fliers and was pretty snappy) As a reference I run 4.7 gr of Unique with 124gr Xtreme Plateds at 1.15 OAL (need to chrono to see if I make Minor PF, chrono is on list of things to buy) and it is really accurate out of my XD.
  21. I do this with every round I use in matches...if it hangs up at all I throw it in the practice ammo box. I had one batch of Federal 9mm range brass that must have been shot out of an old Glock or something...almost everyone failed the plunk test.
  22. The Xtreme plated bullets are supposed to be the same bullets Rocky Mountain Reloading resells. They are plated pretty thick and can be pushed to mid to upper jacketed velocities. I'd start with FMJ data and work your way up. Chrono helps (I need to get one myself, maybe after Xmas).
  23. Until I saw the price I was excited....$149.00 for an 8lb jug is too rich for my blood / I don't need it that badly. I can wait another month or two before re-upping at a better price. Thanks for the heads up though.
  24. I have 500 of the SNS 125gr's on my way. I ordered around 4:30PM Sunday had shipment notification at like 8ish AM Monday morning. I know the coating is the same...I think I'd prefer the gold coating over the dark green (which is what pushed me this way over the Bayou and Blue Bullets).
