  1. Quite the contrary. How would limiting to slide mount only do anything but aide in better development for these types of optics Sent from my Z796C using Tapatalk
  2. Buy a threaded LW barrel and a comp for your glock and run 9 major($200 or less). Get 170mm mag and go play in open. It wont cost that much more then setting up something for PO. From the guys I see shoot open, if you gun doesn't jam you're in pretty good shape to win. I understand that logic, but Glocks don't fit everyone.
  3. One of the main points of this is reloading cost or the ability to run factory ammo. Everyone is focused so much on the equipment race. Every division is an equipment race. It promotes handgun evolution, which is a good thing for the sport. Shooting a dot is fun. I've only done it once, but it was a blast. I will probably never have the disposable income to shoot in Open and be competitive (having a backup, maintenance, reloading, mag tuning, new rig etc.). But I would enjoy shooting a dot in a division where I could be competitive with what I could afford. Especially if I could have an interchangeable slide set for one frame and use the same rig. Then you could do the Nationals similar to the Lim/Open Nats last year with Prod/Prod Opt. We have 6 divisions, and only one allows the use of an optic sight. That needs to change. Maybe if we change the name to Practical Optics....or Tactical Optics...either way, it's going down. The old dogs just need to accept the fact that there will always be new tricks. Y'all may not dig it, but I guarantee it would pull more shooters than the 3 divisions with the lowest participation.
  4. the trigger doesn't increase or decrease the mechanical accuracy.....your thread title is conflicted, probably why you got the "practice" responses.
  5. No joke...living in the humid south doesn't help either. I keep steel wool in my range bag and use it quite often. Been thinking of making a switch to the nickels Sent from my Z796C using Tapatalk
  6. Indoor= bad, outdoor= good. Is this what you are saying?
  7. BladeTek holster w/ BOSS hanger Ghost pouches, bullets out w/OEM mags

  9. I think that would be the best idea, especially if the division allows Single Stack (Like a 4# first pull minimum) and only allowing SA with SS guns. I brought this idea up a few months ago, and I know it has been raised a few more times previous. I believe it would be a big step forward for USPSA. I also think all of the opposing arguments are VERY weak. I know it might not be the best decision and I might ruin a perfectly good Production pistol, but I think I will be having a slide milled in the near future to start a beta run for the proposed division. I encourage all who are heavily in favor for this idea to join me. We could keep track of matches shot, equipment used, etc. Someone said earlier "If you build it..." I say we take on the challenge.
  10. I'm hoping for a Bruins vs Blackhawks rematch....last year's playoffs was the best in years
  11. Hell Yeah!!!! LETS GO BRU-INS!! *clap, clap...clap-clap*

  14. I like this idea too, keep 'em coming! I found a piece of 4" wide hard wood flooring works best. 6-8" piece flipped upside down, hammer fits perfectly in the grooves.
  15. Shot mine for the first time yesterday...and wowzers! Mine is 6#/ 2lb 2 oz per request. Trigger is unbelievably smooth, and the reset is so short. Best analogy: Old cell phone buttons vs. touch screen...the pre travel is so minimal it is imperceptible.
  16. FIFY Very small percentage of people who have character strong enough to not allow money or lust sway their morality
  17. I'm assuming Stuart is CZ customer service rep? Does he have an ID here? I may call him tomorrow... thanks for the tip eerw....cz gunsmith & guru
  18. I would send Stuart a PM. I seriously doubt he would be unwilling to help diagnose and address the problem.
  19. I haven't changed my handload since day one. Montana gold 147 on 3 grains of Clays - makes 128 PF. Very accurate when new... accuracy started to go out around 8k and is now unacceptable at 10k... new jug of clays? is it temp sensitive? maybe your scale is off? just trying to help troubleshoot
  20. A few questions before you continue to stay disappointed...purely because I have had nothing but great service from the guys and gals at CZC, especially Stuart. 1. Have you checked to see if your rear sight set screw has loosened? I have had trouble with this until I flooded my rear sight with red Loctite. It would wobble loose after several thousand rounds and would scoot over up to 1/4". If that sight is moving in the dovetail, it would definitely affect YOUR accuracy. 2. Was there a change in ammo when you started noticing this change in accuracy? That could be another cause. I have a very hard time believing any big name gun would lose accuracy, and that severely within only 10k rounds....and definitely not a Shadow. Maybe after 50-60k.
  21. We use a similar version at our club. a matt is correct. Unleveled ground is the main nemesis. We use broken pieces of target stand sticks to shim up the base before staking. Works well.
  22. Vacuums, prostitutes, and black holes....
  23. round count won't affect your classifier scores, but will force you to reload once more on long field courses
