what is the nearest airport to fly into ? is the range in the boonies or is there food and accomodations close by ?

finding Sport pistol is like finding unicorn tears . i think n320 is available because its a pretty expensive powder

when i tried n320 back about 10 years ago i thought it was in the same range as TG and BE according to all the data i had read. When i tried it myself, i found out its i ahd to up it 10% over the same charge of TG to get the same velocity. i had to push it to 4.4 with a plated to get the 135 pf with a plated 124 grain . this load was accurate and no pressure signs i have noticed data getting more and more conservative over the years . not sure if its liabilty or better way they measure pressure.

just as a test and to make sure i am not crazy , i grabbed a couple of norma brass and resized them in my press with a lee die and SD pin. not even a hic cup. punched like it was not there before and after pix

my lee die with a squirrel daddy pin ignores these like they are not there . never sorted cases in my many thousands of rounds i have made .

i shoot mostly in the Seattle area for about 10 years. i have heard of this brassing thing, but have never experienced it here. people shoot and leave it . if you want your brass back,you pick it up after the match .

as i am on the west coast i am a little biased to sG or Vegas. the great thing if its in Vegas is the amount of flights that fly into it every day from around the country. also the weather is usually ok in sep oct. also , the entertainment in Vegas is excellent. i don't drink ,smoke or gamble, but i always have a good time in Vegas . i checked a random weekday package to Vegas in Aug . i used my location on the west coast and ATL GA . the same package of hotel and flight on Expedia was within 20 dollars of each other.

Maybe for next year? i love shooting in the SW . been to mesquite the town , but not to the range. never knew it was so big

i would run the rounds over a chrono to check the velocity. 147 ,s if driven too slow i have found will keyhole.

even before the virus i stopped going to certain matches that were 100 miles one way from home. just not worth it to me . now that gas is almost $5 in my area , and the lack of primers, i am thinking of skipping this season and finding another hobby. i have not seen the numbers drop at matches even with the cost of ammo and gas. in fact they are seem to keep going up . getting a hundred shooter is pretty common now at the local matches

i started 2020 season with 13k primer and 2k ammo . 2020 season was pretty much aa dud ,but in 2021 i shot around 7k rounds in matches and practice. I opened my last 5k box of primers last week and intend to load it for next season. after that i am dead in the water unless i can find primers. i know a few others that are in the same boat. they had enough for a couple of season and hoping that the stuff will come back. but it does not seem like its going to till 2023 according to some sources. So how many of you guys are in the same boat?

i have a set of comptac 3 that is my main hearing protection. it has factory gel cups. they seem to have flattened a bit over time, but have no leaks. everything seems to work as designed. So i am curious if they need to ever be replaced if not leaking. any change theirs on a regular basis?

Must have missed it in my old age. LOL So i found out that the match coincides with the Huntsman games and that is one of the reasons why rooms are so high that week. might have to skip it . too rich for my blood this time

will there be a match hotel for the red rock rumble? the hotels in both LV and St G are crazy for that week.

Sups is one of my favorite ranges and i heard they were closed for a while to redo things. Curious what was done . Anyone know ? i heard they had to reorient the bays

like the op i always had concerns about the powders that take up little space in a case. WST , RS comp are good fluffy powders of light color that can be seen easily and fill up the case well. easy to get powders also .

looks cool. might buy one when it comes out. always had good luck with frankfort products. i am hoping they come out with a chrono to compete with labradar

it may be that the full mags are causing drag on the bottom of the slide. i would also check the velocity of the load . may need a little more juice. that longer slide might need extra oomf to work right.
