  1. school is what i am thinking. he is on his last year of biz school and probably could not devote the time to schedule what infinity wanted from him. School is way more important than shooting in my opinion. making a living at shooting is not an easy endeavor. better to have a degree to fall back on . of course i am just speculating
  2. i have one of these and its worked fine for pushing glock SW and other sites out. the trick to using it is the butt the slide against the block and then only use one side of the pin that holds the slide . this way you area pushing against a big block of metal instead of a plastic pin. my mp shield was the hardest to move. i heard a big pop when it did. https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Handgun-Pusher-springfield-others/dp/B016R4DXJW
  3. seems to be pretty clear that a person can shoot multiple divisions in a match, but if they shoot the same division twice in the same match , the second score is not recognized. the question could be what does not recognized mean? does it mean that persons second score is separated from the match?
  4. we often have matches that due to the current events are split into am/pm squads. its one match, just split times. i have seen a couple of times that a person shoots both am/pm in the same division. i always thought this is not proper. you can shoot the match twice, but it has to be in another division So can a shooter shoot the same match twice in the same division?
  5. if you are using .355 fmj bullets in 9mm major it will work just fine. just use it as a final crimp die. i shoot a lot of coated so i no longer use the FCD and jsut went with a lee taper crimp die and see no difference from the fcd other it does not resize the coated bullets
  6. my area is pretty much closing for winter. a few matches here and there through the winter. season starts up again in feb/march go through oct so about 7 months . just shooting matches 4 times a month will burn up 1k . i have enough for one season (10k) and that is it unless i find primers . we had a match this weekend and speaking to some of the other shooters , a lot are like me in that they have enough for the next season. some said they are out unless they can find ammo at reasonable prices. these are mostly the non reloaders the talk is there won't be stuff for at least a year and maybe even longer. if this rings true, how do you think it will affect uspsa in the next couple years .
  7. You don't want to DQ . DQ at a major means lots of money gone and go home. Dq at local means a few bucks down the drain. i ahve seen it where folks were balls to the wall at locals and then cautious at level 2 and up
  8. Back when practiscore was in its infancy, there was a lot of debate if the cost of tablets etc to go electronic was worth it. when we figured out the cost of paper and time involved ,we then knew that going electronic would save a lot of time and money in the long run. i can not imagine going back to paper . now the new tech debate is the AMG timers to increase accuracy in scoring
  9. i shot a bit before practiscore came into regular use. you got how many sheets of paper for the amount of stages and filled them out. sucked when they got wet in the rain. then they had to be inputted by some sap in the stats shack that rarely got to shoot. some times it could be days or weeks before results came out . had to also avoid the dinosours that would fly around and steal the papers every once in a while . once results was sent out via email to shooters , it usually was just one row with all result . you had to figure out on your own who won what division. you guys that only shot with practiscore and instant results don't know how good you have it
  10. i helped my nephew install a holosun on his gen 5 19 MOS. everything fell together with no issues. the plate adds very little to the height of the sight . i like the plates as another foot print sight can be installed quickly with no fuss. when you mill a slide you are stuck with that foot print.
  11. many matches in my area are shutting down for the rainy season soon so that will help folks on the ammo issue .. folks that have stuff now are concerned if they will have enough stuff for next season. lotsa talk out there about the primer drought lasting a couple of years
  12. my understanding is a D/Q can only be given by the RO's working that stage at that time or a match official. if anyone in the peanut gallery could D/Q anyone then that would result in anarchy. I have seen many times a guy should have been D/Q ,but if the RO did not see it, it did not happen.
  13. just this past weekend i was at , an RO used a long " if you are finished " when the shooter was done. he clearly did this to give a hint to the shooter that he had forgot to shoot a target that was behind a barrel in front of him. i have seen it a few times before in the past ,and thought giving these hints is wrong. So I would think of this as coaching. is this kind of action addressed in the rule book?
  14. i can get BBI right now . Gallant took my money right away, but they don't have the courtesy of returning my email. if i don't get something by friday i will cancel it. hopefully they give back my money as quickly as they took it
  15. ordered a case of 147 fp 7 weeks ago. sent an email last week asking for the status. no reply other than an auto generated reciept. i am thinking of canceling my order as there are other places that i can get it quicker now. So has anyone got any orders from them recently? how long did you wait ?

  17. nope . no heat needed. with pusher they jsut came off any direction
  18. buy sight pusher. worth the money in damage sights and slides
  19. i have loaded thousand of 40 @ 419/20 crimp and it seems to be the standard for 40
  20. just tumbled 1k blue bullets and have done more in the past. it will do nothing to the coating.
  21. wet tumble pistol brass and and then dry in food dehydrator . Do about 1500 at a time. get a shallow pan .. put on gloves and spray the bottom of pan with home made lube. then add brass to pan and spray some lube on gloves and then use hands rub it on the brass. then start loading on progressive press as usual. then i put ,usually about 500 loaded rounds into vibrating tumbler with corn cob and some polish. run for 30 min to an hour to remove the lube and also polish up the rounds. before i did this step and l found the lube to attract dust and dirt . never had a problem with tumbling loaded rounds. i have watch vids that show even factory ammo is final polished.
  22. got my order on Thursday. loaded some up yesterday and smurf fingers are back. i had previously loaded 2 cases of 135 TC made before the high demand and had no smurf fingers. also, those that have gotten them recently, compare the recent to older ones and see if the coating is the same thickness. my new ones seem to be not as thick as the old ones.
  23. I just got the standard manson one. Anyone know if these can be resharpened ?
  24. got the reamer today. Couple of turns and it is done. can even load PD 124 hp to 115.5 and it still plunks. worth the $60 and another tool in the arsenal
  25. Ordered the reamer this morning. The price to buy vs rent was not enough difference to rent one. I don't mind paying for a tool I might use in the future . Now just gotta wait for it to show up
