    CZ TS Orange

When you change between different weight bullets, the POI may be vertically different between them. So adjustable elevation lets you fine to ammo you are using and the distance you want to zero the sights to. The windage doesn't typically change as you play with different ammo, or different distances to zero gun.
  2. Hahah ha -- I had the very SAME experience with the 013!
  3. Delta point works awesome, most anything reliable does also. For USPSA distance stuff (5-25 yards) a 6-8 MOA easy to find and works great (as does 7.5 MOA Delta Point), similar to what folks use on Open guns. I did prefer with a riser on mine on AR style guns, Leopold has an AR riser that goes between mount and optic, or you can use any rail mount riser.
  4. I've used most recently Ernie Hill / Guga Ribas (worked great), and before that Manny Bragg Futuristic Magnetic. Main issue with the adjustable ones is getting trigger guard retention set just right, since CZ has rounded trigger guard vs 2011 flat bottom.
  5. Similar, major matches = new starline brass; local matches = once (or so) fired; practice anything I've picked up (but I do case gauge all ammo, that that does help me find split cases)
  6. I agree with Steve, 50:50 pins:brass is the most efficient in terms of minimum run time for brass that needs to be scrubbed, and then 1/2 to 2/3 full brass/pins vs remainder to top water. You can of course do anything else, it just may require longer run time for results you want, but also highly dependent on condition of brass. I can do once-fired nickel with no pins, soap and water, and it looks new when done. But generally for me, pistol brass, 50:50 brass/pins in an hour so looks great. When I would overload brass vs pins might be double or more the time for same results. BTW, even when I've given a recommendation that works 100% for me, let someone borrow my setup, others had problems, here are some of the variables you'll play with once you are up and running - Hot vs Cold water, hot is better especially dirty rifle brass - Hardness of your water -- if you have hard water, you'll have to play with what works with your soap or even use water softener - How much soap / Lemishine - Pistol brass cleans pretty easily, but rifle brass may need enough soap/hot water to actually clean vs just leaving everything with uniform film of stuff
  7. No, you'd be good to go. Make sure to have a dozen or two 2011 frames as well before you arrive :-)
  8. If the follower has been modified, or replaced with CZC thin follower, (either to allow more bullets in mag), you will find follower won't cause slide to lock back on empty mag. If you haven't intentionally don't this, you should compared followers that do lock back with those that don't and see if they've somehow worn.
  9. Because stock 2 is not on the CA roster list making it illegal there. That is how i ended with an extra S2 trying to help a friend in CA get one early last year when price were at a premium. To clarify the gun is not illegal to have here. It's just not on the list/roster that allows an FFL to sell it new, or transfer into the state to most folks. But someone moving here can bring with them, LE can still get, and parents out of state can gift to folks in state. And in state, anyone that has one here is free to sell it to another private party, and it's perfectly fine to purchase from a private party. All tanfos, CZ shadows, gen4 glocks, vp9s, and 2011s are about double the price here in Cali. California distorted pricing for a good while through end of 2014, there was a buying frenzy to get them before a loophole that allowed most anyone to get it was going away. Now, If you are in CA, expect to pay a premium for one that is already here. If you are not in CA, prices should be going back to normal, there isn't any urgency for any premium to occur.

    Heaviest 9mm for wife

Tactical Sport Orange from what I understand had a grip reduction similar to Czechmate -- trigger undercut and grip reduction under beavertail makes it feel a lot more like SP01 Shadow than TS (my experience with Czechmate).
  11. My normal N320 production load with 147 Acme bullets (3.2gr, 1.125 OAL, 132pf) won't run reliably in my SIG MPX. Duration or volume of gas not enough. It will run with more powder but that's not soft. FWIW, the fast powders don't seem to pickup any velocity in the PCC. Right now I'm at 4.1gr N340 with ACME 115 @ 1.065 (125 PF in pistol, 135 PF in PCC) which is pretty soft. I'm still playing with it, next step to see if that is enough gas to work a comp or just keep dropping powder until I'm about 130pf in the PCC.

    Heaviest 9mm for wife

Another thing to consider is hand size, the SP01/CZ75 has a noticeably smaller grip that the Tactical Sport (or Stock II). And you can play around with that a bit between the thick stock rubber grips or the thin aluminum grips. So if you wife doesn't have bear paws (I don't have them either), she might enjoy the the SP01 Shadow or CZ 75 CTS LS-P.
  13. The Shadow Target has an LPA rear sight cut which isn't available from the factory for a SP-01 Shadow, that milling is done in the US by CZCustom (AFAIK) to create that pistol.
  14. Red Hill Tactical will have SIG MPX magazine pouch very soon I'm told :-)
  15. Unlike TS where there is a 170mm mag body, there does't exist the same for CZ75/SP01. Here's my understanding of best ways to get to 170mm 9mm for CZ75: 1) have 2 mag bodies welded to get to length, basically the second one extends bullet/follower area, and you have it sized to existing pad, like CZC short pad 2) use the 26 round CZ75 magazine, then modify basepad/length slightly to get it under 170mm, because as-is too long. You get more bullets with CZC follower and spring.

    Sp01 slide price

Agreed $350 is reasonable for new. Recently I've sold a few new ones slightly less than that to move them quickly. FWIW, apparently the IDPA guys like them also to put on top of their CZ75 frame. (and the new SP01 Shadow slides I using for those frames I believe are $525 or so)
  17. Happened to me also, sold the new batch to a buddy and switched to Acme 147 which work ok in my CZs at 1.125
  18. Totally agree. Ultimately I don't thing the mag capacity of CO will affect it much one way or another if it's stays where it's at, or changes upward. But 10 rounds does keep it most accessible to all, both on provisioning of equipment, as well as locations for major matches where folks will travel to.
  19. One option, Red Hill Tactical: http://redhilltactical.com/products/copy-of-double-layer-competition-holster-drop-attachment-owb
  20. That is the old DeltaPoint mount. The new one uses bigger screws. Same size at the RTS2. That being said, Cheely just made 10 mounts for Team Akai shooters for the Pro. We should have then in a week or so, so yes he is/can make them. Of COURSE there is something new before I even use the ones I got last August, LOL (been playing carry optic ...) ... will the old Cheely mount work OK with DP PRO or any issues the new one addresses? (edit: OK, got 'new' ones on order, will compare when they come in, have both old and new DP)
  21. Same for me, the CM-2000. 20 or 30 cranks and most of the pins will have dropped out (9mm). I stop and rinse a little while doing this, but more for through rinsing than pings. The Frankford Arsenal magnet does a good job with pins that want to cling near the seams. I have better luck with this media separator vs smaller ones in a bucket. The brass gets dumped from this in to a large beachtowl I use to do a rough dry. There normally about 3-5 pins that will fall out during this. Spread shells out and last pass with magnet, might get one or two more. Set brass out in sun to dry. At this point brass is 99.9% pin free. I use a .40 ammo tray to scoop to case feeder, the 40 tray is last check to find 380 or 38 super that has slipped by before (easy to spot because of height in tray), At this point pretty much never see a pin, more likely to find a case with stuck piece of gravel in it.

    Czechmate

My experience was that you could run factory ammo just fine. It didn't require a lighter recoil spring but you can certainly try one for a few dollars to see if you like it. I'd still run with the comp on it, just for the weight, even if your ammo doesn't have enough gas to get the ports working for you. (FWIW my experience with Cheely 90 degree mount)
  23. Arredondo & LimCat I know do. Also Matt Cheely http://www.ccgunworks.com/store/shop/deltapoint-mount/ ; and for SVI, I've seen twice now posted on the Infinity group that the DP Pro works on their RTS2 mount if you remove the indexing pins.
