  1. Sitle link .05 is what I'm running. IT is cheaper at brownells. The only bad thing is the site black rubs off. More of a paint than a bluing. So I got out my trusting Sharpie after I had it sighted in. It does help you find the sight faster.
  2. Wolf ammo the oxide coated 45acp is just fine, it is a little hot. Runs through all my guns just fine. The old wolf ain't so hot. No dirty than PMC. Aquilla I find is dirtiest. I wouldn't reload it as steel casing will crack much sooner than Brass will fatique. Plus you can pick up your casing with a magnet!!!!
  3. check under toolbar view then you'll see text size. That's if the only thing goofed is explorer fonts, not the desktop
  4. My skate board shop sold me just what I needed by the foot. Bought 3 different grits went with grey fine.
  5. GG&G extended top rail on sale at Botach. $60.00 Some Warne high quik throw rings. Gets my leupold, same specs as the Simmons, far enough forward as I like to put my nose up against the charge handle.
  6. Buried toxic waste! Check to see what your land was before the developer came in.
  7. I have forward it to all my employees for use during staff meetings.
  8. Just did a littler wandering through the hubble pics. Reality is awesome, it will be great when some human actually can see these things for himself.
  9. Telephone, Internet, tell a woman. The woman is still the fastest.
  10. Deciding whether to use deadly force in a public place is something that experienced law enforcement professionals know should never be taken lightly." Same scare tactics they tried when the CCW was passed. There will be anarchy in the streets, the OK Corral shootouts will be happening every weekend. It will Gary Kleck more data to study to again prove the idiots are in fact idiots. Completely devoid of common sense.
  11. Get a big wide safety with a slide shield and really use that thumb. It is the only finger with its muscles in the hand. It can really help control recoil. If you have small hands somebody makes a lowered version that will help you get your thumb up there.
  12. http://terraserver-usa.com/ Much better than google.
  13. Derrick is a grease man on the bolt, carrier. He has his gun awash in grease. Probably doesn't throw his rifle in dirt much. But it did prove a point with clean burning powders. The AR design of gases in upper isn't a disadvantage as many people try to slight the AR for.
  14. Merit makes a model called the hunter which is only 1/2 inch in diameter and fits completely inside the A2 sight channel and doesn't extend past handle in rear which keeps you from dinging your glasses on it. I use the nose to the recharge handle position. Helps me find the sweet spot fast. So what the widget does is mount the Merit hunting disc in the 200 aperture of standard AR sight. Here is the brownells discription and pic Mfr: MERIT Adjustable Aperture Eyepiece Sized For Hunting Sights Compact, adjustable receiver sight discs give choice of iris openings from .025" to .155" diameter. External "click" spring
  15. I used to laugh at old shooters who couldn't see the front sights any more. Now I can't see the front sights any more. Wear progressive lenses. Its oK but you can't find the sweet spot when you need it. So I changed to fix focus lenses that focused on front sight for dominant eye and other eye has infinity focus. It helped shooting steel, but I just can't see my holes in the targets as fast as I used to be able to. I guess having the brain switch from dominant eye to other is little slow. So I fiddled with the rear sight on AR allow me to select a aperture size that sharpens the front sight. It works good. However it used the large aperture hole in my rear sight. So Now I don't have large hole to use on close stages and have trouble skipping targets because you have no field of view. Plus as light varies ideal size hole varies. JP sells an expensive Palmer rear sight, that you can put the Merit disc in. Now you got a variable size hole. Works good So here is my question, would you over 40 guys buy a widge-it that allows you to put a Merit disc on rear sight of AR with no modifications to gun or sight and no disassemble required????? Also it would be cheap under $20.00 Thanks for reading
  16. I use the anti-fog stuff for divers face masks. Clean the lenses with something like windex or 409 then apply the face mask stuff. One drip is enough. Then smear around and let dry completely then polish off with cotton rag. That should carry you through the match.
  17. Am I missing something here, it just a Para clone. Yes I would like to see good quality high cap mags for para. Para stills sells the P15 and P16's right? I've built mine from frame kits so I'm not sure about the quality of the internals. My favorite carry is a P12 with Commander Les Baer slide and Wilson barrel. Along with some Novak sights. Tuning the Para Mags has always be a ammo wasting pain.
  18. Alot of states offer tax rebates and other incenetives to companys to hire the bums on welfare rolls. So what you get is workers who are P!ssed that they have to work instead of getting it all for free. Don't get me started about welfare.
  19. Leupold shotgun scope virtual the same as Simmons pro Diamond. But I like the reticle in Leupold better. It a heavy duplex with thin strata in middle.
  20. This is one I know to stay out of!
  21. They will work for goverment and be promoted for brown nosing and always agreeing.
  22. AS long as you don't have spring bind, which is not caused by buff's I don't believe any damage will result. Slide velocity, slide weight, slide travel all interact to control bullet feed. Two buff's reduced travel which reduces time for Mags to get another round up there to be feed. So if you don't ever have any feed problems or ejection problems. I guess there is no problem.
