Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. HAHA, yes, reloading my .22LR... That's gotta be fun, I was just listing the guns that I shoot often...
  2. Sweet, thanks a lot! I'm ordering some now...
  3. What do ya'll know about the CCI Blazer ammo? Nantchez has a sale, I can get 2000rds SHIPPED for $320 ($70 less than 2000rds of whitebox winchesters from Wal-Mart... That's $6.90/50 before shipping... Is this stuff anygood? Consistent/Accurate? Will my Ruger like it??

  5. Awesome, I appreciate it Jay. Thanks again for turning me to this site, what a wealth of information and great people! I'm sure Chuck will be able to answer this better, but did you put your site on yourself? Is there anything to aligning it? BTW, went to Gator Gun last Saturday, tore the center out of a silhouette @ 15yds, when are we gonna go shooting?? I've got a match Wed. night
  6. I just noticed this Saturday when I shot at a range with very poor backlighting... My foresight sucks! There is hardly any hi-viz orange/white on the blade. What would it take to replace/repair this? It is the factory Ruger open sight, and I'd like to keep them open... Perhaps a hi-vis fiberoptic bead like we use on shotguns? Or, would a dab of orange paint be better? Is this somethign I can do myself? It feels like the sight will come off (tiny allen keys perhaps?) THANKS!! Ruger P90
  7. I just noticed this Saturday where I shot at a range with very little back light... My foresight is terrible. The dot is barely visible, and I found myself tracing off the side of the target to try to memorize the sight picture, as I couldn't see it well... Worthless practice day... What is the best replacement sight? I want to keep it open, nothing too fancy, maybe a fiberoptic bead at the most... It's on a Ruger P90 .45, stainless Thanks in advance!!
  8. Thanks a lot guys, I think I'll go ahead and get a reloader within the month... I shot trap competitively for years, and I know that the reloader paid for itself 10x in the course of 20,000rds. What do these Dillon's go for?? If I have a .45ACP Dillon, can I reload other calibers? (.38, .22LR, .25, 9mm to name a few of my other pistols)? Thanks!!
  9. ABSOLUTELY CORRECT, GEEZER!!
  10. I've yet to purchase a reloader, and am still searching for cheap bulk .45 ACP ammo for my Ruger P90. Cabelas has the cheapest Wolf ammo I've found (yet to find any substantially better deals on cheaperthandirt, etc.). Wal-Mart gets me for about $20/100 for Winchester... How does this Wolf stuff shoot?? Anygood??

  12. HAHA, Carmoney, I have seen that hat, I believe I've got one in hunter-orange over the bar. GLAD TO DISCOVER I'VE GOT SOME FELLOW UPLANDERS ON HERE!! (I live in FL and have never even shot at a duck)
  13. I acknowledge the Valentine as the premier detector, but let me vouch for Beltronics. I've been nothing but impressed with my Bel980 for 2yrs. I had another Bel before that, but I left it in the dash of a Black/Black car in longterm parking, and the heat got to it. Features I love the most about the Bel is that they are LOUD (a must), sleek design, great range, and for $270, you cannot get much better. When personally compared with the Valentine, the only advantage is that the V1 tells you where the bogie is at in relation to you. I spend most of my speeding-time on the highway, and if my detector beeps, they must be ahead of me somewhere... As far as range, my buddy and I both hit the brakes at the same time, I had the Bel, he had the V1... It has paid for itself countless times.
