  1. I have tried several other brands and came back to Dillon Dies. I have been loading un-coated lead bullets lately and like being able to clean my seating die quickly.
  2. I don't notice much of a difference in my Edge between 180gr and 200gr, but in my Glocks I have really started to like the 200gr. I have found lower recoil and great accuracy.
  3. He produces a great trigger, but unanswered e-mails are always frustrating. That being said, I would still buy another without hesitation.
  4. DK trigger, Dawson sights and grip tape help me get the most out of my 34.
  5. I was looking at the new P21 mags from Magpul and saw several reviews of them not working with the AR platform. The same reviews stated that they worked fine in a Glock just not in the rifle. Anyone have any experience with them?
  6. The rep that I spoke with said the assembly will have their "Apex Barrel" custom fit to the slide. All you will have to do is remove your old top end and slide the new Apex assembly on. The way I understood, it will only be available as a complete top end and not just the slide.
  7. Got to put my hands on the Apex Tactical Long Slide at Brownell's Open House on Saturday. Will be interesting to see range test results.
  8. I had used HP-38 for all of my uncoated lead and it has always produced an accurate and clean round. I haven't been using it as much since it had been difficult to find in my area. I switched over to a coated Bullet and Tight Group, but am looking at going back since it has become available again.
  9. Installed my first DK trigger in my son's 34 last night. Reduced all of the creep and over-travel without any adjustment needed. Breaks clean at about 2 1/2 pounds. Now, I have to order another for my 35.
  10. Dawson's are on my USPSA gun for competition, buy my carry gun has Heines' Straight Eight sights.
  11. Per Hornady- using their 180gr. Bullet 5.1gr.= 850 fps 5.6gr.= 900 fps 6.1gr.= 950 fps 6.6gr.= 1000fps 7.1gr.= 1050fps MAX LOAD I haven't used Power Pistol for a couple of years but my last load that I worked up was a 180 Berry's with 5.8 gr. @ 1.135 OAL. Was accurate but was just under Major PF.
  12. Wilderness Tactical belt and a Stealth Gear IWB holster. When carrying a S&W Shield, I don't even know that it is there.
  13. Worked great for me in 9mm. In 40 it worked alright in major loads, but my SD was terrible when trying to load minor.
  14. EGW is tight, factory Federal ammo won't even seat fully in my gauge.
  15. Zeros are a top notch product and you may have to look at turning down your load or switching powders if you want to shoot a plated bullet. For my 1911's I have had the best results with a quality cast bullet.
  16. I don't think you can go wrong with the DAA Mag pouches. Make sure that you get Glock specific pouches or you will have to sand down the tension plates. I got mine from Shooters Connection.
  17. I'm seeing a lot of guys adapting the ELS plates to their own belts by drilling holes throught the belt.
  18. The Wilson was custom fit to my 22 Glock by Cylinder and Slide in Fremont,Ne. It shoots really good but with cost of barrel and fitting it was over $275.00. This was several years ago when Gen 3 had just started coming out. My Glock 35 that I now shoot in production has a simple drop-in KKM and I am very happy with it.
  19. I have had all of them, with the exception of the Bar-sto. A lot of your accuracy improvements that I have found are when using the cheaper plated bullets. If you use a quality bullet you won't be super impressed with the results you get. The biggest thing that I noticed when shooting the different barrels was the amount of lead build up and difficulty cleaning the gun. The Jarvis and Wilson are the easiest to clean and the most accurate that I have have found. But, my most accurate Glock is a 21 with its factory barrel, shooting a hard cast bullet. All that being said, I don't think that you can place a new barrel in a Glock and expect to get 2" groups at 50 yards.
  20. In over 30 years of reloading I have never had a live primer detonate when de-priming. I guess it's possible, but for some reason I have never had it happen.
  21. I think that it can be done, but for the cost and the questionable reliability, another top end would be you best bet.
  22. I like the Marauder, but I think that DVC has a lot more features and will have a higher retail value 2 years down the road. I would get the DVC.
  23. I find myself ignoring the back site when it is plain black. It seems to place all of my focus on the front and has allowed me to pick up some speed.
  24. I'm unsure of the size, but I got some at my local Ace Hardware. The screws are what I had to get direct from ISMI.
