  1. high and low and speeds?
  2. Have you found any load Data for E3? Posted by alliant?
  3. That ship has sailed, the gun is built. Slide lightening will be in order I'm sure
  4. You would think a 4" commander slide weighs more than a 6" slide? Can you elaborate?
  5. Decided to go with a trubor barrel. It gives me the velocity and runs on a commander slide. Here's a pic.
  6. Haha true, and I guess a 220gr vs a 200 grain bullet will smack down those poppers that haven't been calibrated in a while.
  7. not only are you losing mag capacity, but I'm sure your wallet is going to feel the pain as well
  8. +50 on the trigger bow rubbing the magazine. if you're competent (no insult meant) disassemble your lower and try to drop your trigger bow over your magazine, it should fall all the way down with minimal rub and no hang up, if it does hang up, you need to spread it out but not so much that it rubs the inside of the lower. it'll take some time a tweaking. or take it to a local gunsmith.
  9. I highly recommend buying an extended firing pin. I was instructed when I bought my first 2011 to make that purchase right away, these are guys who load small rifle primers in their pistol rounds so i kinda trust them. plus they have been at it for about 15 years longer than me.
  10. I love it, throw parts in the cleaner (removing plastics and knowing i will have to replace FO front sight) and load ammo while the little noise box does the hard work. frees up time and gets places an AP brush just can't quite reach.
  11. Yes, 1911 single stack minor can have 10 rounds in the magazine and they can be used for limited 10 as well, the only change will be placement of the holster, magazine pouches, and holster limitations. You can also shoot a 1911 9mm in open if that floats your boat
  12. i put in a glock extra power striker spring in my M&P 9 pro and it works great
  13. my suggestion on this is to actually go with a wolf extra power striker spring, i did not see any increase in trigger pull weight and now i set off all primers with no issues
  14. I had an issue with this, not with every round but on the second to last round in the magazine, I'm sure you can purchase, but i modified my slide catch and removed the interior tab that is lifted my the magazine follower. problem solved and i still have a slide catch if i need it
  15. because of the design of the tension bar that resets the mag release, its impossible to have an Ambi one, just buy another gun can never have too many
  16. titegroup, 3.1 grains pushing a 135 poly bullet from BBI works fantastic out of my gun
  17. in my humble opinion, unless you're going to get a threaded barrel just keep the stock barrel. they are accurate and will shoot block bulged brass with no problem, when I got a storm lake barrel i had to reduce my OAL to 1.115 to get reliable feeding.
  18. It's close, the same idea for non moving front sight, but I'm only seeing it in a 5" option. The longer radius has helped out a lot at Horner matches. And that's more reciprocating mass from the slide. I don't want to sound like I'm discounting any advice. If my counterpoint has flaws, let me know them. Also the STI Apeiro comes at a price tag of about $500 more than the tac build would be. But I will look at some of those. Thanks for the guidance
  19. I'm hoping someone else has tried this or seen in attempted and can guide me so I don't waste money or go down some painful rabbit holes
  20. i haven't had any issues swapping mine around.
  21. I could not get the RAM to work, contacted apex and they said it must be something I'm doing wrong, I'm a M&P armorer with years of experience working on this gun. it just wouldn't work
  22. My M&P .40 is what took me to B class, i loved it till i found a good deal on a 2011, the the M&P is still ready as a backup.
  23. The novak from brownness is pretty solid, mine works great
  24. Ok Enos family, I am preparing to do a gun "build" that in my mind would work well for sports from USPSA to 3-gun. The Idea: A STI Tactical 9mm 4" with threaded barrel, attack a 2" comp blank on the end of the barrel and have it dovetail cut to accept a front sight, possibly have the slide lightened but that will be up some experience to decide. The reasoning: A 4" slide will cycle fast and have less reciprocating mass than a 6" slide, With the 2" extension i am able to have a 6" gun's sight radius, the little extra weight might help with reducing muzzle rise, and the front sight won't be moving with should help with follow on shots. I have had a similar thing done to my M&P pro 9mm and I love it, a steel frame gun should be just that much better. Thoughts, input, ideas, places I can get a 2" full profile hybrid comp (since the STI Tac is a bull barrel)?
  25. if youre hitting the first target with the first shot but missing the rest I would say you have the yipps. youve missed them before and now you expect to miss them every time. Treat every target as an individual target and not as part of an array, take your time, BREATH, sight allignment and sight picture, slow steady squeeze. RING THAT STEEL!! haha good luck
