  1. What do you normally do with the box your gun comes in? Would have have preferred a different sheen on the box?
  2. It doesn't pinch my thumb, but the original one did. YM(apparently)MV.
  3. I've not been able to unload the Versa Max out of the loading port (bottom) using the competition-style carrier.
  4. If you found a Lancer smoke AR mag and/or a Glock 9mm mag with extension at this match, please let me know. They were most likely left together. Or bring them to Rockcastle tomorrow if you're shooting. I'll be there. Thanks!
  5. My feed latch catches on the smaller diameter of the follower under normal operation. If I push the latch button with the bolt closed, the follower will pop down and rest on the feed latch on its larger diameter. The carrier will lightly scrape the follower then.
  6. Yeah, I'm using it in the VX6 Multigun. It makes me sad. That's about it.
  7. I have a Nordic follower in my SX2, but I've never experienced this issue. I may have a tiny bit of material taken off the front of my carrier fork though.
  8. You may want to see if you can get a Sportsman stock and FE if you want stippling instead of the overmold grips. Pike did the stippling and frame work on my Glock. As mentioned before, his work is top notch.
  9. Should be F409144, but I'm betting that they will use all they have to build guns for a while before they are available to purchase separately.
  10. It's on the calendar! Time to get the dust off my equipment.
  11. I'm a chronic breath holder though I'm working on fixing that. At Robbie Johnson's clinic at the Pro-Am, we talked about this subject. He recommended taking short breaths between long-range targets. I tend to try to run the string in one breath, no matter how many dozen targets there may be.
  12. Mine (in my avatar) weighs right at 8lbs without the mag. 16" M4 contour barrel AP Carbon Fiber HG SKEL mount Leupold multigun optic ACS stock
  13. I said "yes" before opening the thread, but after reading your OP, I'm sticking with yes.
  14. I just scrolled through about 20 pages reading this awesome thread. I spent the early part of my professional life as a process engineer writing code for high-volume machining processes. There's some impressive stuff going on here!
  15. I used a file to make mine fit like this ^ then used the provided punch to help it the rest of the way.
  16. A recent build and my first venture into long-range shooting. I've yet to shoot it, but it will be a learning experience. 700 SPS Tac .308 barreled action B&C stock SWFA SS 10x42 MRAD scope 20MOA base Harris bipod
  17. I kept expecting to see Dennis Anderson pop up in that video.
  18. They are about as dangerous as a Serpa holster. Practice with it, keep your finger straight, and you'll be fine. I see the bolt failing to lock back as a non-issue. If I shoot my rifle dry, shame on me. I find it to be a very handy component.

    No Choke?

Skeet is a completely different animal. You know exactly where station 8 is going, and chances are, you've shot it a time or two before. While I don't do it, I've seen people shoot with no choke (braless is the term they used, I believe). For the occasional target, I don't see why not.
  20. I agree with many here. The gun will serve you fine as would 1 oz loads. You'll only be challenged beyond that of an auto on 4 targets. A lot of skeet is where you stage your gun and eyes before you call for the bird. You want to position your barrel toward where you think you won't get behind the bird as it comes out of the house (this will come with experience). Then, you want to look away from the rib (another tricky part), and look for the bird out of the house. By the time the bird and your eyes get to the rib, your gun should be moving. Good luck!
