  1. No, 1st Saturday (starts in April this year) The schedule is at http://www.pcsirange.com/
  2. He understands everything <sigh> ...
  3. No, you can't use a gun that isn't on the official Production list, SAO or whatever. You can paint "Official Production Gun" on it and bring a note from your mother, but it's still not legal.
  4. I have two RTS2 V4s, for a year and a half or more, that have performed without problems. V4 seems to have fixed the earlier problems.
  5. And we all thought that was just a metaphor ...
  6. No, really. And Titegroup will melt your barrel. Yada yada...
  7. So what's a "nazi"? Somebody who applies the rules, fairly and equally for everyone? And is a "nice guy" someone who applies rules selectively, or only the ones he likes? How's that right?
  8. I would see this as anecdotal evidence that those matches are specifying a start position for the feet or hands and allowing the shooters to select the rest of their stance. Because it's a practice at some matches doesn't make it a rule.
  9. Newbie disorder, I'm afraid. He's referencing this: http://forums.brianenos.com/topic/257240-chriss-world-shoot-blog/?tab=comments#comment-2868024 Frankly, the really good shooters in USPSA are actually pretty modest about their accomplishments. The GM in question got his card legitimately, has been in the Top 20 a number of times, and has paid his dues. Seems like a decent guy, too. He deserves to be treated better, whatever level he's shooting these days. BTW, this GM was in the top 8% of 230 at Iron Sights Nats last year and grouped with the other GMs. If he still shoots at that level (say, 80% of #1), a 74% performance in the recent local match against him was actually about 59%. Not bad, but lots of work to do.
  10. Welcome to USPSA, Obi Wan MemphisMechanic was only kidding, of course. Looks like you tried to slide a brag in your post there, but it wasn't in context. It seems you shot in Revolver, but you weren't lactually bumped to Open, so what's the point? You did okay, finished 5th in a small match with 3 stages and 15 entries. So you were above a B Open shooter, but he apparently had problems on one stage. Happens to all of us. Keep practicing, and maybe you'll meet your goal of making GM by the end of 2018.
  11. You can't ask others to make your decision for you. You have to try it yourself, in your own gun, and see how it works for you. I think everyone has pretty much said what they need to say, so it's time to go out there and experiment.
  12. 9 major is basically a wildcat cartridge. The load data come from the experienced users, plus your own careful load workup in your particular gun.
  13. And whatever comes back still won't be the "law" you want, until it's published in the WSB.
  14. Just for the record, I've seen this rule enforced quite a bit. Doesn't take a degree in rocket science, y'know.
  15. Yes, that's what I was referring to. This classifier has been discussed for years with descriptions of how folks have run it.
  16. Yes ... in my gun. For yours, you'll have to experiment. Perhaps you can get some from a friend to experiment with.
  17. Except for bragging rights, as in "I beat a bunch of Open shooters with my Single Stack 9mm minor"
  18. Yes. From the discussion of this classifier on BE folks seem to be honoring the "T1-T2 from the left, reload, and T3-T4 from the right" mandate and engaging the additional targets from either side, just like the WSB says.
  19. Is Adam a gunsmith/gun builder? I thought he was the business guy.
  20. Max isn't "destroying" bunches of Open shooters. He's winning CO pretty steadily, and that's because he's one of the best shooters we have and crosstrains with passion. Don't forget, we shoot against our own division.
  21. , Well, yeah - CO has the advantage of a red dot sight. It's still not apples to apples. Add the major vs minor issue, and they're even more different divisions.that'swhy. That's why the divisions are scored separately. Give them both the same equipment and see where they end up. That's how the sport works.
