  1. If you're using 80% of your grip strength, you need more grip strength
  2. A mill or a drill press with a milling vise is really the best way to do it if you can get access to one.
  3. I have a set of small files I inherited from my grandpa so I can't help there. Do you have a Dremel? You could use the cutting wheel if you have a steady hand. Actually a fine tooth blade on a hacksaw would be safer than the Dremel wheel.
  4. If you want to take all the material from the frame I suggest you use an SP01, the short dust cover frame will get very thin at the ball cuts.
  5. The bottom of the slide, call it the recoil spring tunnel, is wider on the TS, so it needs to be narrowed, the frame opened up, or a combination of the two.
  6. Your 9x21 is most likely a small frame so the mags aren't long enough front to back to take 38 super.
  7. Federal primers would also be a big help
  8. That's good intel Rick, thank you for sharing. Why didn't the CZ barrel fit, did you try taking off the tit above the chamber?
  9. I had to put a bead of weld on a sidewinder, then grind it to fit my CZ dovetail.
  10. The only way to learn is to try it! Put on a holster and shoot a match, with no mikes, no shoots or malfunctions you'll probably make it into the top half your first time
  11. You can get a large frame Tanfoglio in 38 super
  12. No, the CZ 75 is a small frame pistol, meaning it's built around the 9x19 round and can be adapted for small frame calibers like 9, 40, 357sig. Large framed pistols like the 1911 are designed around the 45acp so they're readily adaptable to 38super and 10mm or small frame calibers using mags with spacers or loaded long.

    CZ Open

I haven't tried it yet, but everything I've played with so far indicates you can use a CZ 6" barrel if you cut the tit off the breech face. I too have a TriStar which is destine for Open
  14. Everything I've seen indicates the slide stops break upon return to battery.
  15. Wouldn't you be more likely to break slides with too light a recoil spring?
  16. It's always the 124 guys who say "the gun really flattens out at 175-180 PF", but if you take that same charge under a 115 it makes 168-170...
  17. If you're thinking of this as a zero sum, my time, her time situation do yourself a favor and walk before it's too late.
  18. Three questions: 1. What do you and your fiance like to do together? 2. What does she do on her own? 3. Do you plan to have kids?
