    CZ Open

If you don't already own the Shadow, save some money, buy the base SP01 and remove the firing pin block.
  2. I have no interest in printed publications, I don't like the clutter.

If you want a short reach, the stock SP01 trigger is the best choice, if you want a longer reach, the "old style 85B" or 97B is what you want.
  4. Do you think they meant something else other than 357 sig? I don't know what they meant, what they wrote was 9 major; I guess it make sense they may have meant 357SIG but wrote 9 Major if in fact 3% of the people shooting L10 are shooting 357SIG which I don't know. It's doesn't mean too much to me since I don't shoot Limited nor subscribe to the magazine so I guess I should stop talking
  5. I'm aware 357SIG is legal for major in Limited and that 357SIG uses the same bullet as 9mm, but 357SIG loaded major is not the same as 9 major so what does 357SIG have to do with this page out of Front Sight?
  6. There is no 9 Major in L10, it's just 9mm and it's scored minor; it appears to be a mistake, along with a few others I saw with just a quick look.

or take the lifter out, put in a spacer and get a T3 disco That all well and good although not Production legal.
  8. I fill a case with 9.4gr of SP2 then cram a 115 on top, welcome to the dark side
  9. Almost forgot to mention the long slide release and slide mounted decocker safety:
  10. Jericho 941, AKA Baby Eagle. Many common internals with the Stock II and the shortest DA reach if all the CZ75 pattern pistols. Heavy steel frame makes for a really soft shooter.

  12. So does anyone have experience with an autodrive 650?
  13. Levi, I prefer a horizontal CMore mount like this one: In my experience it makes finding the dot significantly easier. Loading 9 Major is no problem. As far as the Czechmate goes, it's pretty heavy when compared to a Ti comped 2011: I'm a big fan of CZs as well, but I prefer my Open guns on the lighter side. For comparison the light 2011 above weighs about the same as a TS. If the weight won't be an issue, you'll probably be happy with the CM, but if you're going to wind up customizing your CM to make it lighter, you'd come out a few thousand ahead starting with a TS. With regards to Open being a more competitive division: that all depends on your area and who's shooting it; Eric Grauffel dominates whichever division he shoots. Are you going to like Open more than Limited? Probably, I do But if you're getting burned out there might be something more going on which a shiny new toy won't fix for you.
  14. Just got some fresh chrome on my Y7!
  15. Technically the TS/Czechmate is also small framed, but yes, they have beefier frames. I have been pushing CZ and Tanfoglio Open guns pretty hard for the past three years and haven't had any failures.
  16. What does it look like when a comp "dies"?
  17. I only chronoed Silhouette once and my highest charge was 7.8 under a 115 at 1.170" which made only 160PF with my 5.4" 2011 with two 3/16" holes (that barrel is a little slow though).
  18. The Henning mag well is the best available for Tanfoglios, you won't be disappointed. A few questions: Is your Stock II a 40 or 9mm? Will you be converting it to SAO? Do you plan to switch back and forth?
  19. You've got the recipe for what I would argue is the best possible Open load, find a good OAL for your barrel and load it! The charge weight is up to you, the higher you go, the higher the PF and there's nothing stopping you from making major with that combo. If your OAL is on the short side you might make major before you hit 9gr. 7gr will probably land you in the 140pf range, so pick a charge and get started!
  20. You don't need an entire top end, with the Limited you could just have a second barrel with a cone comp and just switch barrels. If you use a 38 barrel in a 9mm slide it will shoot 38SC brass only. This pistol started as a Limited: After cuts and ports:
  21. The tolerances at the safety/sear interface are tiny, combinations of tiny variations in the safety, hammer and sear make the difference.
  22. The pins are harder and less prone to breakage, plus when loading long the ogive of an odd round can activate the slide stop mid mag.
