  1. Mo, is that the new two piece sear? I get 5.5# DA and 2.5# SA with the one piece sear.
  2. 6 grains of HS6 should give you what you want. I would use a plastic guide rod or a recoil buffer to avoid tearing up you pistol.
  3. I have a bunch of small frames and just got my first large frames (Hunter/Gold Team/Match) I want to play with. I have all the K series mags and some old style 40 and 10mm mags I want to experiment with. I'll be sure to post my findings here.
  4. I believe the CZC SRT disconnector can be fit to a Tanfoglio, I have both and the only difference I can see is the size of the hinge hole 2.25mm on the CZ vs 2.75mm on the Tanfo). I haven't gotten around to trying it yet, but I'll be sure to post my success everywhere when I do (no one will ever hear about my failure...).
  5. I wouldn't go much higher than 150pf without a comp, I've shot 180pf out of my CZ Open gun but a compensator counters some of the force on the barrel linkages.
  6. Pull 'em yourself or find a safe disposal service (the local PD would be a good place to ask). I would not shoot them, nor give them to someone else with the understanding they're not going to shoot them; the last thing you need is for them to get bored pulling them and start shooting them.
  7. You received a long slide without a removable front sight?!? Did it have the wide cocking serrations? Or the old narrow ones?
  8. The K10s are not as rigid as the old style 10mm tubes, Cha-lee wrote a great thread about his findings: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=76873&hl=gizmo
  9. I've shot 9mm in a .40 slide with no problems, the reverse is .41AE.
  10. This is a great discussion Nik, I don't shoot Revo, but I've read all these division change threads. Both the options you give seem equally appealing but personally, division wide minor would be the only one which would increase my odds of shooting a wheel gun in a USPSA match. When I started shooting USPSA I owned three revolvers and half a dozen autos, I thought long and hard about cutting one of them for moon clips, but I knew if I enjoyed shooting Revolver I would be buying a 625. Then when I looked at what it would cost to get a 625 and rig, I just decided to stick with autos for USPSA. I don't know what all that rambling tells you, but with 6 minor, I might try revolver with one of the revolvers I already own, but with 6 major / 8 minor I will most likely never shoot Revo.
  11. That's good info Mark, maybe I'm assuming local MDs take consistent setup of classifiers more seriously than they really do. If that's true, how meaningful are classifications earned at local matches? Isn't that a more significant issue than the HHF. If the HHF is too important to be entrusted to the local MD, then why not make it the HHF shot at a level two or above? Three or above? At least then you have a simple, objective and transparent method of determining the HHF.
  12. I was expecting that response, but if a USPSA Match Director can't be trusted to set up a classifier properly to post the highest score on a particular classifier, how can he be trusted to report any scores? isn't the score which advanced a shooter from B class to A class equally important? If you see shooting a classifier more than once as an advantage, I suggest you petition USPSA to make a rule against it; with no rule forbidding it, I don't see how it can preclude a shooter from shooting the highest hit factor. Even if there where a rule, what's to stop someone from setting it up on their own and practicing? Then it wouldn't necessarily be the "High Hit Factor" would it? "High Hit Factor by a GM at Nationals not trying to go as fast as he possibly can" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue does it? It seems as there are only two real options: the High Hit Factor is exactly that, the highest score shot in each division by any USPSA member at a sanctioned USPSA match, or the High Hit Factor is picked arbitrarily be the powers that be to produce the classifications they desire.
  13. I don't see a problem with that. If a B class shooter shoots the highest hit factor on this particular classifier his score for it should be 100%.
  14. I've got a load at 1.120": 7.6gn SP2 124CMJ's 170PF out of a 5.1" CZ barrel with no ports.

    Grip Screws

If you've got a hardware store which stocks 3.5mm metric screws you're in business.
  16. I can agree with this. Why can the High Hit Factor be exactly that? The highest score ever entered into the classifier system for each individual classifier? Then the HHF can be listed right there in the stage description along with the name of the shooter; it would be the like the Guinness Book...
  17. I would say yes, if your over travel is dialed in tight with one particular disco, it will need to be adjusted for the same effect on a different disco. The dimension between the edge of the hooks and the hinge pin will effect the release point.
  18. My first match with an Open pistol last weekend gave me two: -turn on the dot before the buzzer! -just because you have 46 rounds and the minimum round count is 33, don't leave your big stick in your bag (why is it with a Limited gun I shoot one shot at each piece of steel, but with an Open gun, I feel like I have to triple tap each one?!?)
  19. Also with regards to ammo, if you bring plenty of ammo, you can be a hero and lend some to the guy who runs out. Great way to win friends and influence people.

  21. I would keep a fired bullet in my pocket, then stick it in one of his targets before the score keeper gets to it; should be good for a laugh or two!
