  1. I scored 2lbs of LG to play with
  2. I think the TS owners who buy them to shoot USPSA Limited Major must be in the minority and that the majority of people looking for these guns would prefer them in 9mm.
  3. The trouble is that USPSA Production rule don't allow caliber conversions at the moment.
  4. The K10s are thinner and buldge too much to fit in the magwell when loaded past 16 or 17.
  5. Gump, do you have access to a mag gauge? I'd love to know how long this factory tube is. How much did it cost?
  6. +1 Ed, I need to put a face to your name next week
  7. In the first video you're much faster in the second box than the first, how were your hits in second array compared to the first?
  8. Hey Chris, yes. 115 Rainier JHP's. It's compressed, but not too bad. Brass and primers look really good, but the performance is great. I know guys do it, but it scares me a little. I have never used compressed loads. Thanks for the info. What gives you the impression that if the bullet is touching slower powder X there is more chamber pressure then if the bullet is not touching faster powder Y? Every 9 major load I've ever loaded has been compressed to one extent or another and what I've found is that the powders begin to yield lower velocities when you push them too far, but the primers don't look any flatter. In fact, I see much flatter primers from shooters loading 124s over powder like autocomp than I do loading 115s over SP2.
  9. For 9 Major, AC is pretty good, it's a little faster so it doesn't take as much to make major, but still puts out a good amount of gas. In a full sized gun without holes in the barrel ~6ish grains of AC under a 124 should be pretty soft. I use ~9gr of slower powder under a 115, it is significantly more violent and is easy to spill as it pretty much fills the case.
  10. I'd guess that's the most popular combination out there for 9 Major
  11. I've never used the EG hammer, but the EGW hammer provides a nice, crisp break.
  12. Thanks for the video Rob, that looks awesome! I dig the sparks So can you keep track of the dot? I have one gun/load my friend said is flat as a board, but the dot seems to explode then re appear right in the center of the glass
  13. I tried it, fell in love, a private seller posted some for sale here at a hefty price tag, while everyone else was busy calling him names I made a deal for everything he had (17lbs!). When all was said and done it was cheaper than VV
  14. I got luck and a friend picked some up for me from a private seller on a forum Vectan powder is no longer imported and I like my SP2 so much I figured I would give it a shot
  15. I'm an incessant tinkerer I have some SP3 inbound, if it will make major, I think it will take ~13gr
  16. Are you sure about that? Do you have a magnet?
  17. Very cool info, I think most of what has been written is based on supposition rather than hard data; I might just grab some to play with
  18. I thought about using it once, but the reviews here didn't look too good, but they were pretty old, maybe something has changed. What's you load/bullet? http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=39472 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24147 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=836 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=86329
  19. I try to get the booth all the way to the right so the wall stops my brass.
  20. I can't see the video. What do you mean by "what am I missing?" Are you asking why LG isn't more popular?
  21. Because there are no threaded barrels available for Tanfoglios, nor decent comps you can just buy, so custom machining is needed.
  22. Unfortunately I won't have a chance to chrono until January, so I won't be sure of my load until then.
