  1. Shhhhhhhh!!!! Do you want the whole world to know?!? They're hard enough to get as it is!
  2. It's bothers me to see so many seemingly like minded individuals throwing around pejoratives like "hoarder", "flipper" and the like; what's the difference between a "flipper" and the owner of your local gun store? both purchase inventory with the intent of reselling it at a profit don't they? why then is one the pillar of the community and the other the scum of the earth? Those who use laws and threats of force to manipulate markets are the enemies of consumers, not market actors engaging in voluntary commerce
  3. http://youtu.be/vUPCZ_imDeE?t=22s The G is silent
  4. You can bolt the Henning magwell on the Limited Pro, or even a factory Limited magwell. The 'competition frames' are all ready to accept a mag well, the way to recognize them is the strip of exposed metal below the grip.
  5. 9mm mags have control ribs to keep the double stack tighter, 40 mags don't; feel lip dimensions are also different.
  6. Just out of curiosity, why do you want the glass further forward?
  7. Yes, Rich's comp and six holes with HS7 is going to knock your socks off!
  8. The factory wood grips have no grip, nor contour, pretty much useless. Not to mention the frame itself is pretty wide, so the wood grips exacerbate the issue. I like the rubber SP01 grips
  9. Oh and Gord, with easily two dozen Tanfo pistols/slides in my safe, I'm not sure I'm willing to believe the high end guns are inherently tighter than the rest. There are slight variations in fit, but for the most part they're all pretty good. I have a $500 match which is just as tight/accurate as my Limited.
  10. I haven't fit a CZ disco to a Tanfoglio, but CPA 5-0 did it (I don't think that's the way he spells it so you'll have to look around).
  11. Agreed, 7.2gr makes 166pf in my CZ with a 115gr RN at 1.165"
  12. Some frame/slides combinations are tighter/looser than others. You're in luck, ~10 miles from you is quite possibly the largest Tanfoglio pistols collection in CA
  13. Caliber conversions are not currently legal, it's stupid and no one would ever know unless they ran the serial number in EAA's computer, so it's up to you
  14. I came home tonight and a local forum member had left a pound of Silhouette on my doorstep That rounds out my collection of Open powders pretty nicely: Silhouette CFE Pistol Autocomp HS-6 3N38 SP2 Long Shot N105 'Lil Gun SP3 Now if I could just get my hands on some AA5/7/9 or True Blue...
  15. Y7, I like that I haven't crono'ed any rounds through this gun yet, so I'm just guessing at this point, but Ten grains under a 115 sounds about right, maybe nine under a 124.
  16. That's fantastic! I can't wait to see it
  17. Nice work Steve, instant Limited gun If you get tired of the little sights the Henning fixed rear is pretty great
  18. With the holiday season approaching I won't be shooting much until January, which also means I won't get a chance to chrono for the next few months so there's no use in load development and gun comparisons. With that I mind I plan to set the 38s aside and focus on my 9mm Open gun projects; I have a few very exciting ideas for CZ 75 SA based guns I look forward to moving forward with
  19. No, you're good, keep cross training with all of them :-) I bounced around guns and divisions way too much. It was fun but not all that productive! After last night's match with kneelingatlas, I think I know which one it should be! I will be making the jump next update. Its amazing what happens when you shoot the same gun for 2 months! We'll see how the scores shake out, but I think I shot at least 10% higher with Mike's Limited gun than I did with my Open gun For any of you interested in Mikes Ti Tracker project, it is really awesome! It's light yet shoots extremely soft http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=198921&p=2208172
  20. Yes, they're hard to get in 9mm, the importer is terrible and there are few parts suppliers/tuners.
  21. Just work up the load, for instance, load ten rounds with 2.5gr of powder, ten with 2.7, 2.9, etc to past where you think you need to be to make minor then shoot them over a chrono collecting the brass and looking at the primers. If the primers are starting to flatten stop and pull the rest of the ammo, if you make your desired power factor stop and pull the rest, if velocity starts to go down, stop and pull the rest. You get the idea.
