  1. Another reason not to coach is a poor description of the target location by the RO, which in turn can make matters worse causeing greater confusion for the shooter and can be used as a argument for a reshoot.
  2. Nordic shows the length of their tubes in inches as well as how many rounds extra rounds. the M2 has a 3 round capacity . A +5 tube will be flush with the barrel. You can always buy a longer tube and spring to swap out if you want to increase the capacity.
  3. The arredondo is designed to press fit firmly over the bolt release button. If the hole is not drilled and tapped concentric it can cause the bar to tilt slightly when tightened down and make contact with the receiver causing malfunctions. I have used the arredondo bolt extension with blue loc-tite for over 7 years without any problems great product ,great sponsor!
  4. Not a hi-tech solution but A piece of target tape wrapped around the chute to create a fence raising the height of the chute walls Works great lasts a long time and costs nothing .
  5. How much longer is the SS tube than the Nordic XXL?
  6. What ever you chose make sure it is vented ! those 308's generate plenty of heat.
  7. Being its a tactical build I would go with a rugged and versatile handgard that you can mount what ever you need. Where ever you need it. JP has two handgards that meet your needs.
  8. Here is another thing to check, I had this problem too and found out the socket head screw that Holds the ramp/cam was too long , when I tightened the screw it would cause the slide to bind and Stop before the case was seated . Try adding another flat washer to the screw.
  9. What video is this? Bennie Cooley has a rifle video on his web site. Check it out looks like some great instruction from a very talented shooter/instructor.
  10. I upload 3GN scores for my club, so here's some what could be the reason for your scores not showing. Check with the match director to make sure your scores were uploaded give him your 3GN membership # to verify its correct that would be the easy thing to do. It could be something as a simple as a inputing mistake, or poor handwriting at registration.
  11. I have the Brownells,Safariland,Voodoo tac,and US peacekeeper for several years. they are all good no problems with any of them, they all hold up well. But if I had to pick one, it would be the Brownells case, it is the best constructed of all from the zippers ,stitching, sun fade resistance, bag size, storage ,protection, not to heavy ,high denier material all make this bag my favorite and it fits nicely in my pelican case for airline travel.
  12. Ask your local smith before letting them turn your barrel to explane the process as there are right ways and wrong ways of Doing the machine work that can effect the accuracy.
  13. Nice work, does it fold down flat ?
  14. Welcome to the forums ! what club do you mainly shoot at ?
  15. Really what makes it work so well is the surface area. It's like running 50 patches thru the bore at one time. Plus, it has round copper brush of the specific caliber imbedded into the weave toward the top to loosen powder residue from the rifling before the webbing cleans it out. They work. Don't use it for copper removal and still I still use old style patches to presoak but a great addition to any range bag. So how often do you need to clean it ? or how many times do you run it thru your barrel ?
  16. A poll for your favorite match would be a great way to get the numbers . then you could list your reasons why you chose it , just a thought.
  17. I always wonder why people use bore snakes. It is the same as running the same dirty patch thru your bore over and over again.
  18. I have two 650's and a 1050 , The 650 does everything a 1050 does except swage the primer pockets. the rds per hour are so close between the two. The only reason I bought a 1050 was to swage rifle primer pockets quickly. when a primer gets crushed on the 1050 it can take several minutes to fix the jam never happens on the 650's. so any increase in production is easily lost in malfunction clearing. the lifetime warranty and cost for change over kits are alot cheaper.
  19. I just did the same too .. its really nice to have the match schedule, stages, rules as an RO or a competitor . It shows the level of time and detail put in to make this match something great !
  20. This match by far was the most balanced and well run match I have been to after 40 + majors in 10 years. The even round count for all 3 guns , and using all of them on each stage and 8 of them with targets ranging out to 350yds! Technical but not to hard to remember ,oh and no prop guns too. I can't believe scoring was the fastest ever (thank you Ken "mr.practiscore" Nelson ) ,RO's were fair and consistent, prize table was fabulous! and the BBQ dinner was tasty. Doug and Scotty don't change a thing ,including your sence of humor! Other MD's you had better take notes this is the standard for which all matches are to be judged.
  21. I placed a order last week for bullets in stock with a certificate, but the coupon code said not valid, so I just faxed the certificate to them and they deducted the amount off of my order. easy!
  22. the smoke is not bad at all, do some side by side testing to see if you notice a difference I don't think is an issue.
  23. sounds like a issue with the primer pockets if it was a swager issue the pockets would be the same size for all. The only brass I have had issue with the primers not seating tightly has been federal .308 (american eagle) If you still have a XL650 I would use it instead , that way you can feel the lack of pressure needed to seat the primer and remove the case from the press thats what works for me.
