  1. With 20rd mags you will need 2 pouches 3-gun gear mag pouches I have used these for years, great product .
  2. Jesse Good idea to ask, as this division has the most rule changes from match to match. As per the FB3G rules: 3.1 Handgun ammunition shall be 9mm Parabellum (9x19mmNATO) or larger, unless otherwise stipulated under equipment division rules. ( No minimum listed under Heavy Tac ) just heavy metal irons division .44 cal From a Heavy Tactical competitors point of view I think these rules should be the standard for this division at all matches.
  3. You are right about the cost, but if you are not in a hurry you can find them used in the $500-$600 range. I have used this scope for many years and have not had a single problem with it, works great out to about 350yds. I think if you are going to spend under $500 look towards the burris line.
  4. Bryan welcome to the forum ! hope to see you at the tri cities multi gun next month. Craig
  5. I use the carbon arms long tube , great product fits on the JP barrel nut.
  6. disapearing targets like drop turners are a penalty target and to award a bonus target value like -20 secs use a (-2) in the "unhit" penalty box , it will show up as -20 in the final time.
  7. Then you end up with what we had before. People spraying the last rounds out of the gun and everyone hoping they stayed somewhere in the berms. Glad those days are over....
  8. for the price difference of only a few dollars stay with the p-mag they have proven to be very reliable for me. I have not read of any issues like the .223 p-mags seem to have.
  9. My first time impression after shooting these targets at the Texas MG championship was that they are a slightly more difficult target due to the smaller size and you can't see the scoring perfs up close . I still prefer the metric target ....
  10. It might help if you can show pics of the ejector (the length and any angles of the tip) How tightly is the brass held by the extractor?
  11. Read the article on JP rifles web site about reccomended velocitys for the .308 gas gun. The bolt guns can run hotter loads than the gas guns , so don't try to use the same load data when making your decision.
  12. The pictures don't do justice to being there in person.. That is smoking fast for a full bodied car shooting doesn't give you the same rush as being behind the wheel of a beast like this
  13. Jesse - what is the length and diameter? it looks to be a light weight design.
  14. Looks to be a simple easy to shoot target , as you aim for the center, not the upper half of the usual targets we normaly shoot at, where it can be difficult for newer shooters to find the "money zone" no guessing involved... Iam not sure why people seem to think that shooting guns in competitions has to be about combat type shooting only ?
  15. Welcome to the forum , hope to see you at Tri county some time. Craig S.
  16. I would start with a medium contour 20" barrel, because you can always make it shorter. or you can build a 2nd upper thats what I did . I have a 18" heavy contour and a 22" medium contour both weigh the same but the balance is different.
  17. The USPSA time plus program is used for several monthly matches in my area it works well no problems.
  18. On my 650 I use target tape around the outside edge of the ski jump to fence in the primers it lasts a long time and holds a lot of primers, to empty I just place my hand or cup under the ramp and pull back the tape and scrape out the primers restick the tape. simple and cheap but I really like the container idea better.
  19. doesn't that dent the barrel? why not use a hydraulic press and a dial indicator?
  20. I kind of question why Salient would go to this level and price when the main reason people like these shotguns has to be the price point that you can buy them for.
  21. Salient does great work and makes great guns. Mossberg's JM model shows a retail of $715. Can the Salient be that much better? I had thought the same thing until I got my hands on one of their M2's , there is alot more work done to their shotguns that you don't see until you disasemble and compare to a stock gun , not much goes untouched and the fit and finish is very nice with great attension to detail is what seperates a truly "smithed" gun from a home built bolt-on shotgun.
  22. The illumination is barely visible in the daylight.
