  1. +1 on JP. Using it with a Qtr circle 10 Glock lower. Swallows everything.
  2. Does anybody know if there are any aftermarket base pads available for colt style smg mags for my PCC?
  3. Thanks, Richard. I shot the PCC anything match on the 4th with my AR-9 and it was a Hoot! Looking forward to the 30th. It's about as much fun as you can have with your clothes on. Randy
  4. How about a powder hopper for a 1050 equipped with a drain so you don't have to remove it from the head to empty it.
  5. Isn't that what laudromats are for???? That and shop rags +1

  7. I spray the lube onto a cookie tray than dump the cases in and roll them around. After loading I tumble them about twenty minutes to clean off any residue. The lube makes loading a lot smoother and helps reduce wear on your press.
  8. Thanks for the reply. I have some Extreme135gr HP I am going to try. Not many people shooting minor in 38 super.
  9. I have a 5" non comp top end for my 38 super STI open gun to use in limited minor or 3 gun. I am looking for load data using 135 or 147 grain coated or plated bullets. I have n320, titegroup, wst. any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Randy

  11. Thanks, I'll give CZC a call.
  12. I tried to throat my P-09 barrel only to ruin my reamer because the barrel is so hard. Anybody tried this? Is there special reamer available, maybe carbide?

    P09 sights in a P07?

I have the later P-07 with metal sights and have swapped them with my P-09. I would think they will work. I doubt the dovetails are different.
  14. I would try dominant eye Rx as far in front of the sight as you can get and still get an acceptable sight picture. This will help with the transition to far targets. Also consider contacts. This way the lens follows your eye movement, and you can wear normal shooting glasses so you don't have to have a couple pair of prescription glasses for indoor/low or outdoor/bright light.
  15. I am not sure coated bullets will stand up to the velocity needed for major. Also if your barrel has any popple holes in it they will tear up coated bullets.
  16. This may be normal with the M&P 45. I have shot nothing but factory 230 grain FMJ ammo in mine and the front sight fogs almost instantly. I even removed the slide to see if there was a hole under the sight. But no. Maybe switching to jacketed hollow points or fully plated bullets might help?
  17. You might also add a +10% extra power extractor spring sold by speed shooter specialties while you have it apart.
  18. I tried shooting limited with glasses (dominant eye Rx focused on front sight). Also tried contacts with same setup. If you can do contacts that is the way to go. I would recommend having your dominant eye Rx adjusted to the farthest distance you can still see the front sight acceptably. I was having trouble with my brain switching to my non dominant eye at times on long shots due to the extreme blurriness of the background. Maybe more practice would have helped, but I gave up and went back to open with an 8min dot.
  19. SV made a small number of these when the 2011 was first introduced. I believe at the request of Lisa Munson. It is a reverse blueprint batch. I have been using one for a long time. I have swapped it for the standard grip on several S_I frames. Been around a long time and still working great.
  20. I had horrible fouling in my M&P 9. Tried several different coated bullets, finally gave up and went back to jacketed. I think it might be the melonite treatment in the bore is not as smooth as others?
  21. It will be interesting to see if it helps yours as much as it did mine. Keep us posted with results.
  22. Its in the M&P CORE performance accessories section. I had to sand (thin) it just a little so it would not bind. Also had to remove metal from the pad on the inside of it to get it to pivot in more so it would get a good grip on the case and hold it securely.
  23. I was having the same issue with my 9mm CORE. I tried adjusting the ejector every way possible, different springs and an Apex FRE. Hotter loads seemed to help but I still was getting very erratic ejection. I finally tried a SSS extractor and problem solved. Their extractor required some fitting but the big difference at least with my gun was the extractor hook. It is about .005" farther away from the breachface than the stock or Apex extractors and allows the cases to rock upward a little more as the ejector pushes on the back of the case. This gives just enough more lift so the cases don't hit the bottom of the ejection port on the way out. Hope this helps.
  24. Ken, I saw on one of your other posts that you had a Vortex Razor on one of your COREs. How do the two scopes compare? Which do you prefer?
