  1. Just got mine. Shot it today. This is a great addition. Fit and finish are perfect. Very nice product!
  2. Thanks for the tip. Just ordered one.
  3. Don't forget, you can reload 38SC more times than 9mm major. This helps offset the higher cost of the SC brass. But you have to pick it up off the ground to reload it.

    cops secret training

Some local LEO's were responsible for getting one range in the Seattle area shut down because they were not following the basic safety guidelines and several rounds left the range as a result.
  5. A simple solution is to provide a step or raised area to provide height challenged individuals the ability to see all targets. There will always be some advantage or disadvantage based on physical differences between individuals but this would have been easy to eliminate.
  6. It most likely has to do with a slight shift in the ram and shell holder due to the different amount of force needed to resize new or fired brass. You will notice a difference in oal if you leave the sizing position empty and seat a bullet also.
  7. I had this happen on mine recently. Take the slider bar off the press and loosen the set screw in the side of it to release the primer cup and spring. Clean the underside of the cup and the shoulder of the shaft. Mine had debris in there causing cup to sit crooked. then it would contact the wall of the primer tube base as it tried to return. Reassemble the cup assy. and check to make sure it sits square to the bar. Mine has been working great since cleaning and did not require any parts.
  8. Why don't you try a different brand of bullets?
  9. An Irishman walks out of a bar.
  10. Been there done that. Knocked my pistol loose with the butt of my shotgun on the last stage of SMM3G match. At least I got to shoot the whole match. Live and learn. Check your gear!

And THESE are the experiences I have been waiting on. Thanks for posting! Sarge, you are obviously a man with experience. I too, am waiting on more reliability reports before jumping in again.
  12. What kind of groups are you 9mm guys getting at 25 yrds with the "new" 1 or 2 dimple production barrels?
  13. If I were you I would take a small brass hammer and give the ejector a little tap on the top of it to "adjust" it down just enough to clear the slide. If you remove the retainer plate at the back of the slide you can sight through the ejector channel and see how much clearance you have.
  14. I am having the same issue with my 9mm 5"core. What exactly do you mean by change the angle of the ejector?
  15. +1 I tried a #13 spring and the gun cycled ok but the accuracy went to hell. I suspect it was because of the barrel having marginal lock up with the light spring. Went back to the #15 and all is good. My gun seems to function best with a power factor of 132-137. I use the way it ejects the brass as a gauge.
  16. I tried both a #13 and a #15 ISMI springs in my 9mm CORE and the accuracy seemed to get worse with the #13 so went back to #15. The gun functioned ok with both but went back to the #15. I have not tried the wolf springs. anybody else have this issue with lighter springs?
  17. I took ten years off from shooting then returned. Get back in the game as soon as you can. I had forgotten how much fun it is and what a great bunch of people are involved in the sport.. I am still shooting .38 supercomp and see no reason to change. Brass lasts longer, more powder choices.. Which ever you choose you will have a great time!
  18. The supplied #4 C-MORE STS plate fits the Vortex Razor. However the Vortex will not fit into the slide as it comes. The body of the Vortex is a little longer in front. I had to remove .035" from the forward shoulder of the slide to get the sight to drop down and sit flat. The sight is great but will require slight modification to the slide. Also the body is a little tall to co-witness well with the sights. You can see them but they are at the very bottom of the lens. The lock screw is easily accessed if you shorten the Allen wrench a little.
  19. The SSS guiderod I got was not tungsten but it also bound up using the stock spring. Try using ISMI springs they work great. Don't use Wolf unless you use their guide rod.
  20. I have been using a black ICE holster with the DOH/Tek-lock attachment for my M&P 9 Pro and loving it. Gives up very little to a full race holster.
  21. Don't waste a lot of money on a vac. You don't need a lot of power. Any small shop vac with 11/4" hose will work great.
  22. I was never happy with the results I got with the FSS kit. Made the trigger feel like a brick. Ended up removing it and going with the CAEK using the stock trigger.
  23. Watching better shooters is a good way to see how to shoot a stage, but many times your ability and speed determine the best way for you to shoot it. the timing and speed of poppers and swingers vs your ability make a huge difference in the "best" way to shoot a stage. I hate following a really good shooter who has a different plan and makes it look easy. Then you are standing there all conflicted when the buzzer goes off.
  24. I wish his logic was contagious! +1 on that!
  25. I was taught the RO watches the gun and the score keeper watches the hits. Perfect doubles can happen but in this sport you get penalized for perfection. You wouldn't want every mike to be turned into a double, would you?
