  1. Being a MD is very hard work and often a thankless job. That said, this thread is a match announcement and I am going to close it up. PM me if you have something to add schedule or replacement-wise. We have a match management forum for the other subject.
  2. The STI (or equivalent) mag tubes have a more gradual taper than the Para tubes. This is why the Para mag typically holds one more round than an STI tube. I actually use SPS tubes in my 2011 and I had to taper the bottom of the frame to allow the mags to achieve the full height. The Para tubes may require the same or more. Good luck, Chuck
  3. The classes that I have been to charged a nominal fee. If you have a classroom and range available, the cost is not bad if you can drum up 20 or so students. If your club is going to run Level 2 or 3 matches, covering some or all of the cost is a great way to build a local RO corps.
  4. They will help you out and perhaps even fix it for you. They may want the .psc files from each tablet so you may want to get them together.
  5. Go here and start a new topic for this: https://community.practiscore.com/
  6. Thanks, Now let's get back to admiring this classic open gun.
  7. This is just a friendly reminder from the forum guidelines: Restricted ContentPoliticsPolicy and political discussions or debates of any kind - even if you consider your opinions to be "facts" - are not welcome anywhere in the forum.Specifically including (but not limited to):• USPSA vs IPSC• IPSC vs IDPA• STI vs SVI• Limited 10 vs Limited Division• This Division vs That Division• This Government vs That Government• Gun Control Issues
  8. Actually, the bylaws were changed. This is the 2016 version: 16.2 Competition Equipment Rules Modifications: Changes to U.S. Division rules affecting personal competition equipment shall be adopted for a specific Division no more frequently than every two years except as may be required to comply with federal laws. Those changes must be published in the corporate newsletter three months prior to effective date. This was adopted in 2017: 16.2 Competition Equipment Rules Modifications: Changes to USPSA Division rules affecting personal competition equipment shall be adopted for a specific nonprovisional division no more frequently than every two years except as outlined below: i.) Changes as required to comply with federal laws ii.) Changes or clarifications which, approved by the BOD with consultation of DNROI and the instructor corps, would loosen restrictions or otherwise expand allowed personal competition equipment for a specific Division Notice of all such changes must be published in the board minutes three months prior to effective date. (This was/is for equipment rules. I don't recall any other limit on change outside of equipment rules. There may of been one prior to the IPSC/USPSA rulebook split.)
  9. And I can tell you, from experience, this is a great way to try and bring a barricade with you when you exit a port.
  10. got it! Thanks! That may of saved a few plug hunts.
  11. This is how I always broke down my 5" 1911's with the FLGR. I would unlock the barrel and remove the slide stop and pull the top end off the lower. Top end in the left hand, bushing wrench in right. Press down with the wrench and rotate the bushing so the plug could go find somewhere to hide. I would then pull out the spring and rotate the bushing the other way and remove it from the slide. Guide rod and barrel come out the bottom of the slide.
  12. I'm with Joe on this one! I can't visualize how the DTLGR would be needed in a gun with a bushing barrel.
  13. Why would you want to use one of those with a bushing barrel?

  16. I am not exactly sure when the Southwest Pistol League (SWPL) was formed but the first recorded League champion was John Plahn in 1963. I believe the Columbia Conference was the start of IPSC. a document can be seen in this thread: The first draft of the rules was published in 1979.
  17. I would have to try it but it may just be training wheels. But that POV is from someone who has been shooting a dot in one form or other for 16+ years. What I would like to see is the ability to change the diameter of the circle.
  18. This Hate rant has turned into a discussion, which is beyond the bounds of the rules for the Hate Forum. Thus, it must be closed. Please review the Hate Forum Rules: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8097 [note: this is a generic response]
  19. And it looks like a fine time to wrap this up.... "IntentThis Forum is for firearm, technique, and conceptual discussions pertaining to training and competition. (And various unrelated topics.) While the occasional defensive shooting post is not prohibited, in general, defensive shooting discussions or debates are discouraged. And please, no hunting or "killing animals" (of any kind) threads." Merry Christmas, all...
