Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Ok, checked again. I think I’ve found the issue with this wear on the inside of the case insert slide?
  2. Removing the aftermarket part made no difference. Disassembling showed no breakage of parts nor cleaning needed but I did wipe it down and add grease.
  3. Thank you for posting that, but I didn’t find a solution in that thread. I’ve tightened up everything and greased where appropriate, but I’m still seeing quite a bit of pressure on the camming pin.
  4. This just started happening after switching back to 9mm from .300BO and I’m flummoxed, it’s rubbing very hard, hard enough that running the lever is not smooth and I won’t reload until I’ve fixed this, I just can’t see what’s wrong. I’ve tried adjusting the camming pin up and down to no avail.
  5. Could you tell us more about the hookup to the Dillon casefeeder, perhaps post some pictures?
  6. Sent an email with fairly routine question to PrairieDog, no response for months.
  7. There is no way that taking away material makes the frame stronger.
  8. I figured it out last night and got it cranking out some ammo. The chute/bin assembly for feeding the completed rounds was bent over to the left and intermittently rubbing the slide and cam assembly, on the side I cannot see from the from of the machine. Much genuine thanks to all that read this and offered help.
  9. Dillon dies that worked great on my 550. Stations are filled, mixed brass that worked fine on my 550.
  10. This machine was originally set up for .45. I have the correct case feeder components installed, the case feeder is working great. I've been on the phone with Dillon (twice yesterday) and adjusted cam rod per their instructions with spotty to bad results. I'm at my wit's end with this while waiting to see if Dillon support is open on Sunday (cannot find their hours posted anywhere). I'm getting cases that must be manually nudged all of the way into the shellplate or they will be crushed. The case insert slide is correctly installed for pistol with the long side of the cam facing the machine. The back of the cam is flush with the cam slide. The camming pin is adjusted to where it allows the slide to stop its forward movement into the shellplate with the handle pushed all of the way forward. The station 2 locator tab is properly adjusted.
  11. I have a 550 and a shoulder with issues, plus I am close to 1000 rounds a month of 9mm. Decisions...
  12. My point is that anyone with a decent progressive almost always says the same thing as you "Why in the world would I hand prime anything if I have a reputable, good running progressive press?"
  13. I and nearly everyone else reloading here will take the chance and trust our progressives. Do you prime before loading on your 650?
