  1. You could always volunteer at your local club and conveniently just use memory stages Just don't tell them which car is yours.
  2. Threads like this remind me how much better our sport would be if people got off the internet and just went and shot a match. Get back to what we enjoy versus finding more ways to make it complicated.
  3. wait, what? the common sense way would be to have a 2nd MD to hand off the scoring stuff to, and the afternoon group puts everything away and tidies up. This assumes that you're just pulling RO's from each squad, and not trying to have static RO's. It looks like we are going to split up the MD duties for our weeknight steel matches in order to set up earlier without having 1 guy be stuck there excessively long. Yea, I can see that. I guess it all depends on what part of the country you are in. Here in the Denver area I think we almost have too many options and the number of folks who are willing to put in the work and pound the stakes are becoming few and far between. We are lucky enough to have two and sometimes three matches a weekend within about an hour or two but it ends up being the same folks doing all the work.
  4. Yes, those who do the work should absolutely stay there all day to accommodate for people who don't want to get up early.. Or not..
  5. For those of you who haven't been out to shoot this match before it is extremely well run and fun.
  6. It is the same thing around our area as well. We have actually had more shooters incorrectly scored in CO than actually shooting it since they bought ported dot Tupperware.
  7. What about pocket rocket. The BUG major division.. There are dozens of tactical timmies that would benefit from it.
  8. I am so excited.. It is about time we allowed those long guns in a handgun match...
  9. sat pm sun am appears to be about 1/3 of the available slots. the other two options are fri pm and sat am, or thur pm and fri am. Lots of space still available for both. Ok so it may not be as bad as previously stated. Did you look via your squadding link or a general one? If the latter could you forward it on? Update the Sat/Sun squads are all full... bummer.
  10. I'm guessing that only the ones that are able to shoot on Sunday are going to be at the awards. I'm not going to pay for another night at a hotel and car rental. With 16 stages, it seems odd that the shooting is spread out so wide across different days. I had heard from a lot of our local shooters that the guys run a solid match so I signed up right when I could however they don't seem to have very much information published and for the life of me I can't figure out how the weekend is full if just about half of the match is booked. imho that is WAY better than giving valuable prizes to the C or D class 'winners'. But whatever, I go for the stages, not for the prize table. I have a job and can buy my own prizes, and they'll be something I want. I don't disagree, I guess I am used to shooting Area 2 and 3 where it is in overall order of finish.. If I am essentially paying 100 bucks for a raffle I could just go buy my own glock holster I wont use. ...
  11. Well if I can't get a weekend squad they will have another spot opening back up. I also just noticed it is a Random draw at a 200 dollar entry fee Area match.... Not sure I am a fan of that.
  12. I totally agree with AWALZS. I have no objection at all to PCC matches, just keep them out of the handgun matches! I agree with this as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I couldn't agree more.. Add a PCC division to Multi-gun or Steel Challenge but it doesn't belong in a pistol match.

    CHA-LEE's Tale

That's it......... 170+ PF powder puffs Its funny you mention that because on several occasions I have been "questioned" on my Major Power Factor ammo before from RO's at Major Matches thinking I am shooting sub-Major loads. A few times I have been sent back to Chrono for a double check and other times I simply tell the RO to pick any mag or box of ammo out of my range bag and them shoot my blaster to see how powder puff it really is. Then proceed to watch them shoot it and the gun is muzzle flipping like crazy. That usually produces a smile for everyone and we both go on with the match. I've been through the same thing. #bigguyproblems Except you went minor
  14. In my experience MDs at level II matches shoot with the staff on the first day of the match. When I ran the Colorado State match this year the RM and I both shot on the first day of the match. There was a crap ton of prework that went into getting everything ready to go before first shots were fired but after a few stages issues were worked out early in the morning it was just a really long day of shooting after a really long day of setup followed by two really long days of MD stuff. The thought that the MD doesn't do anything during the main match and it is all on the RM after the first shot is almost laughable. There is always stuff that needs done.
  15. Some compacts do and some don't. I had one of my M&Ps start doing the same thing and I took it apart for parts. Didn't seem safe to me and just wasn't worth it.
  16. I was never able to get a straight answer from Apex and had the same problem on my three pistols with this setup. I did some pretty extreme drop testing with one of mine and never had any issues so I didn't worry about it.
  17. I shoot their 147s in 9mm and 180 and 200s in .40 without any issue. I don't think you can beat them for the price.
  18. I hate when people point out I am being hypocritical about hating something .... That and I hate Google and all of their little annoying bits..
  19. I have used TTIs on my M&Ps and now my 2011. I can get 21 reloadable with the TTI mags, springs and followers and the springs seem to last better too.
  20. They burned me at the Pikes Peak Shotgun Challenge and the Noveske Area 2 match last year... I wont be using them again.
  21. yowsa, luckily I don't have to worry about a rental car as we are going to drive but I guess I better get on the hotel hunt. Thanks
  22. Search USPSA and pastebin and you will more than likely see it in the list.
