Not to further derail this thread but everyone is entitled to their opinion. Of the three USB kits I had installed none of them actually functioned as a safety mechanism after 2,000 rounds anyway. If APEX was so concerned they would release a notice about their products which obviously given the amount of discussion on this and other forums have reliability issues. I had considered a dropped gun when they were still installed but after several hours of testing I wasn't able to get the striker to drop and hit a snap cap so I am not too concerned. As far as spit balling on what could happen if a part fails on a gun, go ahead and have fun with that one. Ultimately I am switching away from the M&P platform for limited compeition anyway both because of their trigger mechanisms and their accuracy.

I kind of agree with you. What blows me away is that the creator, writer, producer, and director is Kurt Sutter... He also plays Otto!!! The man who has suffered perhaps the most. Yes, it seems he is a little (a lot) twisted. He has talked of doing a prequel season/movie about the club. if that was the case I would watch, otherwise I am done.

Safety be damned.. Only on my two limited guns though... I don't/havn't shot production.

That is unfortunate, I get 3Gun nation on the Sportsmans channel and used to get Hot Shots there as well. I like watching the show but not enough to give Glenn Beck any of my money.

Anyone know when the new season will start? I saw the Max Michel Hot Shots video on youtbue and realized I havn't seen the show for some time...

Then you will be missing great matches. This call was no more a defining moment for this great match then the horrible 51% score I put up. With all the complaining about how things where run this year or whinning about how they may be run in the future I think people are missing the point that this is supposed to be fun and nothing is or can be perfect. The staff for Limited nationals did a fantastic job, which was much more difficult then it is for us to sit here and complain.

No stage 11 vids Stage 11 was a cool shoot house type stage and for safety reasons they didn't want people videoing from in the house.

This was Stage 10 on my Day 3 so I would say atleast a third. I honestly figured the stage would be tossed but I am by no means a rule expert.

So, I was on squad 13 and we didn't realize that the activator popper was one of the MGM forward or reverse falling ones and were just setting it like a normal popper. We made it about 8 people through our 10 person squad when one shooter hit it three times in the scoring area and just stopped himself from the COF (balzy). Luckily when Troy came over he inspected the target instead of just shooting it and noticed it was set impropperly. He asked how we had been resetting it and we all said we weren't putting the little front stop up (not sure what it is actually called). He ordered a reshoot for our whole squad after setting it propperly and having to recalibrate it. We all reshot the stage, after our reshoots we talked to the R.O. and stated our concern that the popper still wasn't activating consistantly for all competitors and she declided to call Troy over. The ladies squad was up behind us and had an issue with the activator/swinger and were given the option to reshoot a the stage. After hearing about that ruling myself and and a couple of competitors went to Troy and we were given the option of doing a second reshoot on the COF if we felt that the popper activated the swinger slowly. I didn't hear a rule number cited nor did I ask.

I had the same issue with one of their new kits. The new USB is domed and can make timing the tigger bar a pain in the but (atleast for me). After talking with another shooter I just removed the USB from my Limited gun and it smoothed out the trigger and lightened the pull by a few ounces. -Price

Not going to contribute to the onslaught of speculation and stats. But for those that had asked about the facility in St. George it was fantastic, plenty of room and not too far from town.

The show used to be really good and now it is just the train wreck I can't look away from. I am amazed how horribly bad the writer treats his character in the show.

I shoot my M&Ps 3x FS and 1 compact at 25 yards regularly at an indoor range and I am able to get a decent group unsupported (5 inches) with both the new S&W barrel and the KKM barrel I just put in my other FS. I had about 20k rounds through my first older style S&W barrel was able to keep them inside the IPSC target at 25 but that is about it. I used to run 11lb springs in my FS guns but recently switched to 13lb and seem to be getting a little better accuracy, but not sure.

Ken, have you used the Apex trigger?? Are they comparable? I just can't see waiting two or three weeks when I can drop in the Apex on my own.

I didn't think there were really any 180 traps or anything like that but 18 is a lot. In talking with the ROs during the match it seemed like they were pretty spread out.

Safe to say with Paul uploading videos, I wont be too productive today at work.

Ok, that souds good. I just don't want to that guy who shows up to shoot the second day in the afternoon only to find out I am five hours late ...

Has there been a schedule posted yet as far as start and stop times? I am a little curious if I am shooting Saturday/Sunday afternoon how the Awards will be at 3:30 on Sunday?

The stages look great, definitelying looking forward to this one.

My Dillon .45 die did the same thing on my 650 for about the first 5000 or so rounds, I guess it just slowly wore down over time.
