  1. Ok, what is the purpose of the dryer sheet?
  2. Only the ones who like to delve into internet drama...
  3. I can't tell if you are being serious or not.. On the off chance you are serious, if you think reloading is the most difficult aspect of the game you may want to reconsider how you play the game.
  4. Not really they would just have to abide by local laws.
  5. They are talking about 357-sig in Lim Lim10 so I guess a comp isn't that far off.
  6. No, and I understand why they ruled the way they did. For all but a couple of squads the side match was going on during the match. I happened to be one of the few who would have finished the match (shot last stage) then shot the side match. Per the rules a DQ in the side match wouldn't have caused a main match DQ but since most competitors shot the side match during the match they said any DQ during the side match would be a main match DQ since it was running at the same time as the main. I wasn't in the running for anything but didn't want to risk it.
  7. Yea, 9.2.2 was what they told us when we got to the stage as well. I ended up not running it because of how 10.3.5 was being applied but it looked like a fun stage. It was fun to watch a shooter hurry up and unload their gun, drop it in the box and hit the stop buttons and start looking at the targets only to realize five seconds later you had to take your hands off the buttons for the timer to stop..
  8. Looking forward to the match.. I guess I better get reloading.
  9. Cy, I am actually switching to 200's because of cost. From Xtreme I can buy 200's for the same price as 180's and I use less powder to make PF. I do think it slowed the slide down a tad but as anyone who has every shot with me knows, I don't use those slide bumps very often.
  10. Once you get the used to holding the VP at the right angle it loads really fast and is definitely worth the money. I have used it on small and large pistol primers without issue.
  11. I use them on my non-Pro 4.25 .40s
  12. Nothing makes me laugh more then when someone states their opinion and adds the old "trust me" at the end to drive their point home... But anyway... I guess it depends on your definition of death grip. I grip the gun as hard as a possible can and still maintain the dexterity in my trigger finger. As a result I am not slowing down or causing jerky slaps on the trigger which would displace my front sight. This isn't something I practice during dry fire (atleast with my gun) but I do work on it with the CoC grippers. I hold one upside down and close it (or as close as possible) and hold it under pressure without using your trigger finger and act like your squeezing your trigger at the same time. It gives you a little better idea of how much force you can exert without completely ruining your dexterity.
  13. TalonGrips makes a great product. I have been using the same one since Nationals last year and it still grips well. Albeit to well to start with, after shooting nationals my hand was bleeding. They offer (or used to) a discount for multiples so I just bought three last time. Highly recommended. http://talongungrips.com/grips/smith-and-wesson/m-and-p-full-size-.22-9mm-.357-.40-and-c.o.r.e..html
  14. I don't know, I guess I don't really feel the need to have a public execution. He did wrong and then was banned. Seems like the area that was involved was notified. Don't give the guy more time, maybe discuss how this can be prevented in the future. But he has been banned for life, just let it be or focus on what can prevent it in the future.

    I HATE WINDOWS 8

I am surprised EzWinScore will even run on Windows 8. Windows 7 is still going to be supported for another 6 or 7 years, no reason to switch to Windows 8. Buy yourself an OEM license of Win7 Pro off of NewEgg and you will be much better off. -Price
  16. Try getting that same strong grip but without tension from your chest/abs like Lucky mentioned earlier. That has been a focus of my dry fire lately. I have been trying to keep all the "tension" in my hands/wrist/forearms/biceps so I can move the rest of my body without being all jerky and tight.

    CHA-LEE's Tale

But then how will you find your gun? Is it legal to photograph Pandas in the wild?
  18. This post shows the maturity level of the RM in question. I was wondering when this would hit Enos but I sure didn't think he would be the one posting it. I was almost done with my letter to the DNROI when I realized he wasn't even an RO. Still sending it because the situation was amplified a 1000 times by the RM and threats of physical violence should never occur on the range. -Price
  19. Pretty sure the 200k prize table isn't cash (entirely) but is donated goods. I would chose the one with the prize table because I don't need to go shoot with "PROs" to get my arse kicked... The locals do a good enough job of that for me.... Although I find the term "PRO" to be absurd when talking about the shooting sports. What makes you a "PRO" accepting money for a win? If that is the case we had a "PRO" C class shooter at the Rocky Mountain 300 walk away with more profit than I would imagine a lot of the 3GN shooters walk away with at the end of the week. Don't get me wrong I am sure there are a few people out there who actually get paid for a living doing this and more power to them. Like it was mentioned earlier you can't even compare the shooting sports to other sports. Golf is probably one of the best examples because any Joe who is good enough can qualify and play in major OPEN tournaments or earn his way on by getting his card, but there the "PROs" can actually make a living... Just play on the weekend and you are going to make 10k+ and that is for dead last after making the cut.
  20. A bowl of cheerios (unless CHA-LEE's wife brings burritos ) before the match and water all day long.... I couldn't afford to shoot if I spent as much money as you guys do on "uppers"
  21. If you already have the money invested in current Windows software (PhotoShop, MS Office, etc) and they don't allow cross platform install it might be worth it to install something like CrossOver (like Wine for Mac) so you don't have to buy new licenses until you are ready and you don't have to run two OSs which saves on overhead. They also make a plugin for the MAC so you can write to NTFS permissions as well. There are a lot of reasons to stay away from FAT partitions.
  22. I am always afraid of going minor and as a result haven't been under 178 yet. On a slightly different topic last year at Nationals I had a failure to go into battery and thus only had 6 rounds to be shot and since I load pretty warm it wasn't an issue for me. What if it was? Can that round be replaced? What if you have a squib, since that round was "fired" does it hurt you in the average?
  23. We should really talk to the stage designer about that.
  24. Ah , i was wondering what that meant. I thought it was odd that they say typically 1/2 inch at 25 yards and typically 2 inches at 25 yards.
