I put a Glock OEM trigger/trigger bar back in it. That's when I noticed the issue. Previously it had an Apex trigger/Glock trigger bar in it with no issues. Although I believe the trigger return spring in both housings are the factory weight (that's all I have in my parts box) a spring change did happen with the trigger housing change as both housings had springs already in them. Could be that the springs made a difference instead of the housing. Gun is working properly right now though. Glock OEM innards in the gun all the way through. Funny thing is, I had myself convinced that I HAD to have an Apex trigger on my Glocks to shoot them reasonably well. Then, Saturday, I shot a box stock 17.4 in a match. I did well. Hmmm.... OEM Glock trigger seems to work for me. What the????

Okay, thanks! I wondered how everyone was getting away with lighter springs in so many Glocks for so long. I swapped out the trigger housing in mine and it seemed to help. I believe the original problem was the trigger housing as again, I was getting no other symptoms. Thanks again.

I noticed today that the trigger on my 17.4 wasn't fully resetting. I had to give it a little nudge forward to get the trigger safety lever to engage. I replaced the striker spring with an OEM 5 lb spring and all is well. The gun was experiencing no other issues such as light strikes. Now I'm curious. Does a 4 or 4.5 lb spring reliably reset the trigger safety? (Obviously I've never run one.) TIA!!

It's not .gov's business if someone DQ's. Those clubs who are sharing this info should be boycotted. I still have a hard time believing this is actually true.

Since my loads are fairly mild, 4.1 W231, 124 grain coated, I have some leeway I believe.

Since I only practice and shoot local outlaw matches, mixed range brass works great. In fact, I think they would work great at Nationals, because they just run!!! No one that I know of runs 9 major at my little club though. So I don't worry about that.

I reload 9's because: 1) I had the equipment on hand. All I needed were dies and a shell holder. 2) I can dial up the loads I like. 124 grain HiTek bullets for the most part. 3) I like to reload. Gives me something to do on cold winter days too. Us retired bums need activities like this. 4) It gives me a great deal of satisfaction to see my product work well. 5) Otherwise, we would be walking on a sea of 9mm brass in our bays if I didn't pick up the stuff. Does it make economic sense? Barely. It's just a fun hobby for me.

Oops! I got that backwards. Yep, it's the strong hand "flip off."

Stoeger recently released a YT video where he talked about "flipping off" your strong hand middle finger in an effort to relax your strong hand. At least, that's the way I took it. I know I have a terrible tendency to crush with both hands "when I really want to shoot good." The technique of "flipping off" is working for me anyway.

I love my Mitutoyo calipers. So well made. I've had it for years now.

I've loaded a bunch of coated 200 SWC's over Ramshot Competition in 45. It works well as does WST. But then so does W231. The 45 ACP is such a flexible round to load. The biggest problem I've ever encountered loading 45 SWCs is getting the OAL just right. I finally learned that all you need is just sliver of the projectile shoulder projecting from the case mouth, like a thumb nail's worth. OAL will vary with the bullet design.

My M&P's treat me wonderfully. Apex drop in barrels and triggers make them very accurate and shootable. (and legal in CO) They just run.

It was a success IMHO. I needed both plates as I described above to get it mounted. The FTP doesn't appear to create any ejection issues and the mount appears to be solid.

Motor mica is a good dry neck lube.

I've always had love/hate relationship with the backstrap on my 2.0 4" Compact. Loved it because it was so grippy, hated because it felt like I had a 20 grit belt sander strapped to my body after about 4 hours. Anyway, I FINALLY got a 2.0 backstrap for my 1.0 M&P that has the texture that my 2.0 Compact features. The other 2 I've obtained previously that were advertised as being "2.0" had a much more mild texture ala' the 1.0 version. Now I will be unstoppable. Ahem.

About the only powder I can find consistently these days is talcum. Get yourself on a mailing list/waiting list somewhere and hope. Given current market conditions, ANY shotgun powder is good powder. I'd rather load 20 grains of PB than 16 grains of nothing.

My wife was pronounced cancer free last November and continues to be. I still have a few primers in the reloading center/Office of Strategic planning. There's a pumpkin pie in the oven and the house smells wonderful. (And if my luck continues to hold, I'll make Super Senior this weekend!)

I haven't had an issue in the 5 months or so of use. Timer is still running strong.

I picked up this tip here on another thread awhile back. Slip a piece of thin steel inside the silicone skin and stick it on your belt magnet. Works pretty slick.

I ordered them from Amazon this past summer. I have to say I'm not all that impressed. For example, the tuxedo targets' hard cover is not symmetrical. Pre-painted targets are a time saver, but I don't think the extra cost justifies them, particularly since the black cover isn't applied all that accurately. Just my 0.02.

I've loaded a ton of it in 45. Works fine albeit a bit sooty. Nothing I can't live with though. I'm currently loading in 9mm minor with 124 coated bullets. Works just fine there too. It meters well and consistently. A bit sooty but it wipes off easily. I wouldn't hesitate to use it.

Under the extractor or the ejector?

Get yourself a nice solid rest of some kind. Put up a target about 15-20 yards downrange. Carefully squeeze off a few rounds into the the target (say 3-5 rounds). Adjust the dot accordingly. Repeat as necessary. Once the rounds are impacting more or less in a cluster around your point of aim, you are sighted in.

So very, very difficult to narrow it down to just one. But if forced to choose: "Lawrence of Arabia" The epic that defines "epic."
