  1. During one of my trips to TR, Clint was talking about how everyone with previous military experience insisted they were a sniper during their stint. No one ever claimed to be a cook or a truck driver. Having been to TR before and heard the same observation from Clint, I was ready with my response. "I drove the sniper truck."
  2. I've loaded several pounds of RS Comp in 45 ACP but none in 9mm. It just strikes me as a bit fast for 9mm..
  3. It's weird. I can't use the word "Limited" in the thread because it will change to the "crayon" bit.
  4. I wet tumble w/o the pins. The cases come out plenty clean. Some carbon/soot is left inside the cases which help reduce brass seizing on the powder funnel. I also hit the cases with spray case lube in a small plastic tub. Enough lube gets in enough case mouths to keep the problem to a minimum.
  5. I don't see the need for really "top end" boutique dies for reloading ammo intended for practical shooting games. Standard ordinary dies are fully capable of producing ammo more than accurate enough for the games. Reliability is the key factor. Does your finished product feed reliably in the pistol? That's your primary goal. Precision ammo is worthless if it doesn't feed reliably. Get a good, quality set of calipers would be my other advice.
  6. As for me, I obviously got the RO ticket from the class, but I learned how to RO from running squads with experienced RO's. Frankly, I don't know that anyone should sport the RO tag until they've actually run squads in an actual match after RO training.
  7. Be sure it's actually copper chore boy and not copper plated steel chore boy pads.
  8. 17.78493 yards . (18 yards roughly.) Not much holdover or under at most ranges. I don't shoot much past 25 yards at most matches.
  9. I tossed in Apex barrels mostly to comply with CO rules which forbid ported barrels. I know my M&P's are very accurate shooters. I wish I was.
  10. I use Peltor Pros with the optional gel ear cups. They conform to my noggin MUCH better than the standard foam ear cups do. I also use ESS Crossbow glasses with the shorter/thinner bows to help the gel cups seal up better.
  11. I can only hope that karma visits the folks running these scam sites. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
  12. I've had good luck with Vibra Tite VC3. Use it as instructed naturally.
  13. Cool! Thanks!! I have a feeling that learning Sketchup might be a good wintertime project.
  14. I tried that but the d/l menu didn't give that option. I'm using an iMac so maybe that's the difference?
  15. I have been sorely tempted to pick one of those kits up.
  16. Hi,

  17. Trident Stage designer no longer wants to save my stages. I went ahead and emailed them but I expect no response, like usual. I've about had it with them. On the other hand, I've been trying to get Sketchup up and running but it appears that 2017 Make is the last free version. Unfortunately, the USPSA files available on 3D warehouse apparently are not compatible with 2017. I must upgrade to a newer version the error message tells me. I'm not sure I want to spend club $$$$ on a s/w that I may or may not get comfortable with. The learning curve with SU appears to be long and bloody. I like easy. Running matches already has enough built in headaches. I don't need any more. Any ideas? TIA!
  18. Tungsten for the win! At least a better shot at it.
  19. For me, it's the crappy ass range brass I pounce upon that deals me the most issues. The Hundo case gauge has been a godsend for my QA efforts.
  20. I've been working on that, but I'm getting frustrated because it doesn't seem to be happening during my version of high speed match conditions. I just gotta work harder I guess (which always seems to be the answer to most issues.)
