  1. Amen brother. Lets hope the new USPSA President gets HQ, SC and USPSA straightened out. now these I can agree with. If USPSA doesn't want to run Steel Challenge legitimately as a separate type of competition then sell it to someone that will.
  2. Dave said 10 per squad and no 2 guns on the same squad. But you can shoot morning and afternoon. The registration form is showing a morning and afternoon match for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The morning match will of course start earlier than this year. I think he said 8am but you would have to ask him to be sure.
  3. It was a good match, Ran smooth. Next year should be even better with the 2 matches a day format.
  4. Got my digital in ear plugs from Sound Gear. They shipped them 2 days after receiving my molds. That's fast service. They worked excellent. Used them for two days at the PA State Steel challenge match. None of the loud noise from the shooting on 9 stages.
  5. but it is sold out. call before you come to see if you can get a spot
  6. More steel challenge matches I hope. Since the Guthsville matches are the only one around that runs a sanctioned match with 6 - 8 stages. that match would be full every month
  7. Received my new CMore RTS2 from Shooters Connection a couple of weeks ago. It has been flawless with over 1000 rnds. through it already. So Glad CMore got the issues sorted out. It is an excellent sight just like the other CMore products.
  8. If You don't support the companies that support our sport they will slowly withdraw sponsorship and eventually walk away from the business. It is difficult enough for small business to make a buck today. I always shop first at companies that support the sport even if I have to pay a little more......Why....if you don't repay them they will quit with sponsorship's. A perfect example is the large matches throughout the country that receive 10's of thousands of dollars in free and greatly reduced cost items for prize tables. If they don't see a return on their efforts they will stop giving us so much free stuff. and for Gods sakes when you receive a prize have the decency to thank that sponsor by calling them or at least emailing.!
  9. You can buy 10 round mags for your STI. It is hard to tell from the pic, but they have ribs running down the sides that basically turn the into single stack mags. A $325 investment for 5 mags for one match..... http://oakhillguns.com/magazines/sti2011mags/sti-126mm-9mm-mag-1845.html This is true but they would also be good for matches in NJ and NY
  10. The sun works fine if you have the time in the summer. If not 15 minutes in the oven at 250 degrees takes care of any residual water. It won't harm the brass as annealing starts at much higher temps.
  11. manny bragg futuristic magnetic holster, There that just about covers all possible choices. It really is that varied. The CR Speed is an excellent holster to start out with. The others are probably a bit more advanced but that depends on the shooter and level of experience. I started out with the CR speed, tried a DAA but didn't prefer it and now use Manny Braggs' holster.
  12. Has Cmore fixed the issues with the RTS2? Bought one last fall and had to return it right away...it would shut off on every other shot......
  13. Thanks I will Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  14. I am looking at 3 brands of these custom digital plugs...Hear Pro, ESP, and Defend ear. Does anyone have any experience with any of them that they could tell me good or bad. I don't mind spending the money to protect my ears and be able to hear. I just don't want to throw it away either. Thanks for any help.
  15. Be careful what you ask for To many categories to shoot will kill a sport. Ya I know ya'll are thinking BS. Think about this. More categories just spreads out the shooters and the competition level goes down. If You think you can't kill a sport with to many categories....Look at IHMSA as an example. It started out with 4 categories and now has 18 categories in small bore field pistol and Big bore, plus a bunch more in air rifle. 20 yrs ago in was a fast growing sport. now it is almost dead. At some point you have to quit watering it down and just shoot

    New to Glocks

Definitely have her shoot both. I shoot the 17 better, my wife likes the 34 more. It is a persoanl preferrence.
  17. It has been done, think someone converted a 10 to a 38 super a while back. Have to Google search it though Thats a cool idea.!!! I might have to have one of them
  18. my proposal would have elements that would make it worth the while to do I think ....it can't really be 'unlimited' for the number of shooters they allow for the match ...? an Unlimited number of shooters is not realistic. 12 shooters per squad and 8 squads per day. thats about all you can push through in a day. You might be able to push up to 15 on a squad but that will start pissing off shooters. If you dropped to 8 or 10 shooters per squad you might be able to run two matches in a day but those would be long days
  19. No he wouldn't. There are a lot of clubs that only run 2 or 3 SCSA stages and run outlaw on other stages and only report the sanctioned stages to SCSA/USPSA. Personally I would rather shoot sanctioned stages all the time but some shooters complain that it is boring to shoot the same stages.....I guess those are the ones that have GM times so they are bored
  20. there really is no right answer for everyone. You have to be willing to experiment and try different things....what you find that works for you now may not later as your abilities change.
  21. don't slam your mag into the gun. If the mag is fully loaded and you load into a closed action it will go in tight. Push on the base of the mag with the pad of your thumb and you will hear and feel it click into place. Chances are it is operator error just because you are new to the gun. It is possible that something is wrong but not that likely.. Load an empty mag into the gun with the slide open...you can feel it snap in.....now push on the top of the mag to see if it come out...if not its you not the gun. Slamming the mag in will work but if you don't do it right it may not lock and on the first shot it will slip down and not strip the next round or cause it to jam.....or fall free from the gun.
  22. who was the vendor? what company?
  23. I have shot them both on my buckmarks. minuscule difference. pick one and don't sweat it.
