  1. My Versamax eats this stuff like candy. Can't beat the price for range time. Not much luck with 22lr around here, maybe soon....
  2. Welcome from Central Florida.
  3. So, I take it the remington brand pro bore chokes are not as good as briley or carlsons? What I'm trying to determine is if I should replace them. I'm no shotgun choke expert at all, but I'll use them if they work well, but don't want to spend $150 on 3 new chokes if these are just as good or make little difference. One thing that bugs me is on my JM pro w/briley ext chokes & this versa 3-gun model w/rem pro bore ext chokes is the chokes come loose appx every 10-20 rds on both guns & diff brand chokes even if I tighten them pretty hard w/choke wrench. Is this common with everyone's shotguns? I have the same problem with my chokes coming loose VERY quickly. Tried really tightening them up the last trip out but made no difference. Just starting out in 3 gun but when I shot trap I don't recall the chokes coming loose very often.
  4. Welcome to the forum. I shoot at Volusia if your ever up this way.
  5. Just picked up my Competition Tactical today. Looking forward to getting some trigger time with it. Leg injury has me on the sidelines but hoping to shoot it early next week. Hopefully range report to follow soon.
  6. Trojan is a great gun for the money. Mine is super reliable and more accurate than I am.
  7. I have good luck with both Federal and Blazer in both my Sti's. Maybe you should look into Atlanta Arms and Ammo, I believe they are taking new customer's now. Think there is a limit of 1000 rounds monthly but it's top quality stuff. Good luck with your new purchase.

    CZC ATROX

That's a pretty cool looking CZ. It seems anything CZ Custom puts out is a shooter.
  9. Welcome to the forum. Have only read about the Grand Power X-Calibur, not available here in the states yet I believe. How do you like it? Would love to try one out.
  10. Welcome to the forum. Lot's of good shooting in Florida.
  11. That's pretty awesome. Planning on trying out my first 3 gun match as soon as I pick up my shotgun. Hope my first time goes as well as yours but I doubt it!
  12. I have a biometric gun safe on my nightstand with my edc and Glock 17 at the ready. It would be easily stolen if someone broke into my house and probably broken into quickly. It does offer me the ability to have a firearm at my disposal but prevents my small children from gaining access. Multiple fingerprints can be programmed and it has battery back up if I lose power to the safe. Also has a separate key if for some reason there was no power and the battery was dead. It's an American Tactical but I don't recall the model. About 2 years old and seems to be holding it's own. Good luck with your search.
  13. Welcome to the forum. I belong to VCGHC, do you shoot there?
  14. Congratulations! Being a dad is awesome. Enjoy your new baby boy.
  15. Thank you everyone for the kind words. I have contacted the hospital both by phone and in person. The head nurse of the ICU department was nice enough to escort me around the hospital trying to see who has the death certificate and figure out if it had been sent into the state yet. Unfortunately there was a meeting on Friday that just about all the administration was at located in another hospital. She took down my cell and has been in contact both by phone and text with me since, trying to resolve the matter. I just can't rap my head around any human being not taking care of such a simple but important piece of paper in a more timely fashion.
  16. My father passed away on Monday. All of his nurses during his ICU stay where caring and terrific at there job. After his passing I contacted the funeral home we selected and on Tuesday made the arrangements. On Wednesday I received a call from the funeral home asking who my fathers doctor was. Apparently the hospital had given them the wrong doctors name. I informed them of the doctors name and thought that would be the end of it. I was wrong. Friday I received another call from the funeral home informing me the doctor is not returning there calls or providing them with his signature and license number for the death certificate. Without the death certificate nothing can be done with my fathers remains and all legal proceedings are on hold. You would think the doctor could find the time to sign a death certificate so my father could be laid to rest.
  17. I also have Duke energy now and have similar problems. Every time I call to get an expected restoration time they tell me 2 hours. 2 hours later they add another 2 hours, this continues until power is restored. Offered to pay whatever it cost to connect to another line or whatever would solve our power issues. Actually was told I don't lose my power all that often. Am I wrong to expect power during rain storms? Apparently I am.
  18. Another vote for the Trojan, Dawson magwell and mags. Reliable and shoots so flat it's like cheating.
  19. Went from Glock to an Edge. Love the feel and the trigger is way better. Picked the Edge because the extra weight out front makes it feel like your shooting a BB gun. Back on target ultra quick.
  20. That's awesome. True hero's...
  21. Had a Rock Island I bought used for $300, shot surprisingly well. Also purchased a Springfield Armory used for under you're budget and it was a great shooter. Used is probably the way to go just check it out first. IMHO
  22. There's two outdoor options close by, Central Florida Rifle and Pistol Club and Volusia Gun and Hunt Club. Also some real nice indoor ranges, Gander Mountain has the nicest indoor range I have ever seen. Heard Orlando Gun Club is nice too but haven't been there yet. Btw I responded to your single stack question earlier, Dave Pruitt shoots at Volusia County. Drop me a PM when your in town and I'll show you around.
