  1. I can't speak about the CZ because I don't have one. Im sure there fine pistols, based on what I always hear about them. I can speak to the 9mm. Trojan. Based on price its the finest quality pistol I have ever purchased. The fun factor is thru the roof for one reason, accuracy. I've given the the Trojan to my 69 year old mother and all she had to say was wow. Every single person who shoots it loves it. IMO the Trojan just makes you shoot better and that always is more fun. Good luck with your decision.
  2. Wow 2-3 weeks seems pretty fast. I'll give him a call. I would love to see it in person before sending mine out. Getting my Ruger back from the gunsmith later next week, maybe after it returns to me we could meet at Gander.
  3. I have read a couple of other threads since my post and it seems shortening the ejector is what most do. Guess im just not understanding what caused the problem to begin with. I have shot several thousand rounds with no problems until today. It just seems odd that the ejector would fail out of the blue.
  4. No it was bent to the right towards the center of the gun. I checked my other full size 1911 and it has a much shorter ejector. Of course it's not a 9mm. It's a 45. Not sure if that makes any difference or not? Also does anyone make a stronger ejector? Ed Brown, Wilson, Fusion. I would gladly buy another if need be. Would also like to know why it happened. Maybe just a bad component?
  5. Just noticed I said extractor above. What I meant to say was ejector. Inspected the extractor with the RO and that looked to be good. Thanks again.
  6. I have an STI Trojan 9mm. Went out for some plinking today and after 120 rounds my slide felt tight. Removed the slide and found the extractor slightly bent. The RO tells me that some of the new extended extractors do this from time to time and I can just bend it back. Not sure I think that's the best idea. Has anyone else run into this problem and if so what would be the best long term repair/solution? I would think replacement but I'm not an expert. Thanks in advance for the help.
  7. That looks awesome. I was thinking of sending mine out but heard it takes awhile to get back. What was your turn around time? I hate not having my favorite .22
  8. Hope this post get's some responses. I have the exact same problem with mine! I was going to my local gunsmith tomorrow, if he sheds any light on what's going on i'll let you know. Good luck.
  9. Purchased a MKII 22/45 mag by accident (package miss marked) for my MKIII 22/45. Both worked in my gun but the MKII mag didn't lock back the bolt. Only visible difference was a small opening at the top of the mag, I assume to engage the magazine release? In any event, the local gun shop returned the mag and replaced it with the correct one. All is good.

    Ruger LCP

Picked one up for summer carry in Florida. 150 trouble free rounds so far. After another 150 rounds it will be my daily carry. Small and ultra light weight, fits perfect in my Desantis holster.
  11. Wow that's a great deal. Thanks for the heads up!
  12. Want to thank everyone for the welcome. Hope to get to meet some of you in person, shooting always brings out our best!
  13. Im a handgun guy, Sti Trojan 9mm., Glock 19, Ruger Mark III 22/45 are some of my favorites. Haven't done much competition shooting recently but plan to soon, probably over the summer. Had some recent elbow problems but hope they clear up soon. Looking into joining Volusia Hunt Club in Deland. Over this past winter I have been shooting a couple times a week at Gander Mountain in Lake Mary. How about yourself?
