    P07 Mag Issue

Im curious what might cause this? I have a Glock 19 with the same issue. Never thought it was a problem but can't explain why it happens either.
  2. I have a Ruger 22/45 with a Tac Sol upper and Volquartsen trigger. Super accurate, goes bang everytime and fun to shoot. Now if I could only find some ammo....
  3. The Spartan is a Rock Island firearm that STI does some of there magic on. The Trojan is made here in Texas by STI.
  4. Well I guess I found my next gun. Was saving for a 2011 but with everything going on maybe this a better option. Know I need to find some mags a holster and some time to go shooting! Range report will follow after I get her home and clean her up. Thanks for the help everyone. Ron
  5. Stopped by one of the local outdoor mega stores last night looking for 22 ammo. Didn't find any ammo, big surprise. I wandered over to the handgun case and found they had a CZ SP-01 Shadow Target in stock. Asked the clerk to look at it and really liked it. Asking price was $1299, the clerk went to help another customer and didn't come back for about 30 minutes. When he returned he apologized and told me he would give me $150 off for being so patient. I couldn't turn it down so I left a deposit on it. My question is this, is $1149 a fair price? To be honest I hadn't really reschearched any prices because I didn't plan on buying one. It came with a certificate from there custom shop, adjustable sights, fiber optic front sight and 3 mags. Just want to make sure it's a good deal, always scary when someone drops $150 off a price that fast. Thanks in advance, Ron
  6. I had planned on seeing Dave at a match on the 29th of this month. I'll have to let him know he has so many fans! Thank you everyone for the help. Ron
  7. Love my Trojan, best 1911 I ever purchased. Shoots better than me and always runs. They have been all over the classifieds lately
  8. Title says it all, looking for a good gunsmith in the Central Florida area. Tried a couple in my area but with less than stellar results. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Ron
  9. Same problem here. I was thinking maybe the economy being what it is has something to do with it. Its just plain cheaper to shoot, I know I shoot my Ruger way more than I used too. Not much fun when you wanna go shooting and can't find any plinking ammo though...
  10. I looked at the Element today. It was $550, it seemed real nice. Looked like it would be easy to clean. They didn't have a Prodigy in stock. I have been to two local dealers and neither has very knowledgeable sales people to explain the difference between makes and models. Thank you guys for the feedback, thus far its all the help I have to make a decision. Hoping to another dealer this weekend, I'll see how that goes.
  11. Perhaps that's the form I have? My local dealer gave it to me, basic personal info and picture. Signed by off by local law enforcement. I need to decide which to purchase and turn over paperwork. The dealer only stock's YHM Mite model's for .22lr. Have not heard much in the way of good experiences with that particular model. Have read some good reviews about the Sparrow but want some feedback before I make any purchase.

    938 question

I guess after waiting it out i'll just stick with my Lcp. I like the idea of the 9mm. instead of the .380 but just can't justify buying the Sig until I know they have all the bugs worked out. Also didn't love the trigger feel as some have pointed out. Thanks for all the advice guys.
  13. Been thinking about getting a suppressor for my Ruger 22/24 but have no idea of what to look for in one. I have all the correct paperwork to purchase one so I need some advice. Really just want something that is easy to clean, durable and of course quiet. Any first hand knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for all the help.
  14. +1 for Dawson. Have had a couple of different brands that hit the ejector during mag reloads. No such issues with Dawson
  15. Welcome to the forum. I shoot at Volusia Gun and Hunt, if your ever in the area let me know. Always good times shooting with fellow Gators. Go Gators!

    938 question

Recently was playing with the idea of getting a larger caliber edc. Currently have a Lcp but touched the new 938 and was impressed by it. Anyone have first hand knowledge with one? Accuracy, dependability and feeding wise? Thanks in advance for replying.
  17. Welcome from central Florida!
  18. I shall try this. Must admit i'm skeptical but willing to try anything at this point. To many years working with chainsaws...Thanks if it works or i'll be sending you the bill for the elastic band!
  19. Sti Trojan, best value in 1911 platform. Imho
  20. I own both the Glock 26 and Ruger Lcp. Both are easy to conceal and have been reliable but the Lcp finds its way into my pocket more often than not. Its just so light and easy to conceal. They can be had for under $300, another $25 for a Desantis Nemesis and your good to go.
  21. I was debating between the FFIII or C-more for my Ruger 22/45. Shoot steel outdoors, anyone have a recommendation for that application?
  22. Congrats on the Trojan. Love mine in 9mm. Its the gun that's most often requested when im headed to the range with friends. The VZ grips are awesome. Let us know how it shoots.
  23. Its almost unbelievable how many "gun experts " I meet that have no idea who STI is...like not knowing who Ruth or Ryan is in baseball. Incredible to me.
  24. Its been something I have come to accept as part of my life. Too many years of running chainsaws and polesaws. Forced me to stop shooting my rifles and large caliber handguns. Recently have been considering surgery. Good luck, hope you can manage to find some relief.
  25. I also have the STI Trojan in 9mm. I currently don't reload but saving up to soon. Biggest part of the caliber selection was the cost factor. I can run over to Wally World and pick up Winchester or Federal bulk ammo and go.
