  1. Jon, Tell him that TN does not put a hair color on the DL anymore. BUT if they did it would say "Chrome dome" Angryreb, PM sent. Hop
  2. I have a couple of these in the plain jane 900 run configuration. I have one set to race, I have miculeck grips on it as well as all my other "shooters" Its' recoil is sharp and after about 20-30 rounds in a row (long field course) I'm ready to not be shooting it. I feel that is because of the light weight vs the N frame guns. Physics say that and I'll agree. BUt man I really like the little gun.................I'd rather have a 6 inch than a 5 if it was me. compared to a 610 on reloads? It's like comparing a 625 to a 610 if you ask me.......I think it(646) actually reloads better for me (compared to a 625), but I have small fingers and can handle the L frame better than the N. 3. Not me. I'll see some of you at A-1, the rest at Memphis in Oct. Hop Edit to add: turned my slot down too.
  4. I'm having computer problems ( can you say VIRUS) So applications and stuff are stuck for now. ST. Jude has OK'd us to use their name on all offical stuff (that was the biggest hurdle) so things will get rolling pretty good now. Have had some great stages sent in. Thanks to all who sent some. Hop
  5. Just got home from working out of town. Happy belated birthday Mike. Maybe one day I'll catch you. Hop
  6. Way COOL !!!! Matt, just watch out for Rodney.................he likes suprising you with cakes and stuff . Hop
  7. Since you have the 610, shoot it and save the $$$ and spend it on ammo. IF you are very competitive, or competitive natured, get the 625. The only difference is the 625 has bigger holes to charge and thus makes it a little more quicker on the average. My single fastest reload that I have actually seen on the timer came with a 610 though. Recoil, weight, feel, are all the same or if they are different at all it is not noticeable. So, in other words. Just do what you want to do.

  20. Have been shooting my M1a for 7 years now. the forward mount you talk about works fine as a scout scope mount or even with a red dot on it, beware of short battery life due to the heat though. I shot a 1 1/2 x 5 burris Extended eye relief pistol scope on mine. It stayed zeroed even when hot (as far as I could tell) and had no problems with it. I do recomend you use a good quality scope though if you go down this road. The red dot was really fun, and as long as you don't go past 200 yds it was competitive to a certain extent. Hop
  21. Can you say......................................................... SLEDGE HAMMER Hoaplong
  22. I'm like Knuckles, I see the target, and also the sights, but only as much as needed to get the required hits. Hop
  23. Entry is in the mail somewhere between Tn and ID. I see where the SAT AM/Sun AM squads are full. That is what I was hoping for. Oh well, I'll take whatever since I plan on being there Fri,Sat,Sun any way. See ya'll there. Hopalong
  24. I don't even like 8 shooters, (gamer guns) but I'd do 2 with a 6 or 6 1/2 bbl like in the 25-2 series but .355 also (so they'll shoot). after that, I'll modify one as needed and keep the other in factory condition. Hop
  25. Go to the range, shoot the rifle until it does it again. WHEN it does this inappropriate thing. STOP, give it a few seconds just in case of a slow fire. Then check to see if it is in battery (push forward on the charge handle) If it is in battery, look behind the bolt to see if the hammer is fully forward. If they both are in their appropriate positions then unload the rifle, lock back the bolt and drop check the suspicios round back into the chamber with the bolt locked back (and safety on) If the cartridge falls all the way into the chamber (you'll hear it go "thunk") you need to look at your extractor as your next problem. When and if you have the problem, and the cartridge fits fine, drop the bolt. If it goes all the way and closes then try it (fire it) until it does it again. If you continue to have the problem and it is just not going into battery, go to Brownells and get you a new recoil spring (Wolf xpower) and try some more, but I'll bet that takes care of the problem. Good luck, If you continue to have the problem. (Insert Merlin here) I'll give you $200.00 for it !!! Hopalong
