    Thieves

I'll agree with the thieves ticking me off !!! What we do at our matches: Shooter goes about with the RO checking hits. A few others are pasting and resetting steel. Whom ever is left picks up brass while pasting and resetting goes on. When they get it all up, the brass goes to that shooter. and so on and so forth. When we get a shooter that doesn't want their brass back. whom ever picks it up is who gets to keep it. Hop
  2. Well done guys !!!! Go get'em ! Hop
  3. Plane tickets bought, Hotel, car still needed. Entry going out next week. HOPALONG
  4. Welcome to the fun !!!! While you're down there, make sure you say HI to the bunch in Byram for me. Let's see, Multiple divisions...................... IF you want to, GO FOR IT !!!!!! You will learn to be able to use them all, but if you really want to learn to shoot well. Stick with one. (I am shooting 4 right now) and that is why I'm not very good at any either !!! Either way, Have fun. That is what it's all about. Hopalong

    The AKC

Although NOT AKC, My UKC Coonhounds I used in my Breeding programs all carried titles of CH. or GCH ( bench CH, or Grand Bench CH), AND they carried NT. CH or GNT. CH. (Nite Champion, GrandNite champion). the standards UKC uses promotes good body physics that promote athletic abilities so they can hunt at night with ease. Funny thing, people who looked at the puppies always told me that they didn't care if they were bench champions or not, BUT they always chose the "pretty" ones first. Hop BUT I see your point.
  6. Funny thing, When I was really practicing a few years back, I had much faster splits than I do now. BUT, I now usually hit everything I shoot at. ODD.......................... Hop
  7. Yeah Tom, I agree. I liked the 9 round neutral thing better. BUT, It's not too bad when you only have 6 to shoot 8 with !!! Hop
  8. Blueridge, GREAT !!!! The obvious choices are: Graceland (ride with Elvis in the flying saucer), Beale street (BB king ect.) Tunica (can you say Casino) Might want to PM Lynn Jones (that's his forum name) from these forums for more. Hop
  9. This is a USPSA match, will be level II or better. Make them USPSA legal (pizz on 6 round neutral)(( In all reality it isn't anyway)) Sam
  10. I would like you to send your favorite (or not so favorite) stage for consideration for use at the Memphis Challenge (revolver only match in Oct). Rough drawn is OK, but a good clear stage is better. PM me on these forums for now for information on how to get them to me. IF we use your stage, You may shoot for free. Thanks, now get drawing. Sam
  11. Well, I'm a little late. BUT................... Thanks Hopalong
  12. Thanks guys (and Cliff ) Was a nice quiet day. (JUST the way I like it) Sam

  14. Great match, except for the smart AZZ that put the white target infront of my bullet !!! Good, fun, challenging stages as usuall. Good Job, thanks for the hard work from the staff too. See ya next time. Hopalong
  15. Webpage and entry forms coming soon !!! Hop
  16. I spoke with a "WELL KNOWN" USA Standard team Gold medalist from this years World shoot. He said "He'll be there". So now we have the "not normally shooting revolver" list starting with Him. (I'll let him tell you) I kind of like suspence. The name of the match will most likely eventually change but for now we'll just call it the Memphis Revo challenge IF you like casinos ect. Tunica is 45 minutes or less South of Memphis, You can also go see ELVIS and take a ride in the UFO at GRACELAND !!! IF you like good food and Music, there is always BEALE street. We're working on a web page, and entry forms, please be patient but put it on your calendar. (and talk some of your buddies into coming with you). Hopalong
  17. Good man, we're lucky to have the chance to know him. He WILL be missed. Prayers to Stans family. Hopalong
  18. Match app, and other info coming as it gets finalized. BUT there will always be "show up and shoot" spots . HOP
  19. Jeff, I know, but I did not want to go any farther into November. and too many conflicts in OCT that are already listed. A dontaion would be fine, WE intend to make this an Yearly event so maybe next year well move it farther into September. Thanks, Hop
  20. T Bacus, Saucon Valley shooter, Welcome to the Forums, and especially welcome to the Revolver forums !!! Hopalong
  21. IF you don't get better, I'll come up there and throw your aZZ in the little mudhole ya'll call a lake. (oops, well maybe I'll throw you ON it right now). Get better soon, Hop
  22. The Memphis Sport Shooting Assn. would like to announce: They will be hosting a USPSA level II at least maybe level III match with Revolver division being the only Recognized division. (you may shoot your bottom feeder, but you will NOT get to walk the prize table, or get any thing other than some good hearted ribbing for doing so) We waited later in the shooting season so some of you autoloader shooters that also shoot revolver but not at matches can now attend a major match with your revolver and not wish you were shooting that other gun. (Yes this is a challenge). It is also going to be charity match for St. Jude Childrens hospital, all proceeds will be donated to St. Jude (after match expences are covered) Date: October, 30, 31, Nov. 1, 2009 Place: Memphis Sport shooting Assn. This is the same place the last 3 Tennessee state USPSA matches have been held. Website: www.memphis-ssa.com/ We'll have 10 stages, 8 shot on Saturday. 2 on Sunday with prizes and awards early so all can get home at a reasonable time. Prize table will be walked by order of finish. Special catagories will be getting trophies. Thanks for looking, please come bump elbows with the "regular" revolver shooters and find out what it is like to shoot a "Major match" with a wheelgun. Any one interested in helping/sponsoring/working, please PM me on these forums for now. Hopalong
  23. OK, Here is some more information. The match is a GO !!!!! the range gave us approval last night. Date: October 30 (Friday) for Staff, vendors and special situations. October 31 (Saturday) Regular match begins November1 (Sudnay) End of match, awards a special stuff ect. Location: Memphis Sport Shooting Assn, Memphis TN (Lakeland actually) web address: WWW.memphis-ssa.com/ What I NEED from you out there. 1) As soon as I get applications up, send them in so we can have some upfront operating funds (and not have to get a loan). 2) Spread the word around. Get as many closet revolver shooters you know and tell them about it. 3) Pray for good weather, and a safe match. A few specifics. The match will consist of 10 stages, 8 shot on Saturday, 2 on Sunday for an early awards cerimony and go home. The match IS a charity match for ST. Jude Childrens hospital. All Proceeds will be donated after match expences are covered.(We have to get permission from St. Jude for us to be able to use that name, We're working on it now so until then it's just "The match" It will be a Prize table match, walked in order of finish (Special catagories will be getting trophies of some sort). It will be a Level II for sure, and maybe even Level III we'll see. Any body wanting to help, please PM me here on these forums for now. Hopalong
