You have got to be kidding! Did they tell you all at the walk through that if you damaged any props that would have to pay for it? Hell I have used my own truck at a match for a prop knowing it might get hurt.

I like that fact that my wife is kicking my ass and everyone else at our Tuesday night match. She has been HOA 4 of the 5 weeks and is looking good to take the points for the 8 week series in her class and hoa. I like that we have been eating good food and trying to get in better shape for next season. I like when guys or girls show up to our matches and work there butts off and are not even from our club. I like that fact that Merlin Orr is one of those guys that worked his ass off! Thanks Merlin!

I hate my damn Road Runner service it keeps bouncing! I hate that my right elbow has been in pain for a year and is not getting any better. I hate that I took almost 2 months off from shooting (Dr.'s orders for my arm) and it didn't make a difference. I hate that you can't shoot a match taking 2000mg of Ibuprofen. Found this out at Space City. I hate that my insurance company wants me to take paper work to my Dr. to have him explain his work on my arm. Why don't they just call him!!! I hate that I have to ice my arm between stages. It is the only thing that works but it's a pain in the ass! I hate that I didn't get to go to the Texas Limited! Because of a storm! I hate that my buddy Shane had shit ton of fun at the Limited!

I can tell all of you the problem with IDPA and USPSA!!!! I SUCK AT BOTH!!!!! Everybody just have fun!!!!

Mark, I will tell you that I have experienced that first hand. My wife I and shot with a group from central Texas and I had a couple of guys on my squad that kept making comments about us and our IPSC gear we were using. My wife and I showed up to practice and found out that there was a match going. (This was also our first time at an IDPA match)The MD told us if we got the cash he had the room for us to get some trigger time. We said sure thing!!! Our squad was made up 5 uspsa guys and 4 or 5 IDPA guys. We had a great time but on every stage I heard some little remark after shooting the stage. I have since joined IDPA to support a local club in our area. I look at it this way I will shoot damn near any discipline just to have fun. I don't think any of it is real life after having a brother that was a cop for 19 years and was involved in 4 major shooting in his career. I shoot to have fun and enjoy seeing my friends! I also believe we are seeing a slow change in our area with IDPA group coming over to shoot IPSC and having fun! On a side note Iron Mike was the MD and he is one of the guys that want as preZ of your club. (Super Cool) He made us feel welcomed and that we were part of the crowed even though we had race guns on!

One of my more embarrassing moments in life was asking a guy who raced the same circuit with us if he was into guns. (Fun Ford Events) There was a guy that was one of the big DOGS though the entire 90's racing one of the fastest Ford mustangs in the land. He had the best of everything and knew how to use it!!!!! At that time I had been out of shooting for about 5 years (1997) but still had some of my toys. Well one day I talking gun stuff while at a race and was ask what kind of 1911 I liked. I told them I liked my old Springfield and could not see spending the money on a Wilson. But I did say I would like to have Les Baer and about that time Les looked up from his car we were standing by and said no problem just send me the money and I can hook you up. It turned out that the Les Baer, who I watched all the time, was one in the same!!! He also could tell I had not clue of that!!!!!! I just held my head low and walked off!!!! By the way he was always a nice guy to us and a true Champion racer.

Congrats on B-class!!! I remember I hated B-class and moved out of it in 2 months because I thought all the sandbaggers were there Then moving into A I realized they were all there instead!!!!

My daughter Shea shooting at the AASA Nationals shoot-offs this year! Shea is 10 and Brandon is 15 I believe and is a great kid! This was the finals in Jr's Division!

Got to love the sound of 1600 hp!!!!! Until the convertor lets loose!!! Last month!!!! Thank Goodness for rev-limiters!!! You can never go smooth when you have a 3000lbs car on 33x10.5 slicks running 5's in 1\8 mile at 141mph!! Only plan we make is at the light when it's time to GO! And you want to be fast everywhere!!! By the way I am big autocross fan!!! We have an track down here!!!

Do worry Mark has done gun bags for us and it takes him a while. It is well worth the wait! He's great guy and he is hard to get a hold of but he will not cheat you! His gear is the tops!

I would like to thank all the people involved in putting this match on. It was awesome with plenty of killer stages! Went a little slow but I understand with large stages you run into problems. Our little team from the south did pretty good taking HOA, B-class and D-class. Carlos Guzman has taken HOA for 3 of the 4 years!!! I took 4 th overall and B-class, Charlie took 17th and D-class. I believe they had 58 shooters this year!!!! We are already for next year!!!!! I would also like to say thanks to Carlos Guzman (CG custom Guns) for putting a new top end on my kimber in 40S&W on Saturday last week. He started on my gun in the morning and I tested fired the bad boy at 9 that night. I love that gun. This gun used to a 9mm now it's a 40!!!! Most stages were 30 rounds and up!!!!!! LOTS OF MAG CHANGES!!!!!! 1st Carlos Guzman 2nd Tony Phan 3rd Ted Bonnet 4th Mark Self 5th Nathan Taylor (He would have beat me but had a bad jam on stage 3, we were close all day) Pay back for the AASA steel match were he beat me unconscious!!!!!!!

Larry I wish we could come up and shoot but Carlos, Charlie, Robbie and I going to Shoot in SA at there Single Stack match Sunday. Thanks anyway!!! Charlie and Willy were up last month for 3gun and had a blast!

Merlin there is an indoor range that shoots tonight about 7:00pm in Brownsville. You just never know what kind of shooting they are doing. It's called American shooting range. Well I just happen to know where you can shoot. We have a match every tuesday night in McAllen and 1st and 3rd Sunday in Pharr. There is very little shooting in the lower RGV area!
