  1. my 2.0 is the same way. I need at least 132pf to get it to function, with a tungsten guide rod, and 13# spring. I just picked up a 12#, but haven't got a chance to do any testing yet. With the stock recoil spring assembly, in my 1.0, I can go down to 105 pf, if I put that upper on 2.0 lower, it needs at least 132pf to function. I'm thinking that there's more friction, with the longer rails, and just needs to be shot, a LOT, to get everything smoothed out.
  2. I run Xtreme 115 hp bullets with VV320 behind them, and try to clean/lube about 500 round, and am surprised it runs 100, with as dry and dirty as it gets. As dirty as it gets, with what should be a clean load, I wouldn't want to go much further without cleaning. A fellow shooter said he went almost 5k without cleaning, just to see how far he could go. It must have been a PITA to get apart.

    P320 X5 Thread

I was really hoping someone would come out with a smaller grip for the Xfive. If I was to go to a larger grip, I don’t know that I could reach the trigger. maybe it’s IDPA that I’m thinking about, but I thought something like a tungsten grip was only legal for limited & open
  4. If you're having any feeding issues, .45 magazine may cure it, in a .40. Because of the slightly wider feed lips on a .45 magazine, the top round is presented slightly higher. I've run all of the magazines listed in my .40 Trojans, without any problem.
  5. Unless you have 50K on it, the barrel shouldn't be bad. Is it getting sloppy, between the barrel, and bushing? Even though the Zero 125 grain, jhp, .356 is one of my "go to" bullets for accuracy, it's possible that your gun just doesn't like them. Have you tried various loads? If that's the most accurate load, through your gun, I would maybe give STI a call.
  6. I was pretty shocked that PCC was one of the divisions at our State match, (registration was in January, and match was in June) yet, the same club doesn’t want to recognize CO??
  7. Although all of our local clubs are giving the choice of PCC, some are still saying CO is NFC(not for competition)?

I installed the Gray Guns trigger kit, and it brought the pull weight down to where I can shoot it, but it seems to have a pretty long reset, which I would really like to shorten up

    X5 screws

Are you referring to the screws that hold the rear, iron sight, in place? If so, jcc7x7 is correct. After Sig sent me the wrong screws, TWICE, I got some through my local Fastenal store.
  10. I have one of Firebird’s, original, pre-xn, with a mid-barrel comp, which does help. I also have added 2, mercury recoil reducers, inside the tube, of the stock. It’ a LOT softer than a bare gun, but, softer yet would be better. Where did you get your brake from? I’m not very good at computer searches, but, what I did find appeared to have to be imported from a different country, and the last 2 times I had parts imported, it was a PITA

I did it with a.44 magnum, about 25 years ago. I thought it was a waste of time and money. The gun didn’t shoot any better

    P320 X5 Thread

the first one I wanted to send in, I called their customer service, and I believe I was on the "wait list" for 3 months. In the meantime, I signed up on-line, and had two others done. The time the pistols were actually gone was less than 2 weeks for all

    P320 X5 Thread

After screwing around with my Xfive, trying to get it set up, I finally shot it at an all steel, IDPA match yesterday. The holster I have for it, came with the gun, and it says Xfive on it. I probably should have put it on my belt, and done some practice draws. If I would have, I would have ordered another holster. I don't know what my draw times were, but they sure sucked! The pistol functioned perfectly, with 128pf loads, and whenever I pulled the trigger, when the dot was on a target, there was a hit. compared to my open guns, or, my M&P 2.0, that's set up for carry optics, the trigger isn't nearly as good, my transitions felt a lot slower, and eventhough the xfive is more accurate than my M&P, it has more muzzle jump, and felt recoil. That said, I was surprised to see that I was the top pistol shooter at the match, and also ended up beating several PCC shooters. I know, that on average, I can get my first shot off, with a PCC about 3/4 of a second faster than I can usually get my first shot off, out of a holster. I'm definitely getting another holster for it, and maybe replacing the 3 moa Romeo1, with a 6moa. The trigger pull, with the Gray Guns trigger kit isn't horrible, but, it does have more creep, and a much longer reset than I would like.
  15. Yup, brass makes a big difference in accuracy. Most of my "game" guns will shoot under an inch at 25 yards, with brass, and loads they like. If I use loads they don't like, or mixed brass, I've seen my groups open up to 4". Like rifles, every gun seems to have it's own preferences, for best accuracy. My Sig, Xfive prefers once-fired, Blazer brass. Some of my pistols don't seem to care what brand, but, all shoot best with same headstamp, once-fired brass.

I think that with your rough bore, you’re going to have issues with all lead, or, coated bullets. Try some jhps Sig won’t replace the barrel under warranty if they can get it to do 2”@10 yards, out of a Ransom rest. Surely not acceptable accuracy for ME.

I've seen worse. Is it accurate? SHOULD be able to put 5 in less than 1 1/2"@ 25 yards, or better, with a load it likes. Mine shows a preferance for 124-125 grain jhps. 4 out of 5 always under an inch.

Not on xfive, but did see what looked like “chatter”marks on a full sized barrel

    P320 X5 Thread

I got the GG competition trigger kit, and my xfive back from being upgraded, this week. I followed Alma's video (Thanks Alma!!)? But, upon reassembly, the little "lifter" spring went missing. I was working, on a sheet of paper, on the kitchen table, so I WOULDN'T lose anything. I finally just pulled a spring from another 320, and everything seems to function like it should, and by my old, crappy trigger gauge, it's a little less than 3#, and feels like it should be shootable.? I suppose I'm going to have to contact Sig, next week, and see if I can get another spring?
  24. I thought that possibly it could have been a bad connection, and I guarantee that when the 2nd new battery didn’t make it work, I’m sure that I cranked it way above 10 inch pounds. I went to a screwdriver with a fat handle. I asked them to send me a 6moa, when they said they were sending a replacement, but, they said that they didn’t have any.?
