    PCC in IDPA

When PCC was a provisional division in USPSA, a lot of the local guys were shooting pistol & PCC at the same match, and their placement was pretty much the same, but now that IDPA adds a full second, for every point down, I believe most people can shoot a PCC more accurately, at the same speed of their pistols.

    P320 X5 Thread

Although the chambers on both of mine are shorter than I would like, they are both longer than the Apex gunsmith fit barrel, in my M&P pro.
  3. I’m running a 12# springon a tungstenguide rod on my 9mm but would probably go to a 14# for major You pretty much have to try different springs with YOUR loads to see what feels the best to you
  4. I had two different M&P.40s that would run minor or major without any problem. That said, if you want to play with springs, older Glock interchange. Get a stainless or tungsten guide rod and see what springs works best for you
  5. I am a little color blind, and found that the 3 MOA dots on both my Romeo 1, and Romeo 3 are really hard for me to see, in bright sunshine. Even though I only shot one IDPA match with each. I just got a Romeo 1, with 6 MOA dot, and it’s actually bright enough for me. I’m thinking that I might put the others up for sale.
  6. Good luck on getting the piston out. I just can’t imagine how much carbon/gunk is in there. I run nothing but jhp bullets, so there’s no exposed lead, in the back(just like my open guns) and run VV powder. I disassemble, and clean/lube at about 500 rounds, and by then, it’s plenty dirty.

    P320 X5 Thread

I had one FCU that did the same thing. I just filed a little material away from the trigger, where it contacted the sleeve

    P320 X5 Thread

One of my Xfives didn’t have one in either, but Sig sent me one
  9. If I read the provisional rules correctly, for IDPA, a laser is legal. I think lasers should be legal in all divisions of IDPA. Most everyone I know that carrys, has a Crimson Trace

    P320 X5 Thread

I think this thread cost me pretty close to that. But I had to get a pair ?
  11. Sorry to hear that you got a bad barrel. Both of my Xfives shoot about inch groups at 25 yards, off of bags, with 124 grain jhps. 147 jhps open the groups up to about 2"
  12. I would say a bad piece of brass. I’ve had that with some roll sized brass, that apparently had the roll sizer set too tight.
  13. I think I only have 4-500 rounds through my 5", 2.0, and with a tungsten guide rod, and 13# spring, I NEED to be over 130pf to get it to run reliably. My old, 5" 1.0 Pro, with Apex, gunsmith-fit barrel, will run right down to 100pf. I believe it's the extra friction, from the longer frame rails on the 2.0, because if I put my 1.0 top end on my 2.0 lower, I NEED hotter loads.
  14. No problem Any time you buy a factory gun, it's a roll of the dice
  15. I shot it, with the stock internals, and thought the trigger sucked. The trigger on my 2.0 didn't come out quite as nice as my 1.0, but, it's now shootable.

    P320x5 Carry Optics

I’ve never looked through a DDP. I have a Romeo 3, on an adapter plate, on my other Xfive, and I like it a little better because I don’t see the front sight in the window, and the window is a little bigger, but, in bright sunlight, I barely see the dot. I have a 6MOA Romeo 1, and an adapter plate on the way to replace the Romeo 3, with a 6MOA Viper I have laying around. The glass on the Romeo 3 looks like it has a chip missing, in the top of the glass and has to go in for warranty, which I know will take at least a month.

    P320x5 Carry Optics

I have to put tape on my left lens, so I can only see out of my right eye, which means that I have to look through the scope.

    P320x5 Carry Optics

For those of you that have used the Romeo 1, in 3 MOA, and 6 MOA, can you tell me if the dot is any brighter on the 6 MOA? I'm a little color blind, and am having issues on bright days, with both my Romeo1, and Romeo3, with 3 MOA dots. I prefer the Romeo 3, with the adapter plate, because of the larger window, and it sits high enough that I'm not seeing the front sight at the same time. I'm right-handed, and left eye dominant, so I NEED to see the target through the glass, and with the Romeo 1, it blocks some of the view.

    Romeo 1

If you call customer service at Sig, they will give you a pair.
  20. My 2.0 isn't nearly as accurate as my Pro, with the Apex, gunsmith-fit barrel. I'm really considering another Apex, gunsmith-fit barrel for the 2.0. I've replaced internals on both, with Apex parts, and triggers are about the same. The "small" backstrap, on the 2.0 seems smaller than the 1.0, and fits my little paw better. 2.0 has much less muzzle flip, and felt recoil, than 1.0, or even Sig Xfive. If I put my Pro, 1.0 top end on my 2.0, it has a lot less felt recoil and muzzle flip than if it's on my 1.0 lower. I was really surprised that with the gunsmith-fit barrel, my Pro top end would fit on the 2.0 lower. I can't get it on any other lower I've tried. My biggest complaint about the 2.0 is that they "fixed" them, so they won't auto-forward, when you slam in a loaded magazine.
  21. I'm sure a tightly fit bushing would improve your accuracy.

    X5 competition load

Both of my Xfives are the most accurate with 124 grain jhp, with 4 grains of Titegroup behind them, in once-fired, same headstamp brass. They average an inch at 25 yards. That said, Extreme 147 grain hp bullets, with VV310 behind them, using the same brass shoots a lot softer, but, the groups are closer to 2" @ 25 yards, which, for USPSA is accurate enough for most stages.
  23. co-witness sounds good in theory, but, for me, after shooting open guns for 14 years, it confuses me to see more than just the dot, in the window. I currently have Fastfire3, Romeo1, Romeo3, and Vortex Viper.. I'm a little color blind, so I really need as bright a dot as possible, I looked through a Venom, and it wasn't bright enough for me, but, guys that aren't color blind seem to like them. The glass is smaller than I like on the Fastfire. The other 3, are all about the same. Vortex has the best warranty, which is why I'm considering switching every one to Vortex.
  24. If you already have a 1.0 that you're happy with, the only thing you'll gain with the 2.0 is less felt recoil. I have both. 1.0 has Apex trigger parts, and Apex gunsmith fit barrel. 2.0 only has Apex trigger parts, and is set up for carry optics, partly because it doesn't auto-forward on a reload, and partly because it's not nearly as accurate as 1.0 with Apex, gunsmith-fit barrel. I've been thinking of having an Apex, gunsmith-fit barrel installed, but, I also have 2, Sig X-fives set up for carry optics, and they are almost as accurate as the 1.0 with the Apex barrel, but they don't fit my little paws as well as an M&P, with the small backstrap, and have SLIGHTLY more recoil, than the 2.0.?
