  1. Update on this issue. While I was waiting for a new Plunger/Spring and Extractor to be delivered I put in the Plunger/Spring/Extractor from an older Glock 19. I ran about 300 rounds through the gun without a malfunction, before installing a the new Plunger/Spring and Extractor. I had 2 FTE's with the new Plunger/Spring and Extractor in about 200 rounds. I put back in the Plunger/Spring and Extractor from the Glock 19 and have run about 700 rounds through the gun with one malfunction. The "old" Plunger/Spring and Extractor seems to have fixed the problem, but I don't understand why the new Plunger/Spring and Extractor still had issues. The old Plunger/Spring is a little longer than the new one, so maybe it puts a little more pressure on the Extractor? So the problem seems to be "fixed" or at least greatly minimized, though I'm not really happy with the solution.
  2. No worries, I'll call your bet, and report back. You might be anal about cleaning your gun, ;-) I'm WAY OVERLY anal about people not reading the entire posts. No offense intended On the average I clean the slide parts, take out and clean the extractor, firing pin, extractor plunger, safety plunger, wipe off the barrel every 500-750 rounds. I hadn't cleaned the trigger springs, parts up until a few months ago, so they probably went over 15,000 rounds before cleaning. Not sure if that is more often or less often than average. How often and how thoroughly do you clean yours?
  3. As noted in the original post, I've done several thorough cleanings since the problem began. The last a couple weeks ago. Thorough meaning that I took the gun completely apart, inspected, cleaned and lubed everything.
  4. Yep, comes with the spring. Re-chrono'd today. Temp in the low 30's - loads chron'd a little above 128 PF. I will try and remember to report back once I run a few hundred rounds through the pistol with a new extractor/plunger/sping assembly.
  5. Using a 124 g CMJ Montana Gold - Same bullet I've used for the last 2 years. I've ordered a new Extractor and Plunger. I will try this first and see how it goes. Thank you
  6. The rounds were ejecting fairly far. The loads chrono to ~ 130 PF and I'm using the same loads that I always have been. Since the problem started I've taken extra care during reloading and measure powder throws periodically. Thank you
  7. I have a Gen 3 Glock 34 with a Vanek Classic Trigger installed that has 15-20K Rounds through it. Could be more, I have not kept an accurate count of how many rounds are through the gun. All other parts are stock and nothing has been changed since I installed the trigger a couple years ago. Recently the gun has started to have periodic Stovepipe FTE's. The malfunctions are inconsistent though seem to be increasing in frequency. The just fired brass is usually easy to remove from the ejection port and the next round will usually feed properly. The mags I use are all Glock 17 round mags purchased ~ 2 years ago. I've cleaned the mags and checked the springs and they all seem ok. The springs are very close to the same length as new springs. I'm hoping to get some help diagnosing, or tips on what I should try to figure out what I need to do to fix the problem. I've done several thorough cleanings and that didn't seem to help. Thanks for any help
  8. I was one of the lucky few that was able to get through to register for a match. I also sat at the computer for ~ 1.5 hours hitting refresh until I got through to the site, missed family time etc. Yes, I am a little angry and very disappointed that my registration is now null and void, but it really is the fairest way to handle this situation. As someone else said above, s**t happens. I am certain that no one at 3GN had any idea that this would happen, maybe they should have known, but it happened. 3GN has stood up and apologized for last nights mess, lets all be adults and get on with it. On another note - I am in favor of giving those people that live closest to the match a little advantage to sign up. Maybe those that live in the surrounding states get 1 hour to sign up, before registration is opened to everyone else??? Regards, Steve
  9. The class rankings for 3GN are different than USPSA, instead of D,C,B,A,M,GM it is AM - Amateur M - Marksman HM - High Marksman SP - Semi-Pro P - Pro EX - Expert To get classified you have to shoot at a club that offers 3GN Qualifiers. There is a map on the front page of the 3GN Site that should help you. See this link for more details - http://memberships.3gunnation.com/content/html/clubseriesinfo.pdf
  10. Mine have held tight for ~ 1 1/2 years now, at least a couple thousand rounds. I used loctite and so far so good. I love these sights!
  11. Here is the release on next years 3GN Regional Matches - http://3gunnation.com/news/details/artmid/509/articleid/238760/3-gun-nation-announces-3gn-regional-championships-in-2014-. Unless I missed it, I believe the classifiers will still run at the club level, but it looks like we don't have all the information yet. From the 3GN Site
  12. Here are a couple more options, one with HVT penalties. We are also now using Practiscore. ScoreSheet.pdf ScoreSheet-HVT.pdf
  13. Looks like there is some inconsistancy in the 3GN Classifiers. Some of them do say in the stage description that the rifle reload does have to come off the belt. Unless, I'm missing it on the stage description it does not say that on 03-13. Stage attached to post below. So, I believe the answer to your question is yes, you could use coupled mags for your reload. Maybe someone from 3GN will see this post and give you an "official" answer.
  14. I have MGM LR Flasher and could make up most other types. An example is in the attached file. The forum won't allow me to attach a Sketchup file, but I could email it to you. PM me if you are interested. Edit: I had forgotten that I had uploaded the target to the Sketchup Warehouse - this link should take you there - http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=4bf4fc139b6ed2ebcc1aa7451a853edb&prevstart=0 Stag1Bay3.pdf
  15. Many of the major matches and clubs will put their stages on-line. A couple listed below. A google search should bring up many more. - 2013 USPSA MG Nats - http://uspsa.org/new_nationals/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/2013-Multi-gun-nationals-all-12-stagesv2-2.pdf - 2013 NW Multigun - http://www.nwmultigun.com/Stages.html We have started keeping our club stages online as well. Most of our 2013 Stages can be found on this page - http://www.nwmultigun.com/Stages.html Steve
  16. John Paul, the owner of JP enterprises has a saying that goes something like this, If there isn't drops of oil on your elbows and your glasses after shooting, then your rifle doesn't have enough lube in it. See this article - http://www.jprifles.com/3.1_tech.php?document_id=172 I live in a very dry, dusty environment in Nevada and keep my rifle "very wet".
  17. 400 yrds Off Hand - That was friggin' amazing! Wow!
  18. I would prefer the online registration as I would like to know if I got into the match as soon as possible. I also like the convenience of the on line option
  19. We will be using Practiscore for our 3-Gun Match this weekend that will have a 3GN Classifier. Results should be uploaded to Practiscore by Saturday evening under WNPL 3GN uses a slightly different scoring system for their Club Series/Classifiers than most 3-Gun matches. Not sure if this will be an issue or not, but thought I would mention it. I've created separate penalties for the Classifier.
  20. Took me several attempts to upload our match today, but it did finally upload and folks were getting the posted match via PS immediately after that with no problem. Its been a little over 2 hours since I uploaded our match and it is still not on the site. I've tried uploading the match again, but now I get an error message that the password is incorrect, though no match password was ever created. Not sure what I should do now.
  21. It may be working now, I tried uploading again and finally got an ok message. Results aren't on the results page yet, I'm probably just too impatient. For some reason the results page is loading very slow today from my internet connection. Match name is WNPL Sept USPSA
  22. Is the results feature/page down? I've been trying to upload today's match and keep getting an error message? When I try and access the results page via the Practiscore website, it won't load.
  23. Yes, I believe so. The scores are posted by the MD to the 3GN site and as mentioned above will show up immediately. If they are not showing up, they were probably not posted in the correct format. I believe for the scores to show up a Match has be created, the correct stages marked as classifiers, then the scores uploaded using their scoring template, which is a .csv template available on their site.
