  1. You've got it! Looks good on my end. Just an FYI to anyone who wants to print/download their own photos. Just click the download link, and you will get the full size photo downloaded to your computer to do with as you please. SmugMug also does a very nice job with printing if you choose that path.
  2. Nicely done Denise! Nice look to your SmugMug site. As far as I can tell everything is working ok on the Awards Gallery, though I don't see the download option on the other 3 galleries. You might need to check the Gallery settings on those galleries and make them the same as the Awards Gallery. Steve Steve
  3. I've had the Safariland and a Brownells and now use a Eberlestock Sniper Drag bag. The Eberlestock is hands down the best bag of the three. A little pricey but well worth it. Easily holds a Benelli M2 with 10 round tube, AR, Mags etc. Excellent quality materials and zipper. 4. Photos of Squad 5 and 14 can be seen at the following link - http://rohirrim.smugmug.com/Shooting/2013-Rocky-Mountain-3-Gun My wife took over 1600 photos of these squads! There are photos of the RO's on those stages as well. This was a fantastic match! Thank you to Denise and JJ for putting it on. To the RO's and the rest of the staff as well as everyone else involved with the match. I hope that I will get in next year! Steve T - Squad 14
  5. I was thinking of driving our Toyota Highlander to save on gas. Is this a mistake? Should I drive our Pickup instead?
  6. This will be my first time at RM3G and I'm getting excited! In preparation can I ask what the longest rifle, slug and pistol targets will be at? Are the new 40 round PMags allowed in Tac Optics? Thank you
  7. The first line is 1 mil, the first dot 2 mls, etc. As noted above all at 6 power.
  8. I agree that the rules you quote are a bit confusing, but a Magwell or slide lightening will not put you in Open for most Multigun Matches. The Brazos limited gun you mention in your first post would not put you in Open Division. The USPSA Multigun Rules (http://uspsa.org/RifleShotgunMultigun%20Rules%201-1-2013final.pdf ) Appendix A2 pg 62 are bit easier to follow in that for Tactical and Limited Division it refers you to Limited pistol Rules. 9. Did some load tests for a friend who has a 40 cal, 6 in Custom LimCat STI. Hope this is helpful to someone. 10. You will most likely need a specific load for each. Each weight and type of bullet will most likely need a different load to get the best accuracy out of each.
  11. Take a look at the AP Customs Load 2 carriers - http://www.apcustomusa.com/carriers.php Towards the bottom of the page. Very well built, light weight and good shell retention. Also see this post below - http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=172835 for a review
  12. Testing from Chrome on a PC Desktop. Looks like it is working now. It was not working for me, the last couple of days.
  13. Nice job on the video Tim and congrats on the Versamax win! Couldn't have been won by a more deserving crew. It was a pleasure shooting with your family. Steve
  14. They hold up "ok" while prone. I've practiced quite a bit with these and used them at SMM3G and at a local Match. If the terrain is even while prone, then they hold shells well. If there are rocks, grass tufts etc then it may cause a shell to drop (usually a bottom shell). I've noticed that if you accidentally hit the top of the bottom shell while reloading or while prone that it can cause that shell to fall out. That being said, these are great caddies. I'll have them at Nationals next week if anyone would like to see them first hand. Steve
  15. Sorry if I missed this, but I can't find the rules for scoring the classifiers on the 3-Gun Nation Website - says they are TBA. Since we will be running one of the classifiers at our next match next week I just wanted to check on the scoring. Is it the same as for the Pro series (as below)? 9.1.4 Any 3GN reactive paper target designated as a "shoot" target must have either one "Center" hit in the 8" Red circle OR have two hits anywhere inside the 17.25" Black circle to avoid penalty. 9.1.5 Scoring targets with penalties include: 9.1.5 a) One hit in the 17.25" Black circle and NO hit in the 8" Red circle = 2.5 second penalty for the Miss on Target (MOT) 9.1.5 Target Not Engaged (TNE)= 2.5 second penalty for not making the minimum one center hit, plus 2.5 seconds for the TNE Procedural, for a total penalty of 5 seconds per target. 9.1.5 c) Only holes made by bullets will count for score. Evidence of the actual bullet must be present on the target, i.e. crown or grease ring mark on the hole. Holes made by shrapnel, fragments or flying debris will not count for score. 9.1.6 Knock down (KD) style plates must fall to score. 9.1.6 a) Any KD plate engaged with SHOT must FALL to score. 9.1.6 If a KD plate is struck by a Rifle or Pistol bullet and the bullet turns or spins the plate, but does not fall, the competitor will get score/credit for the KD plate in question. 9.1.7 Failure to knock down a KD plate will result in a 2.5 second penalty. 9.1.8 Failure to engage a KD plate will result in a Target Not Engaged. 2.5 seconds for the TNE Procedural and a 2.5 second penalty for a miss, for a total penalty of 5 seconds per target. 9.1.9 Metal scoring targets will be painted before each competitor. 9.1.10 Frangible targets (Clay birds) must break to score, one BB hole is a break. 9.1.11 Engaging but not breaking a frangible target (miss) 2.5 seconds, per target. 9.1.12 Failure to engage a frangible target will result in a Target Not Engaged. 2.5 seconds for the TNE Procedural and a 2.5 second penalty for the miss, for a total penalty of 5 seconds per target. 9.1.13 All props, walls, barriers, vision screens and other obstacles are deemed to be impenetrable "hard cover". 9.1.14 Walls can be shot under and over only when permitted by the written stage briefing.
  16. I have three of them and like them a lot. Excellent build, look great. I just used them at the SMM3G and they performed well. Likes: Build Look Easy to attach to ELS plates Hold shells well during movement Are not any more uncomfortable while prone, kneelling etc than any other carrier Easy to put shells in carriers Cost is less than some of the "plastic" brands, though higher than others. Dislikes If you happen to hit the bottom shell near the top of that shell while reloading, going prone, kneeling etc the bottom shell can fall out. The screws on the spring steel come loose. Need to either use loctite, or keep a wrench handy. Summary - highly recommend! I will also have them at Nationals in Vegas. If anyone would like to see them give me a shout. Steve
  17. The Western Nevada Pistol League is now a 3 Gun Nation Club and we will be adding 3 Gun Nation Classifiers to our Monthly Match. The April Classifier will be 3GN 01-13 Down and Dirty. We will also have 4 other stages - http://wnpl.org/Stag...201304-3Gun.pdf Match Set up begins at 0730 - The more volunteers we have the faster set up goes! Hope to see you there, Steve
  18. Here are a few stages from our January match and our upcoming April Match. Hope they give you some ideas. Steve April2013MGStages.pdf January2013MGStages.pdf
  19. Another happy Decot user. Since I have both astigmatism and age related Farsightedness they customized the lenses for both conditions. I can see my front sight with my pistol, as well as see the distant targets with Rifle.
  20. Just an FYI, the 2013 USPSA Multigun Rules have been posted at the USPSA Website.
  21. If your one hit is in the "A" zone, or upper A/B zone then you would not have any penalty.
  22. When entering scores I've noted that on Android Devices it tells you how many shooters have been scored on each stage, where there is nothing about this on my iPad. I apologize if this has been brought up before, hard looking through 30 pages of comments. Is this by design? if not it seems like a handy thing to have.
  23. I think using a bolt rifle has the potential to be fun. If the focus was more on speed over precision accuracy then it could still be fast paced. I've seen bolt action rifles shot very fast. The old 60 second Lee-Enfield drill comes to mind. The divisions could be similar to current 3 gun divisions with an Iron Sight and an optic division in .223 and possibly a Heavy division for .308 rifles. It would not be unreasonable to have some relatively close paper targets, and then reactive or knock down steel in the 55+ yard range. Small enough to make them a little challenging, but large enough that it doesn't require going prone to shoot them- trying to keep the speed part of the game up. The Mini MGM Autoresetters, the Lollipop type targets come to mind. Targets around clay size. Seems like there are a ton of possibilities and stages could be designed around them.
