    Thumb safeties.

The cheapest option is to buy the extra power safety detent springs. Another option is to use the tumbler style extended SA safeties so that you have two sets of springs, one for each side. You can use the extra power springs on those as well. You will need to trim the left hand safety to clear the slide stop though.
  2. IIRC, a round limit was never in place for production division as it was envisioned. You were supposed to be able to fill the mag(s) that came from factory as is. But as with all things competitive a race began where manufacturers started manufacturing higher cap magazines. I believe the last one was Sig offering a 21 or 20 something capacity magazine.Idk where uspsa got 10, and IPSC got 15 from but the intent was to level the capacity field. I am guessing during world shoot, production division, the mag capacity goes up to 15 then? But it'll be just right for Production Optics...... Some of my shooting buddies were telling me about production optics. I guess a tanfolio stock 2 with an optics will be priced at 3k then . The madness continues. Yes, a Production Optics division would be fun, lol.
  3. Titegroup and SOLO 1000 have given me single digit SD's for a variety of loads.
  4. I thought he was working on CZ basepads. I would like about a dozen short basepads that will lengthen an SP01 Mag to 141 mm.
  5. Production is supposed to be simple. 9mm is ubiquitous and not all factory 9mm makes major. I shoot a 40 for Production. I don't feel less competitive shooting a 40. Download it for minor and I think it shoots softer than a lot of 9mm at the same PF. If you don't think you can be competitive with a 40 or even a 45, the answer is practice, not major. Umm, many folks shoot minor because they don't have the grip strength or have existing injuries that prevent them from handling major loads. A good majority of shooters do not reload so they are stuck with whatever they can get at the store. Practice won't alleviate those issues ...
  6. I am sure that it was made so that those who have restrictive magazine capacity laws in their state could compete. What I don't understand is why they do not have a Production Major Class so that those who run .40 and .45 can be competitive against those who run 9.
  7. I feel the same way. After both of my CZs were declared illegal for IDPA, I said I'd never buy another gun for this game. But as luck would have it, the custom CZ P01 that I got to carry will work in this division. So that's what I'll shoot. I don't expect to be competitive with our top shooters using their ESP and SSP guns. But I'll still have fun. SPO1 Acu Shadow eh? I wanted to use my Canik Stingray but they have this lame ass width maximum that causes issues for double stacked pistols with ambi safeties. Seriously, its like they only wanted Glock 19's and 1911Commanders with single sided safeties to compete.
  8. Hell I'll make that trade Savages, both of you.
  9. I am curious to see what the reviews will be. I think they look cool but I don't see how they would perform any better than what is currently available.
  10. Holy large font Batman. I picked up a new Witness Match Elite in .45 ACP a few months ago and it had been excellent out of the box. I have done zero modifications to it and it has functioned flawlessly and the trigger is nice right out of the box. I have not had any of the firing pin issues or mag issues that you have described. It helps to keep the mags loaded overnight to get the springs to set. As far as your sighting issue is concerned, make sure that the rear sight itself is centered with all of the sight adjustments centered.
  11. Another + for the EP detent springs.
  12. I am just curious about masking off the bushing area.
  13. All of my powder hoppers are dark. I leave powders in the hoppers all of the time.
  14. Agree. I've played the 20 questions before only to have 'the buyer' back out or end communication and during that time a second or third interested party pass because they found the same item or something else. This has happened to me more than once. I feel for the OP though, I always seem to miss the super "Deals" that pop up randomly in the classifieds, LOL. I actually breath a sigh of relief when I don't see anything posted that I missed.
  15. OP, if you think that is bad, you should see what EAA is charging for complete slide assemblies ...
  16. This works great. OP are you sure you removed the setscrew? I made that mistake once before on a rear sight, LOL.
  17. This is what I am interested in looking at. I have a fancy doohickey for 1911 springs that I use a fish scale with but I want to get a setup for CZ and Glock springs.
  18. How does one measure cz spring weights?
  19. I have had this happen to me on more than one occasion.
  20. Darn, I wish I would have known that before buying more wolf springs.
  21. Are you sure about that? The 10 round mags with the plastic bottom pieces have shorter bodies. I would imagine that there would be less coils on the shorter mags.
  22. Back in the day when I was rocking a Square Deal for 9 & 40, I was able to buy one a used one set up in 45 for $275 in Commiefornia. Buying the dyes, toolhead, powder thrower, shell plate, large primer system, etc. was close to that if not more.
  23. I have not seen anything else lower. I am guessing you could just trim a full size spring. If you do, don't cut it as short as your current one since recoil springs will set and get shorter on their own.
  24. That is incorrect. The only issue that may arise from have a magazine fully loaded is the pressure they exert on the feedlips.
