hammer springs should never actually wear out. I've run 11lb, 8lb, 9lb for years in my various guns and from new to retirement they don't vary more than a quarter of a pound when put on a scale.
-
I do not run extended firing pins, but run 9lb hammer spring with the light firing pin spring and have zero issue with S&B, CCI, Federal and Ginex primers.

CZ Shadow 2 Recoil Buffer - Poll - How many run with vs without?
slavex replied to ShredderTactical's topic in CZ
Don't recall that discussion coming up, I never had any issues with my guns when I ran em, I went to a steel one mostly because I got it for free from Angus, and then ended up liking the little extra weight it added. -

well I wouldn't know anything about competition or going drinking with the guys after work in UB either, or the CZ team, or really anything I guess. -
CZ Shadow 2 Recoil Buffer - Poll - How many run with vs without?

Go to the factory in UB and talk to the engineers about the shockbuffs, strangely they'll disagree with CGW. But of course they are just shilling those $1.50 shockbuffs that last like 10k rounds. -

S2's have always come with buffers, special edition Shadows also came with them, ones designed for competition shooting, the Shadowmates, Canadian, Australian Special etc. -
which is legal, unless Dino decides to interfere.

Springer Precision sells a really nice aluminum retaining plate that works with the Henning pads, been using them for a year or so.

yeah I just yank (remove) the front sight and put the roll pin back in, I then smack (hit it lightly with a hammer) the roll pin where the sight was, to distort (slightly alter the shape) it a bit so it can't easily move

thank you Brian edited to add Snagged the image from your profile pic and used that. Image below if anyone else wants it, already in the right format for Chrome BEnos.ico

anyone ever made an icon for the forum? All Chrome gives in my bookmarks bar is the stock Invision icon, a kind of black and white Globe or something, same that I have for a few other sites

I only get upside down cases, or cases under the plate (which is a whole other nightmare), if I overload the hopper. With my calibrated Kraft Peanut Butter Container (TM) I put about 600 cases in my older RL1050 hopper and it will run smooth. Anymore than that and I get upside down ones, as the slots can't clear and will hold upside down cases in place, not letting them tip out. I have also had to clean the plate, just like I do with the Dillons, to remove built up case lube grunge. Too much and the cases won't slide in the slots either, causing the same upside case issue. Both are avoidable with proper care and maintenance.

Spray glue. Put on grips, and even on back of the tape, over existing glue. Follow instructions on can. done.

what issues are you having? -
finally got around to putting the Springer Precision magwell on my Shadow 2 Optics gun. It will swap around between my Optics gun and my Shadow 2 Orange as I play in Production, Standard and Open division in IPSC during the season. It is a much nicer setup than the CZUB magwell, and not just because of color. It allows you to keep your full length grips of choice, not needing short ones like the CZUB magwell does. You do need to use the appropriate basepads however, your factory +2 won't work without some grinding. I use the original Henning pads for the Tanfo small frame mags, you can see in the pic that the Shadow pads Henning makes have a thicker shoulder above the flange on the mag, so that you can't overseat the mag like the Tanfo pads would allow in a Shadow. Took a little bit of fiddling around to get the magwell on correctly and the small spacer screws adjusted right, but once done, it's rock solid and looks a ton better. Might do a slight blend of the pistol where you can just see a small lip of the frame. But, it shouldn't affect things. On my Orange that lip isn't present, different frames, different tolerances I guess.

is it a CGW disco or CZUB or CZC disco?

thank you thank you thank you! Love that it is back. having no info on if it was permanently down or what was scary.

I wonder which style of locking plate they are selling?
-
I've had mine for awhile now and love it. I have three old style 1050 case feeders, two really old ones and one that came with the my Super. I had installed the ImmortoBot Pro upgrade on the one on my Rollsizer, and then received the DAA plate after the fact. I wish I'd known about the plate before ordering the ImmortoBot upgrade, the DAA plate is fast enough for the Rollsizer, 6100rph and makes the ImmortoBot upgrade unnecessary.

The MGW tool is awesome, super well built and will last forever. Do not forget to oil the threads on the pusher though, I've seen people that did and mangled the threading as a result, when pushing super stuck sights

Yeah I have Henning Pads on all my mags, including for my Orange S2. My Orange pads are in the case with the other parts for the gun that I swapped out. (and no I won't sell em)
