  1. Having had a FART for 2 years now, I have chased everything...hard and soft water, too much/too little lemishine, etc. if you wanna have it perfect, bite the bullet and use the cleaning solution sold by FA. Works perfectly every time.
  2. have a few of each. CK stuff improved design and much better machining, IMHO.
  3. that ain't nothing-i was reloading in the garage once when the garage door spring broke. it is L O U D! had to sea bag those boxers.
  4. Bern's Steakhouse in Tampa, FL. Nothing in the upper 50 comes close, period.
  5. I have a docter slide mounted on an SVI for 3 gun. It's been running since 2002. Dean charges $200 to bullet proof, not $125
  6. Most folks I know sold their diffusion chokes long ago.
  7. Let's hope not. Senior, super senior-dumb. I don't wanna be recognized and 1st old dude. There's a whole generation of kids coming up that are used to medals for showing up. It's BS.
  8. That's nice what benefits is there besides weight to the fluted barrel? Thanks whole idea was to reduce weight. 6" try-top slide with lightening cuts and fluted barrel ends up being lighter than a 5" gun. less reciprocating mass.
  9. Does it matter? It is really cool...
  10. So would the Chamberview devices be illegal in this scenario as they do not insert INTO the chamber? Not being a smartass, but I keep hearing this argument, and although I agree that it should be a proper chamber device, I am having a hard time defining it.. Also, does anyone else worry about putting something plastic into their chamber after a good 40 round hoser rifle stage? That chamber is pretty darn hot at that point.. I am just trying to recommend an all encompassing solution for the ruleset, and you all are the greatest resources for the thought process.. mike-excellent point. no way i'm shoving something plastic into a hot $700 JP chamber. i used arredondo's ar flag, it only locks open the bolt, it does not enter the chamber. i have yet to se an AR fire from an open bolt, like Macs do.
  11. Chuck, it maybe easier to understand, but it doesn't make much sense to have the same number of points for stage you shoot in 3 seconds and for stage you shoot in 80 seconds. You shot 3sec stage for a 0.5 second slower and you already lost 25 points for the match. Fortunately most quality 3 Gun matches don't have stages that are only three seconds. That would be ridiculous and a complete waste to call it a stage. Any MD that put a 3 second stage in a match and actually called it a stage should be ashamed. you wouldn't be referring to stage 11 at superstion?
  12. Maybe so, but IMA rules need to be updated to cover slung guns. Aside from that, (which was covered in the WSB) stage 7 at this year's superstition allowed shooters to sling anywhere they wanted. Our squad got swept by the squad in front of us repeatedly. I'm sure we swept each other as well. That needs to be thought out.
  13. Interesting. Wonder if you replace the word "rifle" with "pistol", at a regular USPSA handgun match, whether the outcome would have been different?
  14. I'm curious what Troy's take on this would be. But I can tell you, at non-USPSA multigun matches, when slinging is involved, sweeping happens regularly. Still hate that.
  15. bob-having shot the past 4-5 uspsa mg nationals, i can tell you there are rarely ever any vendors there.
  16. since the MG nationals are around then, i assume vegas.
  17. Saw folks bitching about a person that had the wherewithall to use a rear bag on a rifle stage. Run whatcha brung!
  18. Kurt- Try a 50/50 mixture of Hoppe's no. 9 and weapon shield grease. Smells great too!
  19. green is almost permanent...stick with blue.
  20. i'm not sure there is much left to innovate when it comes to the gun. optics-sure, there will be smaller, more adjustable stuff coming. mags-i think there are several ideas out there that might get R&D'd to allow for some rather interesting interpretations on the 170mm length. ammo-look for even lighter bullets once some better slow burning powder arrives.
  21. I remember shooting with Ron...RIP my friend.
  22. I fly to the nats all the time. Cart nice but no big. Figure the stages for the day, park 1/2 way between them and hump gear. Long range stages are all alone and you drive right to them. It's simple, until it starts hailing. Oh yea, and mud.
