just had this happen at the golden bullet yesterday. shooter reloaded, gun went bang after the mag was seated, but only one hand was on the gun. dq'd the shooter for 10.5.3, who arb'd the call. arb committee ruled in favor of the shooter. haven't read the arb yet, but i believe the line of thinking was that the reload was complete once the mag was inserted, so 10.5.3 didn't apply. didn't matter one way or another to me...

ok, i did this as a sample to take to the tatto dude. scale ain't right but i want to be able to see the reticle...

i've seen jamie's legs/arms...but he ain't that hairy. i almost got one when i got out of boot amp in 71...stood in line in s.d. waiting to get the obligatory "usmc bulldog"...decided at that point what if the crotch was not good. anyway, 35 years later...here i am. still think a BAC reticle would look cool...besides, most of the tatoos i see i have no idea wtf they're supposed to be, so why not a reticle?

thinking about a tatoo (mid-age crisis). gonna do a TA-11 reticle, but i'm pretty hairy. how the heck does one look like once the hair grows back?

Last week we had a short stage with a swinger and some movement. I had a mike on a stationary target, engaged while standing still, and could not figure out why. In looking at a video, it was odvious. in engaging the activator popper, as well as another before the swinger, the video shows the gun moving from the stationary target to the activator, basically at the point the gun is beginning to recoil on the 2nd shot. obvious mental error in racing to the activator, not from it. the video can be seen here: http://web.mac.com/speedoption/iWeb/CAPSL/Movie%202.html

hate to say it but that os is a bit long of tooth. i don't recall every haveing issues when i ran jag or panther, but tiger seems solid, and i do tons of tabs...

how do you rate? when i shoot against him, he doesn't get 280 penalty points one a stage! what'd you do, read him a separate stage procedure?

i bought a case a few years ago and noticed that too. not a problem, but wait till you try shooting them...that's another story (at least with mine). they all sit in a box now...want 'em? quick update...ivan (blackdragon) was interested in what problems i'd had with the brass. i sent him 6-8 of the cases and within a week, i find a case of 2,500 38 super rimless cases on my porch! this guys cares! i'll load up a few hundred and head to the range and report later. assuming the problems are rectified, they have won back a customer, big time!

i can give you a down side, albeit rare. in 20+ years of shooting and probably 16 years of being an RO/CRO, i saw something last weekend i'd never seen before. guy was shooting a glock, so no 3 sided slide, BUT flat on top. the odds are slim, but this guy was engaging targets and a case landed on top of his slide and stayed there. it was in the middle of a long shot so the splits were not quick. i'm running the clock so i'm watching the gun. he calmly flicks the glock and continues. interesting-would never have guessed that could have happened...

was flying outta o'hare a few years ago and the plane taxis out to a far part of the airport and sits there, for a long time. i switched on the radio to listen to the pilots and find out they are burning off some fuel-guess that's somewhat common. in any case, i hear one of the pilots say something to the effect, "i hope we have enuf to get to sacramento". needless to say, it was not a fun flight.
