  1. I use the Ready Tactical I got from Chris Patty.
  2. CR pouches were deemed legal if you replace the tension thumbscrew with a regular machine screw. This was about 4 years ago.
  3. Mine have never rotated or come loose. Put a dab of blue loctite on the screw, position the pouch and tighten, then leave alone for 24hrs.
  4. I'm running Action Handgun matches the way IDPA used to be shot. No fault lines - none in real life only hazards, and up to 22rds per stage. Makes you really think on your shots.
  5. If you drop the mag (empty) with a round in the chamber and leave it there - PE. If you pick and retain it up before the last shot of the stage - no PE. If you drop a partially loaded mag and leave it there - PE. If you pick and retain it up before the last shot of the stage - no PE. These are including a fumble. If you drop a partially loaded mag because of a malfunction and leave it - no PE, because the mag is considered the problem.
  6. What happened to me at a USPSA match in NY, with John Amidon as the RO, I stowed the mag on a change and after unload and show clear John said that other game came into play and I said yup! Laughs all round.
  7. The difference in the loads for 9mm and 38SP is the air space between the powder and the bullet base.
  8. That's a good idea. Ba9 appears to be like Unique. It was before I got a chrono that I played with Unique in the 38. Good luck.
  9. My opinion is if you want .357, then use .357 brass. I don't see the need to stress 38SP brass. Everglades recommend using jacketed bullets for load data, to a max velocity of 1200fps. Hodgdon has 5.4 - 6.1 for the XTP. My opinion here is if you can get that amount of powder in a 38 case, why would you want to risk pressure spike into the realm of OUCH? DON'T DO IT!
  10. I'm running 4.3gr/Titegroup and getting 790fps from my 4" Smith. Temps were higher than your's. Your crimp looks perfect on the enlarged pic. Mine are taper crimped.
  11. Look at the CompTac's too. They are very good.
  12. I have an STI Ranger II and the downside is that the 10rd 9mm MecGar's will not work. It was on their web site.
  13. Pic #2. As Farmer said, pick a match primer. I like Federal 210M or CCI BR2.
  14. You can't go wrong with a Rock Chucker. Mine is 46 years old. Only load rifle on it. Never an issue. For pistol/revolver I use a 1050.
  15. If people put them out on public or on programs like Trident, they must expect them to be used. Mine are open plus I have a private file on Trident. Facebook has a Dead Zero page and the stages are published there too. Some of the stages are very good and some not so.
  16. I use Trident. https://tridentstagedesigner.com/ I pay $10 per year for access to the design plans. Worth every penny to me.
  17. I've double nutted some of the dies.
  18. I used to practice my reloads with my eyes closed. My index finger runs along the front spine of the mag on the mag draw, and finger finds hand to insert the mag. Do this at chest height, but I have seen people do this at chin height.
  19. They are a great bullet and have loaded and shot 75K+. Stopped buying them when they stopped free shipping. Can't find they in my neck of the woods. A shame.
  20. I quit using WW primers after I purchased 5000 just after they change from the nickel cups to the brass/plated cups. More misfires than I had had previously. I use Federal, Remington and CCI. All of my revolvers are set up to ignite CCI.
  21. While the Smith sight is good, I really like the Millett on my 4" Smith. Never had an issue with either sight. As Carmoney said, get the installation kit.
  22. Yup! They expand larger that the regular. Also good for 20 ga.
